  2. I am concerned that in your search Slippery Slope that you are choosing to seek out what God can do for you. If the truth He speaks doesn't fit into your life style will you just throw Him to the side and disregard him? Of course you can do this, if you choose, it is the gift of free will. 3. Here's a poem that came to me by very strange means today The Man in the Glory The Man Christ Jesus I wake in the morning with thoughts of His Love, Who is living for me in the glory above, Ev'ry minute expecting He'll call me away, And that keeps me bright all the rest of the day. But the moments speed forward and on comes the noon, Yet still I am singing, "He'll come very soon" And thus I am watching from morning till night, And plumming my wings to be ready for flight! There's a Man in the glory I know very well, I have known Him for years and His goodness can tell. One day in His mercy He knocked on my door, And, seeking admission, knocked many times o'er. But when I went to Him and stood face to face And listened a while to His story of grace, How he suffered for sinners, and put away sin, I heartily, thankfully, welcomed Him in. We have lived on together a number of years And that's why I neither have doubtings or fears, For my sins are all hid in the depths of the sea, They were carried down there by the Man on the tree. I am often surprised why the lip should be curled, When I speak of my Lord to the man of the world; And notice with sorrow his look of disdain, When I tell him that Jesus is coming again. He seems so content with his houses and gold, While despising the ark like the people of old; And yet at His coming I'm sure he would flee, Like the man in the garden who ate of the tree. I cannot of think it is foolish of souls. To put all their money "in bags which have holes" To find in the day that is coming apace, How lightly they valued the "riches of grace." As fond as I am of His work in the field, I would let go the plough, I would lay down the shield: The weapons of service I'd put on the shelf, And the sword in its scabbard, to be with Himself. But I'll work on with pleasure, while keeping my eyes On the end of the field where standeth the prize. I would work for His glory, that when we shall meet, I may have a large sheaf to lay down at His feet: That He, too, with pleasure His fruit may review- Is the man in the glory a stranger to you? A stranger to Jesus! What, do you not know? He is washing poor sinners much whiter than snow! Have you lived in a land where the Bible's unknown, That you don't know the Man who is now on the throne? Ah, did you but know half His beauty and power, You would not be a stranger another half hour. I have known Him so long that I'm able to say, The very worst sinner He'll not turn away. The question of sin I adoringly see, The Man in the glory has settled for me! And as to my footsteps whatever the scene, The Man in the glory is keeping me clean; And therefore I'm singing from morning till night, The Man in the glory is all my delight. By George Cutting

  6. Okay now before I say anything, ya all are not allowed to pick on me.......lol......cause we're brethern in Christ Jesus. But at this stage I do not believe in the pre-trib rapture or the mid-trib rapture, I believe we are going to go through the tribulation, however, do a bear in mind prophetic events is NOT my main study. I see what Katy Ann is saying regarding Noah and Lot, but, although Noah and Lot were taken aside from the danger that came, they were not taken off the earth per say. What I mean is, okay Noah didn't drown in the flood, but he did go through it. I see it more as a setting aside in safety rather than a taking away. Just my thoughts. *RUNS BEFORE DAD ERNIE CATCHES HER IN HERE* Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne

    Cencore everything...

Ronin, I cannot comment on your post being deleted, as I know nothing about that. What I would like to say is, there are not many ways to Heaven, just the one, and that is through Jesus Christ Our Lord. To believe in God, you do well, however if you have not accepted Christ Jesus as your saviour, for he is our intercessor, then you are lost my friend. I am sorry. Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Anne
  8. Thanks Danny Boy I think I'll get that one. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  9. Sorry to interrupt guys, At the risk of sounding stupid here, i'm assuming that OSAS means, Once Saved Always Saved? Am I correct? Feeling rather silly Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  10. I agree Ted, I'm a firm believer that if we do wrong to our Brothers and Sisters, that we should take all steps to correct that difference. There's nothing wrong with having a different viewpoint on a matter, however, to belittle, become hurtful and cruel to our Christian brethern, that is against God's will. It is clear that God wishes us to reconcile these differences. Great thoughts Ted. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne

