I want to intercede and pray for them...what is the name of the church? not any members or pastor...just the church...

I do believe that God orders our footsteps and He may have ordered yours to this very place for this very reason....sometimes it takes an outsider to see what is really happening....

You mean in person? No but you can take it to God...and you can speak to those spirits operating without having to lay hands....I do a cleansing in my house often because my daughter is into drugs and living on the street and when she comes over and stays a day or two the atmosphere is tense and there is arguing and the peace is gone.

How do you feel about binding and rebuking demonic influences in people? This is pretty obvious that there is division and strife operating here..and the fact that it is so bold as to act out in God's House is evident it has been growing in strength for a while now....Gossipers and backbiters....time for Pleading the Blood of Jesus in that place....command those spirits to leave....and Loose that Holy Spirit to spread His love and fruits through out each member....that's what I would do....and pray and intercede.... Mercy, a friend of mine just pointed out that I am making it sound like laying hands on them and casting the demons out.....no no no....just quietly and privately walk through the church and use your authority over any hindering and divisive spirit in Jesus name....the just loose the spirit of love.

Okay enoob57....you presume to know what is displayed in "our" present assemblies....speak for your assembly not mine.......the fact that you have not experienced the supernatural power and anointing of the Holy Spirit in your life is sad......but as for the rest of us who have we give God all the Glory for answering our prayers and manifesting His presence in our midst. And scripture does say that signs and miracles can come from Satan.... how quick people jump on that train and say this is the only one who has power to perform miracles today. This is what the Pharisees and Sadducees accused Jesus of...that His power came from Beelzebub...Jesus had the perfect answer for them. But isn't it ironic that people can believe in Satan's power and ability to perform signs and wonders in the last days but not God? You are making false assumptions....I have a great deal of foundation in the scriptures.....I just don't share your understanding of it. I accept the Word of God as the Living Word...that God is the same yesterday, today and forevermore....that every scripture is inspired by the Holy Spirit, that Jesus is the only begotten son of God and was crucified to save all who call upon Him from sin and eternal damnation. I believe that no man need teach us anything but that the Holy Spirit will teach us and guide us into all truth.

I do understand what you are trying to say.....but the Bible also says in Mark 16 The Great Commission 14 Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen. 15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” 19 So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.]] Miracles are occurring in various places....all over the world and is being recorded and documented. Well your question didn't make much sense....So my simple question is why would John write them down if the sign gifts were to continue as then? Can you expand on this? I believe the reason John recorded Jesus life on earth was for the same reason as Matthew, Mark, and Luke.....to testify of the validity of the life of Jesus and the miracles He did so that all could read for generations to come. A written documentation of actual events....has nothing to do with ceasing the gifts.....hence my post prior.....Jesus tells us to go and do the works He did.... Clearly what is happening today is not matching up to what is written down!

