Hi Everyone, I am so sorry I haven't been around in a long while. I have missed Worthy so much, and you all were not far from my mind and prayers. The reason why I have been gone is... Life has caught up with me. They had supposedly found a Bone Marrow Match for me at the end of September, and I had to go through a ton of testing, only to find out that the donor backed out at the last second. We were literally 2 weeks away from the transplant too. (I am in remission from Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia). Just gotta wait for another person to match. Kind of a long story, but it was definitely a hard time these last couple months. But I am doing alright now, and just taking it one day at a time. Giving it up to God, or trying to anyways. Was trying to take a break from the computer as well.. trying to get my priorities straight. I realized that the computer/internet was distracting me from my time with God. And I just needed a break. Among other reasons as well. But the important thing is.. I AM BACK. and I can't wait to get back into the boards and chat! Hope to see you all around soon.

Say goodbye to cavities: New gel could help your teeth fix themselves
Katydid replied to nebula's topic in General Discussion
Wow! How interesting! Even if it passes though, I doubt it will become readily available. Do you know how much money dentists would lose? I am sure they will fight it every which way! Unfortunately we are people who strive to have more. More money, more possessions. If something gets in our way of having more money, we fight. Feels like money is destroying us all. Sounds like a great gel, but I am wondering about the side effects? -
Welcome! One of my closest friends is Bipolar, and I also suffer from PTSD. You are welcome here, and accepted. You are one of God's children! I look forward to getting to know you! I can't speak for everyone, but I have a feeling you will fit right in

I am definitely not an expert on this passage, but this is what I feel that Paul is saying... I will try to break it down for you as best I can. Paul is basically going in circles here. 5 "But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Paul is basically saying that our unrighteousness (us sinners), just makes God more righteous. The God who inflicts wrath is not unrighteous, is He? (I am speaking in human terms.) Then Paul wonders outloud, how anyone could call God unrighteous for taking vengeance (punishing) those people who breaks his law. Basically Paul is saying that our wretchedness is making God look good! But then Paul starts getting confusing. In my mind, he is saying that if we are glorifying God, then why keep God's law? We get 2 messages: 1. Keep the law 2. Don't keep the law, the law is good for those who can keep it, but no one can keep it, so why bother? All in all, God's judging the world should take away the doubts about how God punishes/disciplines. It basically says that their (Jews at the time) condemnation is just, God deserves all the glory! It's a hard excerpt. You have to kind of look at the whole chapter. Just don't get caught up in it Hope it helped a tiny bit.

Here in Cali, we are so used to earthquakes, its kind of scary. We have so many every day! usually they aren't very big, and most cannot be felt. but it is scary to see how much the rest of the country is being shaken!

I LOVE CS Lewis. He is one of my favorite authors. Mere Christianity was great, and very worthwhile read. Screwtape Letters, that was a crazy book. A good crazy. I got so much from it, and I really wasn't expecting it. Maybe it's due to the fact that I went through it with a group of people and got more understanding? Have you read "Made For Heaven"? That is pretty good as well! About how heaven should be considered our real home. Also about destiny. Highly recommend it, if you haven't read it yet! (this is kind of more like a collection).

Milk Better Than Water to Rehydrate Kids, Study Finds
Katydid replied to nebula's topic in General Discussion
That's really interesting. I have never heard that before. I was literally forced to drink 3-4 glasses of milk every day while I was growing up. Now I am lactose intolerant.. But it actually makes sense if you think about it. Just wish I could drink milk! (and have milk and cookies... yuuum) -
Wow praise God! Such an awesome story! I have a small story, but it doesn't have to do with me mainly.. One of my friends from high school drove drunk. She got into an accident, 3 other cars other then hers were involved. No one was hurt, except for my friend Alyssa. They put her on life support, and was declared completely brain dead 3 days later. We prayed and we prayed hard! We gathered outside of the hospital every night. We had candle light vigils. Our whole town (which is fairly large), mourned and just wanted Alyssa to be better. It got to a point where we knew she wouldnt make it. Her parents were just about to "pull the plug", when her hand moved. The doctors told them it was just a reflex that it didnt mean anything. Then her foot moved. By the next morning Alyssa was awake! It was truly a miracle! She has to be in a wheelchair for the rest of her life but she is OK! Praise God!

Wow what a story! I am so glad that you all are OK though! Stay away from the hippos! And from the fires at that! Thanks for sharing Fez!

Wow! I had read about this on Yahoo. What a wonderful and amazing woman she was. I did not know that the film Charlotte Gray was based on her story! That is so cool! I am thankful for what she did for our country. Our hearts mourn for a great woman!

This thread is extremely interesting. Thanks for posting it! I guess I never really thought about how animals got their names, at least not that deeply.

That made me laugh. I think that a talking frog may be more valuable then a girl nowadays anyways. Unless it turned into a prince, hehe.
