I believe God is the Author and Director of this movie we live in. He's seen the show from beginning to end. The bible tells us the story. If God doesn't know every detail of the future then how can He prophecy the book of Revelation thru visions? Your saying God has not been to the future how can He know if there is going to be 12000 sealed from each tribe? He brings much or most of Revelation to pass. It is also more general than specific. It does not name exhaustive detail of who the 144K are, but it is predictable that He can influence that many to believe during the Tribulation and set them apart as special (more than that number convert in one evangelistic African meeting by some evangelists). Your movie analogy assumes that all of history is complete and finished. This is only possible if the actors right now have already lived their lives and died and the eternal state is now upon us. How can the future be settled in relation to zillions of present contingencies if the people do not even exist to settle it? How can what I am now typing be 'seen' before I exist to type it?! This is incoherent nonsense and desperation to retain a flawed preconception uncritically despite the biblical/logical evidence against it. Everything before this moment in 2011 is part of the film in the can. The camera is still rolling and the film is blank in relation to 2012 ff. The future cannot be like the fixed past and actual present unless choices precede the choices (huh?). Time is unidirectional, not timeless. Creation is not co-eternal with God nor is Jesus forever hanging on the cross (there is duration in God's experiences!). The unique measures of time are created (sun, moon, stars, clocks). Time itself is not a created thing, but a concept. Just as love is eternal with God, so is endless duration the nature of His triune experience before creation and ever since. If there is a moment before and after time ) for human history, then this shows there is duration in God's experiences (or creation is co-eternal with Him in some sort of timeless 4th dimension which is worse than speculation...science fiction, actually). One should not claim eternal now is true since there is no biblical or logical support for it and much against it (which most of you are not aware of because you just accept the Sunday School view). Introduction to this topic (check Wolterstorff out): http://www.amazon.co...m/dp/0830815511 Since most of you are not aware that there is more than two views on the subject, it is too early to be dogmatic unless you can articulate and refute the other views. The way the Muslims are rising up against Israel, Israel won't be around too much longer with one push of the button. If God doesn't know the future than God could be wrong about the 144K or any number thats is given in the book of Revelations? How did God foreknow Jesus would be crucified if there's all these contingencies you talk about? When a movie is created it's creator knows the story from beginning to end. huh? With our human peanut brains it would be hard to understand the things of God. It's like you being a monkey trying to figure out how humans build cars. Sounds like your trying to bring God down to your level. You may not know whats in store for you tomorrow, but God does

1 John 3 20For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart and knoweth all things. I'm going to take this scripture by faith. God created a tree of knowledge (god and evil), so if He can create knowledge He is all knowing. Humans trying to figure out what God knows is like monkeys trying to figure out how we build cars.

