  1. What was unbiblical? I hardly think that the evil spirits you speak of have their origin in some spiritual error. the legalism and hyper emotionalism mainly plus the word of faith stuff where they preach that if we say things such as i dont feel good, that you will bring sickness upon yourself just by saying those words. oh my pet peev were those who tried to push or knock you to the ground when they prayed for you and calling it being "slain in the spirit". can you please explain what you meant when you said you doubt the evil spirits have their origin in some spiritual error. Some people are overcome by the power of Holy Spirit. We need to have His discernment to know whether or not someone is intending to create a manifestation. If you have that discernment, then you weren't in bondage, were you? Many of us must learn to guard our minds and control our speech, for some of us will utter a curse over ourselves without knowing it. As for your question, most everyone has some error, and many churches preach error of some kind. While the enemy is successful in diverting the truth from people, it doesn't mean that there is an evil spirit around every corner. God gives us the ability by His indwelling spirit to tap into what He says about what anyone teaches, and we have the authority of the word of God to show us without a doubt that someone is in error. We are safe in Him, as long as we are walking with Him, and getting into His word regularly, and seeking Him first above all things. I agree we all need discernment. it is actualy one of the gifts of the spirit paul spoke of in his letter to the Corinthian church. if there was nothing to discern against we would not need the gift would we? jesus told us to watch out for wolves in sheeps clothing, plus the bible said that in the last days satan would do false miricles to decieve god's very elect. And many are deceived enough to jump on the bandwagon of denouncement of all things that pertain to the movement of Holy Spirit. That does not require discernment. dear christian, do you think that i denounce the work of god's spirit? if so why?
  2. im not going to take this in the wrong way ok..but please dont take what im about to say in the wrong was my self..Read the bible!!!! it is written that the war is not of the flesh but the principalities of darkness...Oh the doc says that my brain is just fine..Amen..thank you for you comment we all have our own opinion..There are others tht are going threw this as well.. Not all called by god will have the same calling..I just receive my answer in a personal email..God bless..Pleas brush up on you bible..I learning as well..What is happening to me could very well happen to you if god calls it to happen.... Hey check out Ephesians 6:12..it talks about it... god bless Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the world's rulers, of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Eph 6:13 Therefore take to yourselves the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Eph 6:14 Therefore stand, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness Eph 6:15 and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Eph 6:16 Above all, take the shield of faith, with which you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, Eph 6:18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching to this very thing with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. it's always good to read the before and after verses in order to get a better understanding of the context- in this context Paul is talking about people when he mentions "flesh and blood" so basicly he's is saying that our fight is against satan not people.

  5. I would like to add something and i say this VERY CAREFULLY. i have some experience my father is schizophrenic, he had many what he thought were attacks from satan, but he would get better if he took the meds his doctor prescribed but as soon as he felt better he would stop his meds again causing a yo-yo effect. now im not saying your crazy holy, i hope you dont take this the wrong way. i'm just suggesting that a person have all options out on the table so to speak. pray and ask for guidance. and dont be afraid of the stigma attached to people with mental illness the brain is an organ just like the rest of our organs and as such it is subject to disease also.
  6. It is important that we experience Christ. Many Christians come to Christ with bondages and strongholds, and it takes some time--sanctification process---before a person is confronted by these things. Yes, we have God's protection on us, and all His promises available to us, but we need to take hold of the authority that Jesus Christ has given us and renounce certain rights we may have given to certain powers or principalities. God is patient while we come to that point. I have witnessed people who have known and walked with Jesus for up to ten years come to their knees due to a stronghold that has suddenly revealed itself due to the advance of the Holy Spirit into their lives as they grow in Christ. Amen sis. maybe i should clearify my self- when i said exeperience based christianty, i didn't mean that we dont have a day to day active relationship with god- i meant the type that focuses mainly on feelings and emotions and the people that think god is ALWAYS talking to THEM. I meant those that believe almost everything that happens has some sort of spiritual meaning, like trying to read between the lines and just becaused they witnessed somthing spiritual they assume its god's spirit at work and they dont even test it like god tells us to do- if your familar with movements like word of faith and charismatic groups you know what i mean You are guilty of mischaracterization of a group of people. God's spirit is always at work, and as His kids, we are to always be aware of Him and His hand in our lives. That is what makes our lives lived in and through Jesus exciting. i do not mean to come across as arrogant, but i was involved in these movements myself and came into bondage due to many of them preaching and teaching things that are unbibical and i had to unlearn alot of what i taught. i wouldn't of changed my pov unless god had told me i need to pray for discernment and test what is being preached first before i accept it as true.