Thanks for your reply! I haven't been to Grand Lake in years so I didn't know it had deteriorated as such...how sad. Timothy is an excellent book pertaining to instruction on leadership of the church..."It was written to give encouragement and leadership guidelines to a young pastor named Timothy at the church in Ephesus." I don't think it can stand alone however.....Paul wrote several epistles to several churches...Corinthians and Ephesians address spiritual gifts and spiritual warfare. He set the order of the church and how it was to be established and how it should operate.....Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Preachers, and Teachers.....I haven't found any scriptures saying that this is no longer to be followed. So in following the inspired Truth of God's Divine Word then this applies as well....in my beliefs..... But going beyond just theology...I have been visited by an Angel who gave me a pretty stern warning....I have seen demons and had to do spiritual battle with them. I have seen signs and wonders and miracles....I have heard the voice of God speak to me in my living room.... I was baptized at 7 in the Baptist church but my parents moved frequently and I have been to a lot of different churches. (Mom just put us on whatever church bus came by our house)....so I have been to the Methodist, Episcopal, Assembly of God, Church of Christ, Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Full Gospel, Charismatic, and non-denominational.......and as i grew I finally just came to the conclusion that churches have a lot of different teachings and even go to war with words over their doctrinal beliefs but the whole sum of the matter is that all believe in the Gospel teaching of Salvation through Jesus, Most all teach heaven and hell, most All teach the moral compass of how we should live as a Christian based on the 10 commandments.....now the line starts getting drawn when you start applying rapture theories, spiritual gifts, what type of music to listen to, how to dress, whether there are miracles today or not...etc.......so most important to all Christian faiths is Salvation through Christ, the 10 Commandments (and Jesus gave us another which is Love,) and Faith. (without faith it is impossible to please God). I suppose I came to believe because I experienced it.....can't lie and say it didn't happen.....and there are people who won't believe me when I tell them all the things I have seen but I can't do anything about that. The gift of prophesy is one of the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit....if the gift of prophesy no longer operates then neither should we presume the other 8 do....which raises the question why do church leaders single out only that gift as no longer a part of God's plan in how He ministers to His church? I believe that it comes from abuse and misuse of that gift by those who claim to have it but do not. People get hurt and misguided by false prophesy....but again the even the greatest intent of a fellow Christian who desires to speak a prophetic word can mess up and speak out of their carnal mind rather than under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. We have a lack of training up those who are called to operate in the gifts of the Spirit so much of the misuse can be blamed by lack of training.....Even the prophet Elijah trained Elisha in the prophetic calling...."God had bidden Elijah anoint another to be prophet in his stead. "Elisha the son of Shaphat . . . shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room" (1 Kings 19:16), He had said; and in obedience to the command, Elijah went to find Elisha." Elijah mentored Elisha until he was taken. If the churches would train up those called in such areas then we would have a church that flows with the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit and see signs, wonders and miracles!

greetings, I noticed you are from Grove, Oklahoma....not to far from Tulsa. So I was trying to determine the intent of this post whether it was malicious or just poking fun...so I went to some other threads you have posted on and realized this is just how you communicate. It is different...lol....kind of like an Alice in Wonderland impression. I am assuming you don't believe in prophets. Many don't....many do....I don't get into arguing with people about it one way or the other. I don't mind sharing my beliefs and my testimonies concerning it but that is only if it can be done in mutual respect....meaning I won't badger a person whose beliefs differ from mine. So what do you think of this stinking weather Oklahoma is having? Geez....I am ready for some warmer weather! Do you spend much time at Grand Lake? BTW....I saw the dream and the interpretation....this member is very anointed in this gift.....and most "gifts" from the Holy Spirit will always relate biblically....that's what they are supposed to do.... encourage, instruct and teach others what God is trying to show them in their life. I want to encourage you to always pray about a word or interpretation before trusting it....and I also wanted to share that he has interpreted for me as well and is was correct. God Bless

Absolutely. Experienced it first hand in my life years ago in a church I went to visit and the guest speaker was a prophet and he called me out by my name, what town I was from, who my dentist was and how much I recently paid to have a filling replaced...... This church was in OKC....never been there in my life and the Holy Spirit told me to go...(I heard an advertisement on the radio about this person being there)....so there was no way this person knew me....nor did anyone in that church know me....but he gave me a prophetic word and over the years it all came to pass as he had spoken it.....

Learning how to walk in the gift is simply being obedient when the Holy Spirit is prompting you to that He wants to use you in it.....it may make you kind of nervous but when you obey then it will just flow......trust Him....also be sure your heart is right before doing this....people make mistakes thinking they are operating in their gift when it is actually just their flesh....there are a lot of books out there that help people understand how the gifts work....maybe google search it. Hi, I was reading this and wanted to correct your understanding about a seer which is also called a prophet...here are scriptures to that.... 2 Chronicles 9:29 - Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, [are] they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of Nebat? 2 Chronicles 33:19 - His prayer also, and [how God] was intreated of him, and all his sin, and his trespass, and the places wherein he built high places, and set up groves and graven images, before he was humbled: behold, they [are] written among the sayings of the seers. 1 Chronicles 29:29 - Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they [are] written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer, 2 Chronicles 12:15 - Now the acts of Rehoboam, first and last, [are] they not written in the book of Shemaiah the prophet, and of Iddo the seer concerning genealogies? And [there were] wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually. Basically a seer is a prophet who "sees" with visions and dreams. Now the soothsayers and fortune tellers are not of God and the bible warns to stay away from them because they operate under an unknown spirit.
