  1. I just came here to tell my Snapple story and got caught up in all this other stuff.
  2. Are you judging me to just being a label Christian because I am okay with men a women having dinner together? I want to be clear before I say anything more.
  3. So what are you saying? That if a man and a women have lunch alone they can not control themselves? I mean if your going to cheat on your wife or husband just because you can't control yourself if your alone with someone other then your spouse then you already have some serious issues that need to be address.
  4. My guess on the matter is if you feel bad about going to dinner with someone other then your wife/husband, then don't do it. And if you see someone out to dinner with someone other then their wife/husband, don't rush to pass judgment on them for doing so. This is really a matter between a husband and wife. Some wives have no issue with their husband having a lunch break with a female co-worker. Sometimes it is just best to mind your own Ps and Qs so they say.
  5. Maybe we need to save that for another topic. As this one I do not think can not take on another topic. We already have car rides and going out for dinner being debated. And here I thought I was only going to be talking about the appearance of evil when I join up for this.
  6. I wasn't arguing with anyone I was telling a story.
  7. Well like I said I think differently then other people. I mean I buy Snapple at the liquor store and it never once occurred to me that someone might see me coming out of there and think I am buying beer.
  8. Well I think the whole thing is personal. And the shame is on us if we so Mr. Jones having dinner with Miss. Smith and we jump to judgement about it. The same goes if we see Mr. Jones give Miss. Smith a ride home from work.
  9. Well silly me then. I read the first post and thought that was the topic.
  10. It looks like I did too. I also posted my ridding in cars speech in the wrong thread as this one seems to be about eating in restaurants with someone your not married too.
  11. I need the face palm emoji cause that is how I feel reading this.
  12. What do you mean it is not what you all are talking about? I seen it posted here about ridding in cars with someone. There for that is why I commented on the ridding in cars issue. I've not gotten to the restaurant issue yet. I'm not sure I want too as that seems kind of a personal thing that one needs to work out for themselves; and I am still busy talking about the car issue. You have to give me time to get caught up here when I come in late like this.
  13. Then this isn't so much about sin but more about protecting yourself from being accused of something you didn't do. That I think was the reason Billy Graham had this rule. So many people too willing to lie to destroy the lives of others. That is how the devil works.
  14. Yeah that is why Jesus never ate with sinners or talked to the women at the well who was alone. He was worried about his reputation.
  15. I think the rule of love over rules all of this. I mean are you really going to leave some poor women alone with no way to get home just because you are afraid someone might think you are sinning by giving her a ride? Just thank about it. Is this really what Jesus called us to do?
  16. It was a long walk from the church that day my Jeep broke down. So yeah, I got a ride home with a Christian brother from my church. I don't feel any shame at all. I wonder what Jesus would do? Leave me to walk the 5 miles back to town. Of would he have given me a ride? Interesting thought.
  17. I have road in a car with the opposite gender many times. If someone takes issue with it I think it is their issue and not mine. Maybe this is what is meant when it says how you judge others you will be judge.(Matthew 7:2 ) Cause if they are passing judgement on me accusing me of sin for doing nothing more then ridding in a car with someone, then they are guilty of the sin of judgment. Just a thought. I like to think.
  18. That happens to me a lot I totally understand.
  19. I'm coming in late here so I am not sure where you all are in this topic. But I will start at the beginning. There are Christians who's calling in life seems to be to find and point out the faults and short comings of other Christians. Maybe they are still growing in Christ, maybe they are holding to their old ways. Who knows? But if as a Christian you are rushing to harsh judgments about fellow Christians as listen above, you need to do some serious Bible reading and searching of your own heart. Jesus ate with the sinners. Funny Story From My Pass For Your Enjoyment: One Wed. night I was at our church's Wed. night Bible study. Our study leader who was a middle age women was freaking out because she made the mistake of pulling into the local liquor store to turn around. ( small town there is only 1 liquor store in town) She was all worried that people would see her pulling out of the liquor store parking lot and what they would think about her. This is when I realized that I see things very differently then other people and I had no ideal that people cared about such things. Because if I had seen her pulling out of the liquor store parking lot, I would have just waved at her and not think anymore of it. Because I actually shop at the local liquor store. It was right next to the laundry mat and they sold Snapple Fruit Drinks. So whenever I was doing laundry I would go over to the liquor store, go inside, and buy a bottle of Snapple Fruit Drink and be on my way. Never having it enter my mind that someone would think something bad about me if they see me coming out of a liquor store. LOL
  20. Taking a short look there is stuff posted through many post and topic. I am unsure if it would be the right thing to do to bring a poster outside of this topic and post what they said on here from another topic. I do recall a poster making the claim that Trump will be the saver of Christianity. But as of right now I have not been able to find that post. It may have been deleted. I'll keep looking. But some of my thoughts on this topic came from stuff I heard out in the real world from people. My old Sunday School teacher being on of them. That I guess you will have to just take my word for.
  21. You are free to give your opinion about the article and you did so. Now I am free to give my opinion about the article and I did so. I do not like being accused of making stuff up! It is an opinion after all. Mine being that I think the writer of the article has a point. Yours being a different opinion then mine.
  22. I guess I just don't get what you are trying to say and maybe that is my short coming. Maybe if I understood who are "those people" are and what you mean by talking "ill" of somebody.
  23. Well that would take some time. If I can work it in I will try to do so.
