  1. Hi SwordMaster, What Sower has written is very good and I know will help you. My thought is that you and your son need to find out the areas that he has willingly, by an act of his will allowed demonic influences into his life. It is only by an act of his will - repenting, that those demons will not have access to him. God does NOT go against our will.
  2. You might like to read these scriptures, Wayne. `I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, as a light to the Gentiles.` (Isa. 42: 6) "This is the new covenant in My blood." (1 Cor. 11: 25)
  3. Hi backontrack, May I encourage you to know that Christ has by His Holy Spirit placed us all, (who believe) in His Body. `But now has God set the members every one of them in the Body, as it has pleased Him.` (1 Cor. 12: 18) So, we are all in unity, (Eph. 4: 3) which we are to keep otherwise we, individually will not be in the Body. That means our attitude is of grace towards each other. Now, the differences we have while on this earth regarding various topics, will either remain as truth with us or get done away with when we go to glory. We, as humans do not do the uniting, (as if we ever could) but the Holy Spirit does that when we are incorporated into the Body of Christ.
  4. Hi Ad Hoc, I have posted your comments above about the Body and Bride. I replied that that was transgender. Transgender - A transgender person is someone whose gender identity is different from the sex they were assigned at birth. The Body of Christ was called the `New Man,` (see op. Col. 10 - 11) Then you have introduced this wrong teaching (I believe) that says the Body is a female, a bride. But that was NOT what God called it.
  5. Actually, Wayne Jesus IS the covenant, (Isa, 42: 6) I will write more to Ad hoc if you want to read that.
  6. That`s right RdJ, however, it is about God`s relationship with the NATION of Israel. God is their husband,`meaning in Hebrew - Master.
  7. Glad you brought that up Michael, about relationships. God`s relationship with Israel is as you said a husband and wife, (Isa. 54: 5) The word `husband `is master. Thus, the nation of Israel knew that God was their master, and He would look after them. As to the believers in the Body of Christ we know that the Lord is the Head of the Body, which is a closer relationship than master.
  8. Yes, but not one that we can build a doctrine on.
  9. So, are you saying that you think the `bride`is spiritual therefore it is ok? But God`s right and wrong does not change in the spirit. A `bride`is female,`and you are certainly not that whether in the natural or spiritual.
  10. But with no backup scriptures. I ask men, do you say to an unbelieving male, `Come to Jesus and be His bride? ` I think not. It really amazes me how so many men (especially) do believe that they as men are a bride. Not having been taught this teaching I am amazed. Having been to Bible College I know that doctrine has to be clear and clearly developed just as Paul wrote of the Body being the New Man in the first 4 chapters of Ephesians. Also, a doctrine is not based on a type, symbol, imagery, etc but clear straight forward development of teaching.
  11. Thanks, Dennis, yes I did have a cuppa. Good read there, bro, as usual. Now, as for when Jesus ascended (Acts 1: 9 - 12) on the Mount of Olives we know from God`s word that He will return to the Mount of Olives at the end of the trib. (Zech. 14: 4) Thus, that is NOT the picture of when the Lord returns for the Body in the clouds. (1 Thess. 4: 16 & 17) As to `appointed to die,` God can and does make exceptions for He is God and has His purposes. He is Lord of ALL. (not the other way around).
  12. My point was that Jesus is the kinsman redeemer to Israel but you jumped over that.
  13. Hi Michael, The word `her` has been inserted. It should be `IT. ` (KJ) Looking back over the previous 4 Chapters of Ephesians we read of `the new man, ` (Eph. 4: 24) `perfect man,` (Eph. 4: 13) `one new man, `(Eph. 2: 15). There is no mention of a female there. Paul was just exhorting husbands to love their wives as Christ does the Church - which is His Body the new man.
  14. 2 Cor. 11: 2 refers to Paul speaking specifically to his disciples. He says `that I may present you...` (v. 2) But you see it is NOT Paul that will present us to Christ, it is Christ Himself who will present us to Himself. `Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to PRESENT you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.` (Jude 24)
  15. It is NOT about Ruth but Christ the kinsman redeemer and that is for Israel. Christ and His church which is His Body, (male) (Eph. 1: 22 & 23) `And He put all things under Hos feet, and gave Him to be Head over all things to the church, which is His BODY, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.` (Eph. 1: 22 & 23) Christ is NOT Head over a female Body!!!!
  16. Hi Wayne, Actually, that is not in scripture, just an error repeated too many times. Remember what Paul wrote - the New Man, (Eph. 2: 15) to a perfect man, (Eph. 4: 13) .