  8. Mizzdy, I have to be legal with this particular passage because if we have the faith of Jesus in us it makes this all the more clearer: John 14 12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. My human faith probably would have had me acting like the disciples when Jesus was arrested. When receiving God's Spirit (supernatural faith is included) they were completely different men. Yes this is true but once we are saved there is more....[/size] We cannot have faith unless we know, believe, something is true, first we come to the acknowledgment He is, we know 'of' Him and all He has done, faith is then imputed to us as a gift to help us grow in that faith. I can have faith 'of' something yet nothing can come of that dead faith it has no life I must be able to act upon it in order for it to be real faith and Messiah says that if we have Him within, the indwelling of the Spirit we can do the works He did and greater. Just having faith 'of' Him does not give us that power to move mountains, does it? Once saved, has nothing to do with this I don't think, faith is on going, as we grow our faith increases and we are able to work/serve towards the goal of the coming kingdom. We grow in the confidence to do the greater works as our faith increases in Him. There are a few scriptures that do declare that because of ones faith He is in you. 2 Cor. 6:16, 2 Cor. 13:5, Eph. 3:17, to name a view. If I might ask why is this verse important in a legal view? Or perhaps I misunderstand what your saying. shalom, Mizz Please bear with me I’m not a very good writer (ADHD some physicians would say) But praise God I have the mind of Christ! The reason I’m writing this is because Onelite posted a topic about the gifts from the Holy Spirit and I personally believe the gift of faith is the most important gift. With that gift you could move mountains. This is what led me to the study on faith. Most of us Christians think that way; I did until this weekend. I believe your statement above is faith that comes from the natural mind, such as, I have faith that I can sit in a chair and it will hold me up, faith that an air plane will take me to my destination, faith my parents would feed me as a child, all this comes from experience and knowledge (the tree, It killed Adam spiritually???). I personally believe this worldly knowledge causes unbelief. What kind of faith would it take if I told you there was a chair that you couldn’t see, would you sit in it? It would take a supernatural faith. A God given faith to believe in the unseen which is the spiritual realm. Borrowed from Joe. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 (KJV) I read this as Paul living by Jesus’ faith, or God given supernatural faith. "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Galatians 2:20 (NASB 1995) I read this as Paul living by his faith in Jesus This is a big difference in my mind and it changes the meaning of this passage. It’s an exciting revelation to me and all of you probably knew this already. I prayed for two people with cancer (one died) both times satan was in my head telling me “you just started seeking God you don’t have enough faith” and this created doubt. I stopped lying on hands after that. I believe that’s the deception, we think we must have more faith. Romans 12:3 3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. God gave us a measure of supernatural faith from the indwelt Holy Spirit and now it’s a defense against the devil’s lie! Now I have the sword of the Spirit to fight him off with. The word of God has renewed my confidence to get back into the fight. I don’t think it’s an issue with faith; it’s all about unbelief (from worldly knowledge). If I had a mind of a child I could believe in moving mountains, handling serpents, drinking poison, raising the dead, and many other scriptures we tend to glance over. Then there’s the issue of making the spiritual world more real to me than the physical realm. It’s all about getting scripture down into my heart, I think. To believe like Elisha, 2 Kings 6: 15-17 Faith comes by hearing God’s word. I personally believe with all my heart there’s power in the spoken word of God. That's how I was saved. Sorry it became a story. Peace

  10. darkness--|-----------------------------------Light We all started from darkness and it depends where we are on that line. I'm not where I want to be but thank God i'm not where I used to be. I imagine the closer we get to God, His voice will be louder and the devil's will be smaller. The devil's voice will violate or twist scripture. jmho Philippians 4:8 21st Century King James Version (KJ21) 8Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things.
  11. Tahnk you for your comment and I don't want this to be a war on translations either. I just want to know the true meaning of Gal. 2:20
  12. So are we just going to sit back and wait? Do you really believe that this life....our lives are in the hands of the hopeless and lost? What if this is not the time God is referring to as so many are interpreting that next year may be the end? What if this is still part of the big test and God means for us to continue to fight the good fight and/or stand up as a ONE and be strong? God may have given many endings throughout time and somehow man seemed to correct many errors of ways that may have pleased God....I know many of us please God everyday in as many ways as we know how....Sure, God is not pleased with the corrupt and the lazy and the lost, and the sinners who refuse to grab onto God's gifts of life and eternity...But that's no reason for us to just sit back and repeat scripture as if we are throwing in the towel....Your thoughts? What are some of your ideas of what we should do? I personally feel we should: Preach the gospel, heal the sick, cast out demons, all in Jesus's name. Brother, we are moving to an end as foretold in scripture. The most important thing to do is pray! We do our civic duties and thats all. We should be rejoicing in the Lord that His day is near. When we are upset at the world we are in the world. I still remind myself this is God's plan. Peace While I would agree, I also believe God would never want us to surrender to life's temptations and torment and torture ourselves into believing and accepting that Satan has control on our Land...the earth... We have to trust God! If this wasn't foretold in the bible I would be anxious also. God has been trying to prepare us for these times thru His scripture. The devil thought he was doing the right thing by having Jesus crucified and he thinks he's doing the right thing now, but God has a better plan! satan is a defeated foe. We should be rejoicing! We should pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the way I see it, true peace will come to Israel at the Lord's return. Don't get me wrong we do our civic duties in a Godly manner. We should also be praying for each other. God also commanded us not to let our hearts be troubled and to trust Him! 2 Thessalonians 3 16 Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.
  13. I understand your point, but I am responsable not only to the Lord but those i repersent and other members who know this is not right for christians. Since they would not follow my instructions i could not marry them. thay refused to follow my direction. I had asked them seperate for one month to go through counseling, at first they were fine with this but it was her brother who had changed their minds. I didn't think cohabitation was a sin. Unless you are assuming they were having sex?
  14. I was reading Gal 2:20 KJV “I live by faith of the Son of God and when I went to my NIV study bible it say “in the son of God” The KJV, Wycliff and Youngs literal has “of “the rest of the translations have “in”. Gal 2:16 all translations match “in Jesus” so I don’t think it was a typo by the KJV. Changing that one word changes the meaning from God’s faith to your faith, that’s a big difference. I personally believe it is the faith “of” God because there are other scripture that say that God has given us His supernatural faith. What say you? Romans 12:3 King James Version (KJV) 3For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Galatians 5:22-23 King James Version (KJV) 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

