If you understand that in order to enter the kingdom of God, "Ye must be born again", and if you believe in your heart that Jesus is the Christ, you are born of God. If you are born of God, you are saved, with your name written in the book of life. So simple. If you believe that Jesus is the Christ your salvation is assured, period, no other modifiers need apply. In the midst of your sin, If you believe that Jesus is the Christ you are still saved. Repent, get clean and back on the path, but your sin cannot cancel your salvation. What God on the one hand says you are saved, and are forgiven, and are washed in the blood, and having grafted you into the body of Christ, then turns and says, oops, I'm sorry, Christ was not sufficient unto your sin, you're done, and tears you out of the body and throws you into hell? Not the God that I know. The only way to get thrown into hell is to reject Christ. The only way to get into heaven is to believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. To believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is the only requirement for salvation, until after you are saved. Repentance comes after salvation.

Hi Nita, when the bible was written, it did not have any chapter divisions in it. The book of Hebrews for instance was an undivided document like a handwritten letter. In this light we can go back to chapter eleven and read it in front of the verse 12:1. All those who were commended for their faith in chapter 11 are witnesses to faith in Christ and the obtaining of the hope of their faith by the hand of God. The faithful of chapter 11 are the great cloud of witnesses mentioned in 12:1. Also, without faith it is impossible to please God. So anyone who has been granted the request of any prayer obtained it in faith, and is a witness in the great cloud so to speak.

Hi Warrior, The only reason anyone gets sent to hell is for rejecting Jesus Christ as God, as Lord, and as Savior. All other sins fall into two categories. The first is for degree of punishment in hell if the sinner died without being born of God [ one who rejected Christ as God ]. It is such as this who are judged for condemnation who will suffer for the type and frequency of their sins. The second category belongs to those who received Christ in faith and were born of God while alive in the flesh, and therefore born again and found to be members of the body of Christ. All of their deeds will be thrown into the fire. Those things which were done in faith and obedience will survive the flame and will determing the degree, or size, of the believer's eternal reward in heaven. All sins in the way of thoughts, words, deeds, and things that should have been done but were not, shall be consumed in the fire and remembered no more. Although we must be aware that grace is not a license to sin. Otherwise, there is penalty and judgement for sins in this life in the flesh. And God is the God who punishes the children for the sins of the fathers to the third and fourth generation. Those who genuinely follow Christ repent of sin while in the flesh and follow Him. If a genuine believer were to have an abortion, this would be a gross act of knowledgeable disobedience, and a serious sin. Abortion is the premeditated and wilful termination of a human life, which is called murder. I cannot fathom why anyone who knows Jesus would kill her own baby.

There are "The Sons of God", being angels who watched the Lord make the earth. When Satan, the highest of all the angels became filled with pride and rebelled against God, he took one third of all the host of heaven with him into rebellion. Having abandoned their heavenly home, Satan and his angels became what we call demons, which are unclean spirits or fallen angels. When people die, they are sent either to heaven or hell, and cannot return to the earth, so all spirits/ghosts are unclean spirits unless you are fortunate enough to be sent a righteous, or obedient, angel by God. Magic is a fallacy and a deception, as all the results of so called witchcraft and sorcery are the actions of these unclean spirits, and not at all of any power conjured up by magicians, spell casters, witches, warlocks, prognosticators and any others who believe they lay claim to magic. Men have no access to any power at all which could be seen as real magic. All of the power is demonic, not magic. Involvement with any such activity is utterly dangerous as any participants are consorting with demons, whose only purpose connected to men is to steal, kill, and destroy, mostly by way of deception, which they are very very good at.

I cancelled cable a few years ago. I don't miss it at all. If it were possible to get a cable tv package without the filth, and without the filthy commercials all tied up with what is actually fit to watch perhaps I would consider another look, but that is not going to happen. So I will not support them. As for the internet, our ISP offers a robust content filter and excellent malware protection at no extra charge, so its easy to block out the crud. But time with the family is much more rewarding than the dumm box anyway. I don't listen to broadcast radio anymore either unless its christian. The DJs on public broadcast are all stuck in preadolescent boy humor combined with adult oriented filth. It aggravates me. I have sattelite radio these days: radio the way it should be. News from channels all over the world, and music with no ads at all and very little talk from the DJs. There are some questionable channels such as Howard Stern (what a pig! I actually listened to this idiot to see what all the fuss was about) but they can be ignored easily enough, given that there is a lot of classy stuff to prefer.

I think we christians discount or ignore the spiritual realm in most areas of life. Ephesians 6 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. I often wonder if ordinary flesh is capable of such filthy horror as this without pressure from a source outside itself. I think the answer is no.

Satan is the god of this world. His time is short. All the enemies of God are the slaves of sin and serve their father (spiritual) the devil. If one is fully given in to sin and in service to his father the devil, it is part and parcel of the mentality to hate Jews, as they are the chosen people of God as His inheritance from among the sinful ranks of men. The enemies of Israel are the enemies of God, and will be cursed according to their works.

Unfortunately, Satan will yet have his day, and if his days of hatred and destruction were not to be shortened, no flesh should survive. But we have Jesus Christ.
