I'm going to have to leave here for some time. Certain discussions I've been involved in disrupt my walk with God. I definitely have my faults, too, and I openly admit that. I'm honestly not sure how much of it is my fault, and how much belongs to this other individual. Regardless, he will never admit any fault, so I believe it is best for me to back off and cool down. Basically, it's destructive for me to be here because I get caught up in political debates when I should be focussing on God. So I'm going to take time away, spend much more time reading the Bible and praying. I'll still be reading the prayer requests but that's it. Take care & God bless, everyone.

Nathan, I can relate to you. I will not comment on your age, because I know from experience that teenagers can fall in love. Whether yours is a case of love or infatuation...I can't determine that. I am still in love with a former friend of mine. She loved me in return, too, but we both realized for several reasons we couldn't be married. I haven't talked with her in nearly three months. God has begun to heal the pain, but I often think of her, and I pray for her every day. There is nothing wrong with that. If these feelings are not from God, then surrender them. I will pray for God to take the feelings away if they're not from Him, which, I believe that is the case.

Roe v Wade doesn't have to be overturned, because it is illegitimate to begin with. The Courts were never intended to serve as a final arbiter in Constitutional cases. Congress must legally affirm the personhood of the unborn; this will guarantee equal protection under the 14th Amendment, rendering abortion illegal throughout the States. The Supreme Court could do nothing to stop this because they have no police power.

I'm not sure I believe the article. Is there any accurate way to determine what goes on in that country? I think not.

IMHO, we should repeal all price/wage controls and allow them to be determined by the free market. There was a time not so long ago that the UK had no minimum wage, I believe under Margaret Thatcher. Unemployment went down and wages went up, as I recall.

I've watched the video. Here are my observations. 1) At the beginning of the video, you'll see a row of homosexuals wearing pink shirts - they are blocking the streets, which violates State law. 2) In the middle of the video, you'll see the homosexuals walking along with the Christian protestors. The homosexuals are mocking the Christians and infringing upon their right to protest. This violates State law. 3) Also in the video, you'll see the homosexuals covering up the Christians' signs with pink styrofoam barriers. This is an infringement upon the Christians' rights, it is intimidation, and it is against the law. In contrast... - The Christians did not intimidate the homosexuals. - The Christians did not "conspire" against the homosexuals. - The Christians only failed to disperse because 1) protest is a protected right; and 2) The police officers gave no reason why they should leave. Now let me ask you, if ANYONE deserved to be arrested, WHO is it? I suggest that if anyone deserved arrest, it was the radical sodomite wackos who infringed upon the Christians' 14th Amendment rights, and violated State law by intimidating the Christians and blocking the public walkways. As the Christians were arrested, you can hear the pathetic, shrill screams of the homosexuals in the background, cheering that the rights of others are being violated. What the Philadelphia police did is a direct violation of the 14th Amendment 'equal protection' clause and the 'privileges and immunities' clause. Furthermore, what the homosexuals did is absolutely descipable. Any true liberal will agree with me. Mark my words, this is only the beginning of the gay agenda. More is coming. Then I suggest you cease in your judging of others for their personal beliefs. You're going to have to learn that you're not going to be correct 100% of the time. We're all flawed; I could very well be wrong on this matter, but I must follow my convictions. No. This is not a "rational" issue, nor do I subcribe to rationale. Such is not the case when discussing an entire nation. It is not our business to interfere in the affairs of other nations; it is simply not for us to decide. God has placed all leaders into power for a reason. Saddam Hussein had no authority except which was given to him by God. "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above." John 19.11 While our nation was formed to serve as a beacon of liberty, it was not formed to search the world for monsters to destroy. It is not the sovereign right of any nation to do that. In the words of John Quincy Adams, "[America] goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own." You're looking at this from a globalist and humanist perspective. While that is admirable, you must accept that we're living in an unperfect world ruled by evil. Peace will never be possible in this world. If you believe otherwise, then you're in a fantasy world apart from the reality that man is flawed.

Are you in the military? While we can agree in principle, I just don't believe that individuals who joined the military to defend our nation should be required to intervene in foreign affairs. We're in hot water as it is with Iraq. The kind of intervention you're talking about would require a draft, and women would probably be drafted, too. That is not a sacrifice our nation should make. Furthermore, that is a sacrifice our government has no right to make. WW2 was a different story, because I see it as cleaning up a mess our nation previously made. Had we not entered WW I, Hitler probably wouldn't have come to power in the first place. Germany would have been no threat at all.

I disagree with the concept of a world political body in any form. I also oppose any war not related to American security. Thus, wars for humanitarian reasons should be out of the question. Those who disagree with me are free to join the army and go off to war. Talk the talk, walk the walk.

I heard about the Kitty Genovese case in PoliSci/Law 200. Very disturbing. As for the UN, I agree they are a worthless organization, and it is both immoral and unconstitutional for Americans to be forced to fund it. However, it appears that most politicians, whether Republicrat or Demopublican, have given in to it.

My parents stopped going to church a couple years ago. There was a scandal with the pastor at their church, and apparently it turned them off church altogether. My mom is a woman of strong conscience, but I've seen a lot of worldliness in her behavior ever since she quit church; and since my dad has always sort of leaned on her, spiritually speaking, he is not capable of leading her in those regards. I've asked them if they're consider going to another church or to a Bible study, but they do not appear interested. They will not go to my church, either, because of personal differences with my pastor. I cannot really *tell* them to do anything, but I have made gentle efforts, all of which have failed. Any advice on how to get them back to church with other believers? If I approach them on exactly how I feel, they will probably be offended. What should I do?

In the 3rd count of the votes, looks like the Christine Gregoire is going to steal the election. The Demofascists *found* 500+ ballots in King County, where Gregoire got most of her votes.