  8. but NO WHERE in the bible does it state that the universe is thousands of years old- it gives no hint either way to confirm or deny, but god has given mankind wisdom and knowledge to study his creation, i mean come on dear brothers and sisters in christ, it's because of us christians burying our heads in the sand that the world laughs and mocks us- again i say we must stop ignoring scientific evidence when it presents it self. a good question to ask ourself is that when anysort of evidence presents itself and it is PROVEN thru the scientific method to be true but yet it seems to conflict with scripture we should do the same thing when we come to bible verses that look like they contradict themselves- carefuly examine both and try to find a way to see how they dont conflict even though it looks like they do.
  9. alot of people have came into bondage due to an experience based Christianity instead of reading and memorizing scripture- the bible says we walk by faith and not by sight so we should go on what god says not what we have experienced, also when someone come to christ and becomes born again, they are delivered from satans kingdom and into god's kingdom, so it don't matter even if your whole family is involved in witchcraft or anything of that nature, you are still protected by the blood of christ.
  10. How did you come to this conclusion? Ciao - viole I didn't come up with it myself but rather the astronomers who ran the computer models and simulations did, there where a few episodes of nova where many astronomers came up with the same conclusion......... i can't promise anything but i'll try to get more info P.S. i'm thankful for science- i'd hate to live in the day's of old where the earth was flat and you had to be carefull not to fall of the edge of the world
  11. Beloved, Why Ever Not The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren; And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram; And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon; And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse; And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias; And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa; And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias; And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias; And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias; And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon: And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel; And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor; And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud; And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob; And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations. Matthew 1:1-17 Unless Most Christians Are Not Believers In The Christ Of The Bible That Is And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli, Which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Janna, which was the son of Joseph, Which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Amos, which was the son of Naum, which was the son of Esli, which was the son of Nagge, Which was the son of Maath, which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Semei, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Juda, Which was the son of Joanna, which was the son of Rhesa, which was the son of Zorobabel, which was the son of Salathiel, which was the son of Neri, Which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Addi, which was the son of Cosam, which was the son of Elmodam, which was the son of Er, Which was the son of Jose, which was the son of Eliezer, which was the son of Jorim, which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, Which was the son of Simeon, which was the son of Juda, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Jonan, which was the son of Eliakim, Which was the son of Melea, which was the son of Menan, which was the son of Mattatha, which was the son of Nathan, which was the son of David, Which was the son of Jesse, which was the son of Obed, which was the son of Booz, which was the son of Salmon, which was the son of Naasson, Which was the son of Aminadab, which was the son of Aram, which was the son of Esrom, which was the son of Phares, which was the son of Juda, Which was the son of Jacob, which was the son of Isaac, which was the son of Abraham, which was the son of Thara, which was the son of Nachor, Which was the son of Saruch, which was the son of Ragau, which was the son of Phalec, which was the son of Heber, which was the son of Sala, Which was the son of Cainan, which was the son of Arphaxad, which was the son of Sem, which was the son of Noe, which was the son of Lamech, Which was the son of Mathusala, which was the son of Enoch, which was the son of Jared, which was the son of Maleleel, which was the son of Cainan, Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God. Luke 3:23-38 All of which is fine, none of which addresses my point. When polling, it is generally a bad idea to include your preferred answer in the question. Unless you want to bias the response, that is. But it's a common enough mistake, even by professional pollsters, especially on this sort of topic. I'm not questioning the bible at all, i know it to be true and reliable. but we cant ignore the scientific evidence that we now have through astronomy, but rather interpret in light of god's word. it would not be a contradiction by any means if god waited billions of years till he made earth and everything in it.....actualy if our solar system was in any othe place in the universe or at any other time we would have a very obscured view of the stars and galaxies and not be able to study it in amazment
  12. I read somewhere that since plants can't be copyrighted, the companies wait til they can duplicate the effect of the plant before marketing. It's all about the dollar signs! Will see if I can find the article again. that's so true. F.Y.I. did you know that some of the chemo drugs used to fight cancer were based off of compounds found in certian rainforest plants. they saw what chemicals made up the cancer fighting properties of the plant and just copied them in a lab.
