  1. I think this is just another outrageous example of political correctness going miles too far. They should just use a current map and be done with it - OR: They could use a map of what things will look like 1 year after the Second Coming of Christ. Yes, I like this choice.
  2. I'll just say that I consider the Rapture of the Church Which is the Body of Christ a Bible Fact not subject to interpretation or debate. I also think that anyone who truly studies God's Word will arrive at the same conclusion: the Rapture is a Bible Fact. The problem is that quite a few folks these days dismiss many portions of the Bible as allegories or otherwise spiritualize them away. I consider this to be a dangerous and improper thing to do with God's Word. I personally believe that the Rapture will be before the 7 year Tribulation Period, but I've seen some reasonable arguments for a Mid-Tribulation or Pre-Wrath Rapture. It's not ironic that the folks who deny there will be a Rapture at all will also dismiss the Tribulation Period, the Rule and Reign of Christ, and many other Bible Facts. I consider Bible Prophecy to be a very worthy study, even though it takes many years of effort. Bible Prophecy is in God's Word for many important reasons, so I don't think it's wise to dismiss so many portions of God's Word simply because they are difficult and take years of effort to understand. One can't study Bible Prophecy without studying most of the Bible, including the Old Testament. I'd just like to mention one fact for thoughts on the issues in this thread. The Rapture of the Church and the Second Coming of Christ are two separate events. Christ doesn't come all the way down to the earth for the Rapture, rather He catches the Church up to meet Him in the air. The Rapture is a happy and joyful event, a Promise from God. Jesus Christ comes all the way down to the earth at His Second Coming, and it's in Great, Holy, and Righteous Wrath. Most people who study their Bibles believe that Bible Prophecy yet to be fulfilled are all real events that will most certainly happen. The same was true for the portions of Old Testament Bible Prophecy that was fulfilled in the New Testament. Regardless, this would be a moot discussion for folks who dismiss Bible Prophecy in one way or another. It does seem as if some folks are in the habit of dismissing difficult portions of Scripture, so they miss out on some of the most precious truths of God's Word. I don't like to debate these topics because most people already have their minds made up. I know that my mind is already made up, and I firmly believe that all of Bible Prophecy will be fulfilled down to the smallest detail. They all make perfect sense when one takes the time and effort to study them. I do want to include a few other examples that I believe to be Bible Facts: 1) The Anointed King of Israel is Jesus Christ, and Christ will take His Throne - the Throne of David in Jerusalem. Christ will rule and reign over the earth after His Second Coming. 2) The Tribulation Period is real and hasn't happened yet. 3) The Rapture is real and hasn't happened yet. 4) Israel will be restored, and this hasn't happened yet. 4) The devil will be bound for 1,000 years, and this hasn't happened yet. 5) The nations will learn war no more, and this hasn't happened yet. 6) Christians will be given Glorified Bodies, like the one Christ has. After all, flesh and blood can't inherit the things that await in our Heavenly Home. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 13 But we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them that fall asleep; that ye sorrow not, even as the rest, who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also that are fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we that are alive, that are left unto the coming of the Lord, shall in no wise precede them that are fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; 17 then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the power of sin is the law: 57 but thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not vain in the Lord. nChrist
  3. I think that all Christians need to put things in the proper perspective of importance in our lives. We eat when we get hungry and drink when we get thirsty, but this is for our physical body that we will only be using for a short period of time. God's Word rightly compares our current physical body to a "tent" because of its temporary nature. Now, let's consider the importance of feeding our spirit and make a comparison between food for our physical body and food for our spirit. Hebrews 5:12-14 For when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need again that some one teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food. 13 For every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word of righteousness; for he is a babe. 14 But solid food is for fullgrown men, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil. It should be obvious that we pay more attention to spiritual food than food for our physical bodies. One is temporary and the other is eternal. If we can make time to feed our physical bodies, we can make more time to feed our spirits. If priorities must be set, spiritual food should come first. This is how we become strong in Christ. nChrist
  4. I personally think that WND is an excellent source for news. I would dislike having to depend on the mainstream news media for the truth because they appear to put their political agenda above the truth. This is an example of why Freedom of the Press and Freedom of Speech is important. In the absence of these rights, all you get is the party line. Sadly, this appears to be where the powers that be want to go. nChrist
