Many people are discouraged because they feel like their prayers are not being answered; they feel like God has forsaken them! God wants you to understand today that you didn't pray wrong and He's not refusing you! It's not your prayer that's being blocked, it's your answers!
Look at what Daniel 10:12-13 says:

"...Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning? The "everlasting burning" in this verse is not Hell, but rather is speaking of God. God is an all-consuming fire, and we are to become ignited so that we are fully consumed in Him.

WHY DO WE NEED TO PERSEVERE WITH GOD IN PRAYER CONCERNING THE SALVATION OF OTHERS?
IT'S CERTAINLY NOT BECAUSE WE HAVE TO
The Lord is calling us up higher. When God begins to manifest His glory, we need to make sure that we don't try to pitch tents and build debasing structures. Jesus was transfigured before the eyes of Peter, James, and John. Peter suggested tents be built, but this was not the heart of God.
When man sees the glory, there is the fleshly reaction to capitalize on what God is doing--building earthly structures, etc.
As believers, we need to set our natural thinking aside, and ask the Lord to

Matthew 27:32 - "Now as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: Him they compelled to bear His cross."
"Compelled" - (Greek: "Aggareuo", Strongs 29) literally translated -- to be pressed into public service or compelled to "go".
The word for "bear" (Greek; "Airo", Strong's 142), literal translation -- to take up or to take away.
When Simon and Jesus took the cross to Calvary, "they were come (together) unto a place called Golgotha" (Matthew 27:33).