  17. But that is exactly what you are saying we the Body are male and also female. God`s word is very clear the Body is Male as Christ is. Israel is `the bride, the wife of Jesus` for it is the last requirement of Christ the kinsman redeemer for Israel, as the book of Ruth illustrates. That is well known and shown in the Old Testament. Truth is based on clear scripture NOT Types, exhortations or Paul speaking to his disciples. Nothing vague or beyond us to know.
  18. Hi Ad Hoc, Good thoughts there except for that one in bold. The Body of Christ is NOT transgender - male and female.
  19. I`m asking this question because I want to be the best Christian I can be by following in Jesus` footsteps. Hi faithful, as you desire that I will say that only by humbling yourself under the Lord will you become like Him. It is not a matter of `following in jesus` footsteps,` but letting the Holy Spirit make us like Him in our hearts. And that is seeking to address the attitudes and behaviors that the Holy Spirit highlights that are wrong. Then repent and go on till you finish your journey in the Lord. That is called `dying to self,` daily.
  20. Political Leader. Just before the feast of Passover Jesus went to His friend`s place in Bethany. It was the home of Mary, Martha and Lazarus. Jesus had previously resurrected Lazarus and His fame had gone out into the land. `Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was who had been dead, whom He had raised from the dead. There they made Him a supper; and Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those who sat at the table with Him…… Now a great many of the Jews knew that He was there; but they came not for Jesus` sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom He raised from the dead…..(John 12: 1 & 2, 9) Thus, there was developing a great expectation of Jesus coming to the feast. He was the one who had overcome death. And death was man`s great fear. So, with great excitement the people gave Jesus a grand entrance into Jerusalem declaring Him to be their King. Who could go against Him who had the power over death, they would have thought. `The next day a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out: “Hosanna! `Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!` The King of Israel.”(John 12: 12 & 13) But Jesus did not receive that offer of kingship by the populous, for Jesus knew that only by His sacrifice on the cross would death be finally overcome. The Anti-Christ receives the offer of world leader. There will be a man, however, who by deceit, tricks the world into thinking he can overcome death. The world worships him saying, `Who can make war with him?` `I saw one of his heads (leaders) as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marvelled and followed the beast. So, they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Rev.13:3 & 4)
  21. Economic Leader. After the disciples had gone out preaching and healing, Jesus took them to a deserted place near Bethsaida. However, the people found out where He was, and the multitudes followed Him. Jesus preached and healed all those needing healing. Then as the day drew to a close the disciples told Jesus to send the people away to get food. However, Jesus told the disciples to feed the people themselves. Andrew said - `There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many? (John 6: 9) Jesus was teaching His disciples of His and their reliance on the Father for daily needs. `Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks he distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise as much fish, as they wanted….` (John 6: 11) Now, not only are the people fed but some men realized that here was someone who could perform miracles of producing great amounts of food from a small amount. They therefore decided that they would grab Jesus, whom they recognized as the Prophet who was to come into the world. They wanted to make Jesus their king. Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.” `Therefore, when Jesus perceived they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, he departed again to a mountain by Himself alone.` (John 6: 11, 14 & 15) But, Jesus declined the offer by going into a quiet place by Himself. The False Prophet receives the offer of Economic leader. There will, however, be a man who works alongside the World Leader who is given the office of overseeing the economy of the world. He is called the `False Prophet.` `He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads. And that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.` (Rev. 13: 16 & 17)
  22. Thanks Dennis, for all the interesting information. It seems we are both tracking similar things.
  23. Great Adrien, Yes, that is the `religious offer` of Satan who we know is deceived that he could ever overcome the Lord. I would say that Satan saw Jesus as a man and thus thought he could overcome Him as well as other men. `Reverence by the masses. ` Yes, if Jesus bowed to Satan and also ruled the world system, then the people would also worship Satan. Thus, Jesus would be like Satan`s high priest. Then we know that one day a man will take that position and get the masses to worship the anti-Christ and Satan. He is called the `false Prophet.` (Rev. 13" 11 & 12) Well done, and thank you for doing the challenge. Do you want to attempt the other two - Economic and Political? Both in John. Praise the Lord that He overcame that offer.
  24. Hi Starise, I see the two going together - God working on the inside (attitudes, behaviors, motives) while we are helping others. When we are with people then that is when such arise in our hearts and the Holy Spirit can highlight it to us - then or later.