  13. I'll add my 2 cents but I'm sure others have said something along the same lines. in prayer ask god to help you tell others about him and ask for his spirit to guide you to the right people. I wouldn't have witnessing as my main focus of the day, as i have found out that, at least for me, if i go through the day with an "agenda" it puts more pressure on me so that when and if an opportunity arises it bears no fruit due to a "witnessing to serve and please god" mentality. also i dont remember any where in scripture where god tells us to go out alone by ourself to witness to others. Do you have friends that go along with you to tell others the gosple?
  14. It's amazing how many benefical and disease fighting compounds are in the plants god has made. i wish the pharmaceutical companies would spend more time in R & D developing more plant based medicines. what they been doing so far is just make chemical synthetics based off of plants and those chemicals can have all kinds of bad side effects.
  15. Maybe fruitcake aint so bad afterall! years ago i used to work at a bakery that massed produced many different products. during the holidays you couldn't believe how many fruit cakes that were being made, i didnt know the demand was that high.
  16. Of course they have a moral code. If we need fear of eternal punishement to behave morally, then humanity would be in a really sorry state indeed. And they do not judge/hate God (that would be absurd); they judge the contardicting qualities that believers ascribe to Him (e.g. the sanctioned violence in the OT vs. being benevolent). humanity is indeed already in a very sorry state, but one CAN NOT understand that untill they come to christ and their spiritual eyes are opened. by the way who are we to tell god what he can and cant do? This is your opinion that might be valid in your country or society. i would not generalize, since we do not feel in a sorry state at all. Ciao - viole the heart and mind of man (and woman) are the easiest things to decieve, and by it's very defination a person wont even be aware that they are being decieved- i wouldnt of believed most of the things i say now 10 years ago. that why god gave us an "textbook" for life and to know truth from falsehood.

  18. i think i have a 3 step program that can help step 1. record one of those positive thinking sermons you hear at church step 2. playback the sermon to the preacher when they are going through a hard time. step 3. ask the preacher if its that easy when the shoe is on the other foot. oh f.y.i. although my 1st language is english i am also extremly fluent in sarcasm lol
  19. there is nothing in and of itself that makes christmas a pagan holiday. it is what one does with that day. does one celebrate christmas because of tradition and to be with friends and family? if so there is nothing at all wrong with that. now if one is celebrating christmas because there pagan they arn't celebrating christmas but rather the winter solstice. now as for the old testiment holidays they were for the jews as a remembrance of gods faithfullness and goodness. and the new testiment says that the sabbaths and holidays the jews celebrated were a "shadow" of what was to come, and the fufillment of those came through christ.
  20. well in your post you said that he was not a believer, and scripture tells us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. i would suggest that you 2 can be friends but be careful not to let past emotions impair your judgment. plus the bible says in the new testiment, to "let the peace of god be your guide in the choices you make" take care and be blessed.
  21. all one needs to do is go online and compare the doctrines of lds, jh, or the many other "christian" sects with that of mainline christianty. for example the LDS believe that almighty god was once just a simple flesh and blood creature, but somehow "evolved" into a diety, and that those who are faithful will become a god over there own planet. plus they deny that christ is GOD. also the JW deny that christ is god also, they believe he is merely a created angel and also they believe they are god's prophet to the earth and also preach that jesus has returned to earth and he rules and reigns through the JW organization
  22. to everyone who has prayed or try to encourage me, thanks and god bless all of you.
  23. i know alot of fund. christians believe the universe is only a few thousand years old, but we cant ignore the evidence either (when we just ignore things thats one of the reasons the world thinks we are nutty) remember god lives outside of our space/time domine so time is meaningless to him....from his p.o.v. the creation and final destrution of earth has happend and is also just begining at the same "time" (no pun intended). anyone can see that according to scripture when god started with planet earth it kinda looks like a terraforming project on a planetary scale.
  24. thats pretty much what i came to believe...i mean the heavens had to of been made 1st so there would be a place to put planet earth. also just look at the stars, what we see in the night sky is a replay of what happend millions of years ago. our own sun, the light it makes takes 8 minutes to reach earth.
  25. And just how eternal is a name that CAN be removed from the books...the books that will determine your eternal dwelling place? . since we're on this subject, maybe a better question to ask is, where do we draw the line in the sand? at what specific point does one lose their salvation? P.S. im not saying this in any way to say that one can live any way they like and be right with the lord
