But perhaps unlike some others, I carefully consider my ussage of words before I post. I also have a habit previewing my posts to make sure that I am not being abusive to others. I have been known to edit posts several times before, and after, submitting them to the boards. But I suppose what you consider abusive is a matter of perspective anyway. Jesus Christ Son of the Living God is the only man to be called by this name. To call him God-Man is blasphemy, and he should not try to get others to adress him as so. If I ran around and called myself The Son of God, do you think God would be a little offended? Do you agree 100% with Douay's last reply? What do you want to boot me off if I do? Ask your question? What do you really want to know?

If the catholic church is the one true church ordained by God, wouldn't it therefore be infallible and without error? If that were so then why has the catholic church made so many mistakes? Just something to ponder. edit - Spelling Edited May 6, 2004 by Cerran

If you wish to understand why I use the nickname "God-man" you really should ask, or do a search on the forums. There was a thread related to nicknames, in which I explained why I use the term. I have to admit that I find your response a bit humorous. God-man is not a Biblical term, therefore, how could using the term be construed as blasphemous in any way? Is it because the Roman pontiff used the term first, and that this was the work of the Holy Spirit? Please answer my question with a simple yes or no, then we can proceed. Thanks. Trinity is not biblical either, and if I said I am the second person of the trinity, I am being blasphemous. Don't let your false solo scriptura ideas lose this arguement to logic and reason of a silly Catholic.

It would not be blasphemous to use the nickname "Trinity" in this forum either, so your point is dead in the water. BTW: It's sola scriptura. If you want to call yourself by God's name that is between you and him. So your point is moot.

So I guess it is moot after all. Now how about that answer?

If I came on these boards and call myself Jesus Christ you would flip out and you know it, and blasphemy against any of His names is a sin. What is your question, my brain is full?
