  1. I have to toss in my two bits on this one. The Lord said at the table of the last supper: Luke 22, 17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: 18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. 19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. 20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. and Matthew 26, 26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. 27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Of the unleavened bread He said "this is my body", not " this represents my body". Of the wine He said "this cup is the new testament in my blood", not "this cup represents the new testament". leavened bread was forbidden, and anything that is not wine in the cup is not the new testament in His blood. To understand that the bread is His body, and the wine is His Blood is to correctly regard the body and the blood of Christ. 1 Cor 11 27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. 30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep To get this wrong is to risk illness or death. I find it interesting that there is no yeast used in unleavened bread, and that when wine reaches about 11% alcohol, the alcohol kills off all of the yeast, and that yeast represents sin.
  2. The Aunti Christ is definitely a female, being the wife of Uncle Christ. Jes kiddin'. Okay, so yeah, Hillary Clinton is the antichrist ... or is it Michael Jackson? Barbara Streisand? Oprah? Pin the tale on the Beast. JMHO: For the alleged messiah to be accepted by Israel he will probably have to prove a direct bloodline back to Abraham.
  3. James 2: 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. Galatians 3: 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. Hab 2:4 Rom 1:17 12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. Lev 18:5 Rom 10:5 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: No contradiction here. It is by the Spirit that we are able to obey any command of God. To keep the written law is impossible. By the Spirit we keep the commands, such as the two greatest. The written law is a curse. The law of the Spirit is life and peace. Read Romans chapter 8 carefully.
  4. From 1 Corinthians 10: 1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. This being long before the birth of Jesus, so we know that the Christ was interacting with men personally. From Hebrews Chapter 7: 1 this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; 2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; 3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. 20 And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest: 21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:) Psa 110:4 22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. The order of Melchisedec is an eternal priesthood. Having neither beginning of days, nor end of life??????.......................King of righteousness???? King of Peace?????............... There is only one King of Righteousness. There is only one King of Peace. The wording is so clear I do not see how it could be missed. Melchisedec is Christ. A note on the phrase "unto God and His Father". God has a Father??? Certainly. Were not all things made by Christ, with the Power of the Holy Spirit, According to the will of the Father? Jesus Christ is God, subject to the will of the Father, who is also God, even though God is one God. This phrase is a direct quote from the King James bible, and a clear statement of the deity of Christ.
  5. The question was "what to do with the old testament law". No man is able to keep the law, it is a schoolmaster to lead us to Christ. If you choose to live by certain elements of the law you are obligated to keep all of it, and this is impossible to a sinful man. Jesus fulfilled all of the righteous requirements of the law on our behalf. So now we walk after the Spirit, being governed by the law of the Spirit instead of the law of Moses. We are to keep the two greatest commandments: Love the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself, because all of the law is fulfilled in these two commands. Love of God is to obey His commands, and Love does no harm to its neighbor. From Romans, chapter 8: 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

  7. Reading the bible is usually a good idea, if you are going to comment on it.
  8. The rise of liberality is the blindness of the judges. Ghostdog, even though Moses was forgiven for his transgression he was not allowed to enter the promised land. And even though the molester should be forgiven, penalty should be harsh and long.
  9. The world cannot see that the enemies of Israel are the enemies of all mankind.
  10. Nice post Christ's Free Servant. Hi Rustyangel. At this point in time, I would say that what is going on in the middle east is just the ancient conflict between Israel and her enemies, who are many. If we see a seven year treaty come out of the wood work, and a man stand up to confirm it to the world we shall have cause to be concerned. As for what christians like to call the "rapture", it is impossible to get away from 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, verses 13-18, and Revelation chapter 20, verses 1 thru 7.
  11. It is a shame that so many of the greater nations of the world are willing to maintain diplomatic and trade relationships with such aggravations as Iran, Syria, certain undesirable elements in lebanon and a number of others in the clutches of Satan. A massive blockade of the offenders would have a calming effect.
  12. If Israel is disobedient in regard to the work of God, which is to believe on the name of He whom He has sent, her enemies surround her and aggravated her much the same way as it worked during the times of the old testament. When Israel was obedient to God, her enemies subsided and lived at peace with her. These enemies of Israel were raised up by God to harass her, and I expect it will remain that way until the end of the age. But all of the enemies of Israel shall face gross judgements against them. There will be no peace between Israel and the arabs until the return of Christ. Even the coming treaty brokered by the antichrist will be laced with violence and minor wars. It has been said many times, and remains true, that if the arabs lay down their arms there will be peace, but if Israel lays down her arms she will be destroyed. All true muslims are at a permanent state of war against all who are not muslims. That is the unchanging bottom line.
  13. The enemies of Israel are the enemies of God. They shall not escape judgement.
  14. 60 grit......Hahahahahahahaha. That's funny, pretty rough. On first love-the question has been well answered.
