The State Department is planning to welcome thousands of immigrants from terror-watch list countries into the United States this year through a "diversity visa" lottery -- a giant legal loophole some lawmakers say is a "serious national security threat" that has gone unchecked for years. Ostensibly designed to increase ethnic diversity among immigrants, the program invites in thousands of poorly educated laborers with few job skills -- and that's only the beginning of its problems, according to lawmakers and government investigations. "There are a lot of holes in this program in terms of security and in terms of fraud," said Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., who has written legislation aimed at killing the lottery. Included in the lottery are all four countries the U.S considers state sponsors of terror -- Iran, Sudan, Cuba, and Syria -- and 13 of the 14 nations that are coming under special monitoring from the Transportation Security Administration as founts of terrorism. Pakistan is excluded because, like China, it sends over tens of thousands of immigrants each year and doesn't need to be in the lottery. Blessings, I watched most of the video and from what I understood the speaker to say is that if you voted for the one in office who is pro abortion, Obama, then you are just as guilty as the government in place endorsing abortion and God will hold you accountable for it. With this I agree with. He compared it to the murder of the Jews in Nazi Germany saying that while it was Hitler who decreed the murder of the Jewish people even though it wasn't Hitler himself who executed the Jewish people, but he is guilty because he decreed their execution along with the people who participated and carried out the mass murder in the Holocaust. Christians need to be the moral policemen, or salt of the earth, and know who they are voting for and what they stand for in any election and if a candidate is against any of God's moral laws, then we need to speak up because as the speaker said, "'we, the people," are the government who God has put in place and God will hold us accountable. The speaker is right, I believe because according to the American Declaration of Independence from England and the American Constitution. The Constitution being the document that establishes a government of the People by the People, and for the People. The Declaration of Independence is the document that establishes the supremacy of the people over the government and establishes the right and the duty of the people "to throw off such Government", and to provide new people for their future security. The Declaration of Independence states: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. That egg hasn't actually hatched yet, so we need to look at 2010 cautiously. You can bet the democrat party knows they are in trouble and will have some evil, illegal scheme to bail them out. Anything could happen with this bunch, so I am not overly optimistic. We know first hand what kind of people we are dealing with from the bribes and payoffs we've seen them use to get what they want so there is nothing to stop them in 2010 from doing the same. I prefer the Judea Christian archeology in the nation's capitol. Have you ever been to Washington, D.C.? The architecture radiates with the nation's Judea-Christian heritage. Just to mention a few.... The rotunda of the U.S. Capitol contains four paintings: two prayer meetings, a Bible study and a baptism. The Library of Congress contains a bronze statue of Moses holding The Ten Commandments, plus other Biblical paintings and quotations, such as: "The heavens declare the glory of God". Blessings, I don't think America needs any new scanners. If the government Immigration Department and Homeland Security would do their job, enforce the immigration laws and start rounding up foreign nationals that cannnot provide up to date visas and start deporting them back where they came from, it would send a loud message and act as a deterrent to others. This is only good in the sense of straining out the unwanted riff raff that drift in from other places but wait until it is homegrown terrorism which is happening in the UK and on a smaller scale Aus - Last year, the Christian Action Network produced a documentary about the 35 para military homegrown islamic terrorist camps already scattered around America and Canada, so they are already here and have been for some time. One of these camps is just one and a half hour drive away from where I live. These camps are sponsored by the terrorist group Jamaat ul-Fuqra (JF) or "community of the impoverished" and its notorious Pakistani founder, Sheik Mubarak Ali Gilani What is of great concern is that federal and state law enforcement authorities have investigated and monitored JF and its front group Muslims of the Americas (MoA) and delisted the group as a terrorist organization. Nor has the IRS taken away MoA's charitable tax exempt status. Stopping just one potential terrorist is a success story. There are literally millions of foreign nationals in America who come in illegally and legally from all over, including Middle Eastern countries with a valid visa, claiming to pursue an education. Once here, some never make it into the educational system, but slip through the cracks and are not heard from. My point is that the federal government needs to do their job, and follow through and monitor at various intervals these foreign nationals coming into America from Middle Eastern and European countries claiming to seek an education to make sure they do; and if they don't, round these people up, and enforce the immigrations laws, and deport them instead of letting them slip through the cracks, giving them an opportunity to join up with one of these terrorist camps already in process.