  12. A Study of the Epistle of James Speak kindly of one another Chapter 4 Verse 11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. Verse 12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? It is clearly directed here that we should not speak in a manner or use words as such we know would hurt or injure the feelings of another, we must only use words which are governed by the law of kindness, truth and justice, when we feel led to discuss a matter with our brethren; I know, because I am guilty of this, that sometimes our temper over comes us and we use harsh words against our brothers and sister in order to better ourselves against them, and pay little heed to the tears and heartache which we may have caused and the anger that we alone are responsible for placing in their hearts. Can I take this opportunity to apologise to anyone whom I have offended on this board due to my rash approach and unchecked words, it
  13. I'd rather be around people who have love for Christ Jesus, however i'd quite like the Atheist to be there too! Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  14. Thank you for your replies and insights everyone, oh "Happy Chanukah!" Super Jew, i think i've spelt it right. TC, I think you may have missed the point, read it again, without the sceptical approach. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  15. Greetings Sandok, I live in a world full of facts too, get this, it is a fact that God exists, I see it everyday when I open my Bible, when I take the dogs for a walk in the fields, I know God exists because I prayed to Him this morning and he answered my prayers. As for who created God, no one did, he has always been and will be evermore. God is all powerful, and he can and does change lives, if you knew some of us you would not doubt the force behind our passion for Christ Jesus. Refuge is right, man created different religions, not God, but some find it easy to blame him anyway. God is for the weak you say! Then let me stand up and say God is for me and I am for God, you can call me weak if you wish, I will take no offense, for I know the great things he has done for me. Your questions have been answered, but I suspect, not to your satisfaction. I hope you stay around Sandok and learn more, whether we agree or not, it is good to talk about God. 16. I personally remember times like this because of the men and women who layed down their lives for us in bygone times and recently in Iraq. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  17. Greetings Yod and Repent, in Christ Jesus name I totally agree, if as Christians we do works according to what is written in the Scriptures and do all according to the will of God, then we do right and are pleasing in God's eyes. But often people become intangled in their own works and that of religion and God's will is nowhere to be seen, I have to say this makes me very sad. They do not see the difference between their own will/works and that of God. I remember a long time ago an old lady saying words to the effect of, "I've been a good person all my life and worked hard in my church, God will not send me to hell." The problem here was, to my knowledge, this lady had never received Christ Jesus as her saviour. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  18. Well,............ yes and no Yod. It depends on what you mean by works, got a feeling Super Jew's gonna pop up here (love you brother, lol). Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  19. So how did the swinging around the sitting room go? If we don't hear from you we'll assume you've been hospitalized! LOL Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  20. Hi Jacqueline, Firstly I DON'T interpret dreams, I just wanted to make that clear before I started. But I used to be in a situation a while back where I would have dreams that would come true,.............long story, don't ask, lol. Anyway, I wasn't a Christian at the time, which is i suppose a different circumstance. These dreams used to cause me such stress, mainly because i could do nothing to stop them. Anyway, I can't remember whether I read this in the Bible, or whether it's just something i have imagined I read, but it is this "Harken not onto the dreams which ye be caused to dream, for I have not sent them, thus saith the Lord." Possibly someone who has read more of the Bible can tell me if that is a verse in it, anyways........the dreams stopped after that. Now don't get me wrong, I do believe that God speaks to some people through such methods, or to be more truthful, I have as yet not read anything in the Bible to suggest He doesn't. But back to your dream, you said you walk openly and strongly with God, that much to me is evident! So consider this, has this dream planted an element of doubt in your mind? Because I think it was meant to create confusion and doubt, so I say push it away from your mind and continue to walk with God, for I don't think any good can come from dwelling on it. But that is just my opinion. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  21. Pink read the tenth post up, about Rahab, in particular the last couple of paragraphs. Thinking and praying for you Pink. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne PS. sorry guys for bringing this thread back, I felt convicted to do so.
  22. Thanks Super Jew, awesome words of encouragment. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  23. Pink, I pray that you will find your way back here. I got saved just four weeks ago, in my bedroom, just me and God, and the realisation that I was guilty through and through. I was so ashamed of what I done in my life, i'm 30 now, now I wouldn't have considered myself the worst in the world, but I realised that I was living an incomplete life and no matter how much I laughed and smiled outwardly, deep in my heart I had always known that I was missing a part of my soul. So there I was, alone and uncertain what to do next, I couldn't go to sleep until the matter was settled, I had to lay my burden at Jesus' feet. So here's what I did, I prayed a simple little prayer similar to this, "Jesus Christ, I realise that I am a sinner, I know that what I have done in my life is wrong. Lord Jesus I do not want to die without knowing you. I ask forgiveness for my sins Lord Jesus, and open the door to my heart and invite you in, I thank you that you died on the Cross for me and shed your precious blood. Thank you for saving a sinner just like me. In Jesus name, Amen" God speaks to us first to convict us of our sins, the fact that you have heard him is awesome Pink, he is inviting you to join us all, and God does not refuse those whom he invites, take his hand Pink, He's waiting. Hoping soon to be your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  24. I hadn't heard that before, thought it was really good. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  25. God Bless you Shammah, I'm enjoying this thread, as the subject is something I studied when I was not a Christian. Some will not agree with your conclusions, however if everyone agreed with everyone, there wouldn't be much of a learning curve. Keep posting, you'll find there's lots more on this subject.