  15. LawyerForGod, chat would be cool, but being too slow on the draw, I missed you on the bye.
  16. God is a Spirit, we in our eternal nature are spirits, angels are spirits, and demons are nothing more than the angels who chose to follow Satan in rebellion against the authority of God. 24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. 25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. 26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. It is more comfortable for a demon to live in a person than not. All believers found in Spirit and in Truth have the authority to cast out demons.
  17. From Genesis 16: 12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren. Ye shall know them by their fruits.
  18. The prince of the kingdom of persia is apparently still fully active, as he was when he prevented Daniel's angel from reaching him for three weeks, until Michael intervened.
  19. Cool, I am glad to hear that it is not a topic that was shut down for its content, because in these present days and in the times ahead of us, it is a good thing to know our authority in Christ and the right use of it.
  20. Ghosts & spirits people in our Bible study group This thread has been closed without any reason given. Why is that? If there is to be a forum on spiritual warfare, as it is often called, and then the genuine article shows up but is off limits to discussion, what is the purpose of the forum? From the King James Bible: Ephesians Chapter 6; 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, So, I ask: Why was this thread closed? When the devil shows up in strength, most of the christians run, or do the ostrich. I have been privileged to engage in this struggle personally. Myself, my wife, and a strong christian couple who are friends sealed off an entire townhouse complex to demonic entrance a few years ago. We barred the demons from entry onto the property. The demon posessed and oppressed began to move out immediately, as they couldn't live without their demons. People who used to just hide in their homes began to come out in public, and the property manager said to one of us, I love to come over here and work now, all of the bad people have moved out. The development went calm and quiet. I have other friends who at one time used to hunt for demonic activity and cull it. One of those friends is a soldier who, years ago, had a rather unique collection of military assault weapons. When he held those weapons in his hands, they became as much a part of him as his fingers. There was power in this soldier that was not his, but was utterly clean. He was called to his place and loved it. He also had no fear of anything. He and another of my friends once walked boldly into a witches coven to see what was going on. They saw, they assessed, they shut it down. The night they were there was the last time anyone entered that house. It has since been demolished. On a saturday afternoon, one of the men who closed the coven, myself, and another christian man went into a cafe, sat down with coffee and began to talk quietly about God. When we got up to leave, the whole place was empty, which is not so strange, but the cashier was afraid. We later found out that the cafe is in the heart of a district frequented by gays. The presence of God with us was enough to evacuate the place. My niece, who came from troubled parents and even more troubled grandparents, came to live with us for a year while attending school. She brought a number of oddball demons with her. My wife and children were afraid to go into her bedroom because it creeped them out. I thought this too strange, so I went into the bedroom and sought to "feel" what the problem was. At first there was nothing, so I sat on the bed. Still nothing, so I lay down on the bed, and found the demon hiding in the corner. It was a demon of fear. Immediately it seized upon my heart and tried to make me afraid. Nothing doing. I called my wife and children into the room and asked them why they wouldn't come in here normally and got four confessions of fear. So I told them what I was about to do, and that they were to participate. We prayed to God, and then we cast out the demon. As it turns out there were several, because my son was able to discern three separate directions of departure. But bring this up in a group of ordinary "believers" and its a problem, as if there are no demons, as if it is sin to discuss such things. Gotta love that comfort zone. But my children know better. They have applied the authority of God successfully. Indeed my daughter has three converts whose lives she cleaned up of demonic activity. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Demon's are not to be feared. Steel toed boots have more than one function. Freeze the boots first, that way they hurt more.
  21. For many, it is a tough test. We cannot change the world, but we have to live in it. Indeed, we must all pass the test, many times every day.
  22. One thing amazes me about liberals. That the expectation to do as one pleases without regard to the holy Word of God should nullify the Word. Grievous sin and gross herecy in the houses of God. What is the genuine expectation among them? That their claims to their alleged rights should cause the righteousness of God to be overlooked, and that they shall escape judgement? No such luck. The cries of intolerance and bigotry will be the loudest on judgement day. A pastor I heard on tape once related this story. A military chaplain who preached liberal theology was approached by his superiors with the following message: "If there is no such thing as sin, and if there is no such place as hell, we don't need you. If on the other hand there is such a place as hell, and if there is such a thing as sin, we do not wish to be deceived by you, so will you please resign".
  23. It is clear in scripture that homosexuality is abomination. It is "anti" Christ. It is the spirit of antichrist. I look at the global rise of homosexuality and I think of the passage in the book of Daniel, chapter 11, verse 37: "Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all". More and more as time goes on and the world slides into unrestrained sin I suspect that the antichrist will be gay. I can't prove it biblically, but Daniel 11:37 makes me wonder. Perhaps his way is being readied by the forced acceptance of homosexuality. Even in the congregation of God.
