  1. We've been seeing news articles about General Motors lately. This is a commentary with some interesting figures in it. Goodbye America
  2. Dare I enter this? Hitler was a member of the Thule Society, a German Brotherhood of Death, an exact counter part for Skull and Bones, but S&B is much older. Once you get a picture of how Hitler came to power, how he deceived Christians... Anybody who takes the time to look can figure it out.
  3. From my just completed thirty minute Bible study on this passage, I find that Wesley, Jamieson, Fausset, Brown, and Vincent Word Studies all agree that the
  4. Sunday morning attendance shows how popular the church is. Sunday night shows how popular the preacher is. Prayer meeting shows how popular The Savior is.
  5. Here is another story about the ark. It doesn't really add anything new but I thought it interesting it says "religious leaders" instead of what the first article said, "Jones has now received permission from both known and secret Kabbalists to finally uncover the lost ark. Quote: Now Jones is convinced that with the help of ancient documents found in Qumran, he has pinpointed the location of the Ark. And armed with the blessing of religious leaders, Jones hopes to reveal the location of the Ark by Aug. 14, which marks the Fast of Tisha B'Av. This holy day commemorates repeated tragedy in Jewish history including the destruction of both the First and the Second Holy Temples. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article....RTICLE_ID=44495
  6. I know what that is. It's somebody's foot stool. Isa 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool:
  7. I found this: http://www.counterpunch.com/estulin05272005.html Seems like a lot of detail. Their security must be really bad. The part about the Logan act is interesting. I wonder if that was passed before or after Jekyll Island. As for preparedness, I don't think the three Hebrews showed up at the the firey furnace with asbestos suits. Jesus said Occupy, not fortify till he comes. I liked George's email the other day about the conies being a feeble folk, but they make their homes in the rocks. The difference is we don't have to leave our shelter to find food like them. In that sense we are more like turtles.
  8. That is a neat picture. You're sure it's not fake? It could be taken with a wide angle lense of someone's backyard or something. That's enough for now. I'm going.
  9. I don't know where you got that piece of information, but I'm sure they have been discussing it for a long time. Romans 8:28? Yup, still it's there. No worries.
  10. Here is a little more expalination. I hope I have put this in a way does not make anyone think I am mean spirited or anything. Typically people will understand the characters and the movie in the context of what they can relate to, so it is difficult to try to say that Gibson may have had something entirely different in mind when he wrote the script. Character development was not a strong point of the movie anyway, which is serious draw back, especially for his main character. Who would make a movie to strengthen people
  11. He is not the only one pushing that by any means. Think about it. The one world government they dream about is a socialist dictatorship. How can you have a global dictator running around if America is still strong, free, and has her military in tack? The answer is not very. So America has to become a third world type country.
  12. I don't know about his source for this article but I have read this numerous times for years. The figure I recall about Gulf War vets was over 50% either were on disability or had applied for it. It seems reasonable to me that this stuff is not healthy and it is being used indiscriminately in huge quantities creating inconceivable suffering for non combatants and there is very little public awareness about it.
  13. Who would have thought that we were fighting with nuclear weapons in Iraq? Quote: Women living around these facilities have reported increases in endometriosis, birth defects in babies, leukemia in children and cancers and other diseases in adults. Thousands of tons of DU weapons tested for decades by the Navy on four bombing and gunnery ranges around Fallon, Nevada, is no doubt the cause of the fastest growing leukemia cluster in the U.S. over the past decade. The military denies that DU is the cause. I wonder how the women and babies around Basra are doing. There is not much on the nightly news about that is there? Some one would say, "President Bush is a Christian, he would not allow that". Maybe somebody should tell him. On the other hand there is much prophesy about Babylon that has not been fulfilled. Jer 50:13 Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues. I'll go check my Bible for Romans 8:28. Yup, still there. Thanks for posting this. BTW that's HENRY Kissinger.
  14. Why do you think that some people call the film "too Catholic"? To be sure there was a great deal of Catholic imagery in the film. I am in no way knowledgeable enough to give accounts of them though, but do you remember what Peter did after he denied Christ? Who did he go to and what did he do? What did Mary cry out when she stood before Jesus hanging on the cross?
  15. WOA, Don't read my 'side of the mountain'!!! I read that as a kid and I have never been able to shake the desire to be a hermit. Jack London wrote some good stuff. Call of the Wild.
  16. You can buy a book called "Basics of Biblical Greek" by William Mounce. There is a work book that goes with it. It is a first year college level course in Greek. His web site is http://www.teknia.com/. (teknia=child) While you are waiting for the book to arrive you can start by learning the alphabet from the web site. When you get that down, you can then pronounce most greek words that you find, or get close enough for your own purposes. Then you can start building a vocabulary. I haven't got any farther than that but it has been helpful many times and someday I might spend more time with it.
  17. That is true. Romans 8:28 has NO EXCEPTIONS. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Constant was sad for other people who didn't see a deeper meaning in the life of Christ because of the movie as she (?) did, and I was sad for people who should have seen the deeper meaning of the movie's errors but didn't. So we are talking about totally different audiences and I can share in that sadness for the reason she gives. Since there were very few words to the movie, it relied entirely on images and symbols to communicate. Theological symbols carry very different connotations for different people. They have no clear definition like words. Therefore when communication is attempted through symbols, and thus emotion alone, it only has the illusion of communication and the person only thinks they understand it. It is all in the eye of the beholder.
  18. I don't say this to be confrontational but I think it is very sad when Christians do not get a perfectly clear view of what the Lord of us has done to purchase our redemption from scripture alone and they would in any away allow a movie to enhance that view, ESPECIALLY this movie which is so doctrinally depraved. And I think it is nearly as sad that they don't see, or don't care how grossly misrepresented OUR LORD is in it.
  19. You can get Gregory Peck's reading at audible.com. You can hear a sample but I didn't care for it. What I have and listen to quite often is by Alexander Scourby. It is an add on to the Online Bible software. You can download the software for free, but the audio part is $50 I think. Audio Bible Online Bible It only plays on the computer, but I listen with cordless headphones so I can be anywhere in the house. It wouldn't be too dificult to make tapes or audio CD if I wanted to. It depends on what you plan to do with it. You can download an audio bible from here for free. A lot of other good stuff too. Fire Fighters For Christ

    AMEN!

Amen and HALLELUIAH. There is another pretty neat word that is a non-translated from the Hebrew and well known through out all nations, peoples and tongues.
  21. I just would like to make one comment I heard Chuck Missler say in his commentary on Revelation about the seven churches and seven ages. In selecting these seven churches to send messages to, the LORD could have put them in any order what so ever and it wouldn
