As has happened in the past, Israel doesn't always show proper leadership and "as it stands, Israel's leadership are as limp as a wet dishrag." Instead of blindly supporting weak leadership, we should be praying for Israel and its citizens that they find God's will in their actions. The best way to support Israel is to pray for her. Israel, as a nation (concerning leadership)....and as a population, individually, make many mistakes. No point denying that. But I feel a speciall affinity with Israel and it's people. One that we, as Christians, should all feel, I believe. God still has His hand upon Israel.........and He has spoken that He will yet do great things through His 'special possession'.......and this doesn't only impact Israel, but all believers. So.........I support Israel!

Why do you think it is that the world has always opposed Israel? .........Because they have always opposed God, and what He has chosen to do for the world...........and the way He has chosen to do it! People should be willing to humbly (and gratefully)..........(yes, gratefully) accept that He chose Israel, as He did, to 'shew Himself' to mankind. I, for one, consider myself privileged to lend my voice to the support of Israel, and to what God is doing through her (as He has always done in the past............and remember........God never fails)........and to what He will yet do in the future. So........until God 'casts off' Israel........I will choose to support her and her Divine, God-given purpose in this world. My Redeemer was a Jew. God 'stamped His mark' upon the world through the Jewish nation of Israel. He showed, all through the Bible, that He is with Israel. Even concerning future prophecies.......He shows that He is WITH Israel. If He is with Israel........then so am I! As Christians, we worship the God of Israel...(The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob). I will turn my back upon Israel when God Himself does so...... Watch this space.......... ....But don't hold your breath There is a God in Israel! Guest
The State To Come Peace Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.Psalms 122:6 Immanuel And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also? Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good. For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.Isaiah 7:13-16 The Root Of Jesse And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins. The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim. But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them. And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod. And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.Isaiah 11:1-16 The Holy One Of Israel And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.Isaiah 12:1-6 He Still Stands And Knocks Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.Revelation 3:20 For God So Loved The World That He Gave His Only Begotten Son For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.John 3:16 Come Quickly Lord Jesus, Come Quickly! Supporting Israel doesn't necessarily translate into unconditional support for the Israeli government, despite what you may think. Praying for Israel is an important first step, but it is only the first step. Israel needs people who will stand up for her and dispell the misinformation, half truths, history revisionism and outright lies that plague Israel as much as terrorism. Israel needs better informed advocates who can articulate their position accurately and dispell the myths perpetrated by the Palestinian PR machine. I don't think so! Evil, maybe but weak? When we pray for our leaders, we pray that God will direct their steps. We pray that they will do righteousness even when they don't want to do God's will. We pray that God will give them dreams and visions. We don't care if they think the dreams are nightmares and the visions are psychosis. We also pray that God will find a way to introduce Himself. I do not trust the government of Israel at all. That is not the issue. I placed my trust in the God of Israel long ago and I will continue to do His will. It was God's idea to choose Israel. Christ very specifically ordained and began His Church very directly when He spoke to Peter, can this Church persecute anything? No of course not, can the people who call themselves Christians who are part of this Church be wrong, yes they can. One is totally spiritual and one is not, so yes we can and should criticize when necessary the visible Church, but the true eternal Church is of Christ alone as its head and can never be wrong. As much as I support Israel, I do not link my faith to Middle East politics, nor should any other believers we must hold to Christ and pray for the conversion of Israel to faith in Christ, this is the first priority.
