Greetings, all:

In this forum and in others, I often read discussions of prophecy. Almost always, these discussions end up with a debate about the end times. There are so many ideas floating around these days, and I find them so confusing. :P

How will the world end? When? What will be the precise mechanism for our rapture (if indeed there is one)? Pre-trib/post-trib? I've been a student of the Bible and church history for almost 20 years now, and I have absolutely no opinion on the matter. Further, I have very little interest in forming one.

Since childhood, I have always believed that when the end comes (whenever/however it comes), only one thing will matter: either I'm saved, or I'm not. And since it will come like a thief, it will be far too late to negotiate some kind of deal. :th_praying:

So someone please tell me: What am I supposed to start doing now, in view of the end, apart from that which I'm supposed to be doing, anyway? Thoughts?

Thanks, Rufus, but my question was more specific than that.

I was particularly interested in the end-times thing. :th_praying:

I think I understand your position. I'm not a big fan of "knowing" when the end will come. Certainly, the end comes to all in one form or another...so what matter when or how.

What matters, as you pointed out, is wheather you are saved or not...so....first see to yourself then see to others.

Be a light, an example, witness and lead...really this is all one can do.

Yes, it can be very confusing. I personally believe that is the work of our adversary. He convinces many of one thing, such as the Lord is coming by a certain time, and when it doesn

I'm gonna get slammed here, but I'm gonna say "nothing".

If you've accepted Christ and are doing everything possible to live the Gospel, there's really nothing else to do.

A heart full of repentance will get you into heaven before a head full of knowledge.

At last, a straight answer!

Then why so much debate on the topic? :whistling:

Without knowledge of God's intent Jonah would not have been able to save others from God's wrath . . . are you just trying to save yourself?