    Faith

Why the lack of faith? Has religion caused some unbelief? Is it our carnal knowledge, maybe that’s why it's good to have child like faith. A child’s head isn't filled with worldly knowledge and will believe anything is possible. All born again Christians can have enough faith to pray the most powerful prayer in their life, receiving salvation, but most don't have enough faith on the laying of hands on the sick. God taught the disciples the power of faith believing by speaking to the fig tree. John 14 (AMP) 10Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? What I am telling you I do not say on My own authority and of My own accord; but the Father Who lives continually in Me does the ([a]His) works (His own miracles, deeds of power). 11Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me; or else believe Me for the sake of the [very] works themselves. [if you cannot trust Me, at least let these works that I do in My Father's name convince you.] 12I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father. 13And I will do [i Myself will grant] whatever you ask in My Name [as [b]presenting all that I AM], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son. 14[Yes] I will grant [i Myself will do for you] whatever you shall ask in My Name [as [c]presenting all that I AM]. Lord I believe help me with my unbelief. AMEN
  16. The Apostle Paul preaches the gospel in 1 Corinthians 15. The shorter version is in Romans 10: 9-10 I wonder why most sinners prayers have "forgive me for my sins" in it? When the above scriptures doesn't have that in it. I realize that once your a Christian you have to repent but not to be saved.

    Faith

1 Corinthians 1 Thanksgiving 4 I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. 5 For in him you have been enriched in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge— 6 God thus confirming our testimony about Christ among you. 7 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. 8 He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. The Corinthian church must have been special because they didn't lack any spiritual gift. Maybe thats the way it's supposed to be for us today but religion has drummed down the power of the cross to unbelief.

I would like to have the gift of faith. With this faith you probably wouldn't have unbelief or doubt creep in.

  20. I guess Paul said it best. Philippians 1 21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22 If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! 23 I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; 24 but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body. 25 Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, 26 so that through my being with you again your boasting in Christ Jesus will abound on account of me.

  22. The Law of GOD WE ALL SHOULD DELIGHT IN THE LAW OF GOD SIMPLY BECAUSE IT IS THE LAW OF GOD NOT OF MAN NOR FROM MAN SO IF WE BELIEVE THAT GOD IS LOVE THEN WE WOULD BELIEVE THAT THE LAW OF GOD IS ABOUT LOVE FIRST LOVE OF GOD THEN SELF AND OTHERS. WE SEE THAT LOVE IS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW. Ro 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. Ro 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. Ga 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Jas 2:8 ¶ If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: If we could truly love God and our neighbor it would be virtually impossible to violate the ten commandments.
  23. One can't support Israel enough. 1Ki 11:36 And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there. One can't pray for the Peace of Jerusalem enough either. peace, dave Yes! Pray for the peace in Jerusalem.
  24. I try not to get caught up in whats going on in the world because it's plain depressing. America isn't going to change, we are falling in line with prophecy (2 Timothy 3:1-3). The only thing I can do is ensure family is ready. What God set into motion, no one is going to change. God told us the story from beginning to end and Praise God for the truth! So I say this to my fellow believers: John 14 The Way, the Truth, and the Life 1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
