  1. Hi farouk, Yes, and that is because Jesus has overcome the world system (& the devil & sin). So, can you tell us where in God`s word Jesus was offered those 3 positions?
  2. Hi Adrien, So true. Now can you tell us where in God`s word Jesus was offered those 3 positions?
  3. Yes, a spiritual organism with each one set where God has us in the body. `But now God has set the members, each one of them in the body just as He pleased.` (1 Cor. 12: 18)
  4. This is emotive dribble. It does not mention that Jesus is the way to the Father through His sacrifice. It is all about the spirit, what spirit? the one sent from Jesus. Looks like Jesus got bypassed. It seems to be about `God is everything.`
  5. Hi OneLight, Just found this video that you posted. It was very well done, well written and a good challenge to people.
  6. Another challenge for those who like to dig deeper in God`s word and who appreciate what the Lord had to overcome. So, what 3 offers did the Lord have from Satan and people, for positions in the World System? - Religious, Economic and Political. Remember to read the context for the motive of those who offered. One is in Matthew and Luke while two are in John. Looking forward to your thoughts.
  7. I think the poll says it all - people want to have fellowship. I don`t think man`s organized system of public meetings is geared for that although people seem to have an expectation it will give them fellowship. In a small group, relationships develop but it is much harder in larger congregations. It really is only by the Holy Spirit that relationships grow, and not organized by man. Thus said, that is why I see some people come for fellowship and not the `harder` mental & spiritual exercise of thinking about God`s word.
  8. Thanks so much, that is great to read of some of your exciting life. When you said `citizen,` in your first post, I thought that maybe you had come from another place. But it seems you are well travelled and appreciate that you are near the `top of the mountain` of life.` I too appreciate being somewhat older now and living in the country with my farmer hubby.
  9. True, but the `Dominionists` have taken hold in most parts of Christianity, (man`s organizations).
  10. I do see `Spock` dropping in sometimes in discussions. I do also see as you said some silly threads, but then we do have a longer timeframe for comparison. Then it is up to us to post good threads that make people think and discuss God`s word, don`t you think?
  11. Hi Ad Hoc, here we go again..... That is NOT what I read concerning the destiny and purpose of the Body of Christ. We have a heavenly calling, inheritance and hope. It is not just up there to come down, but we are to be with the Lord in glory forever as He has been given the rulership - `far above all....not only in this age and also in that which is to come.` (Eph. 1:21)
  12. I do notice that the song says `emblem of suffering and shame....` so, that partly helps but would have been better to say the Lord`s name.
  13. Thanks Neighbor, That is very interesting. I would say you have much more land that is habitable than our deserts. Now, where were you born if not America, if you don`t mind me saying?
  14. Hi Ad Hoc, I have often thought the same about the cross, when it is Christ on the cross who died for us.
  15. Hi VA, Yes a `corporate MAN,` `Christ is Head of HIS body,` `the New Man.`
  16. Hi OneLight, Interesting view. Now, you have been on Worthy longer than me But still I have been round a while. I remember you helped me when I was having a debate (in the debate section) with Shiloh. I had forgotten the format and you reminded me. Thanks again. I also remember that there were a few strong `players` who knew how to `attack` a person without getting into trouble. I was `attacked by some and even a moderator behind the scenes but dear George stepped and I`m still here but the other, well gone. Now, I do see people getting help, as I move around and reply there. I do see encouraging music and song, I see people having good fun and fellowship. The reading of which makes me have a good laugh. And yet I also do wonder at the topics that get started, but think well, more people are getting bolder to start them. And I see Vine Abider and Starise and others start threads that lift us up to know the Lord more. I think your inner group have either passed away or moved on. The groups of relating ones keep changing but we continue as the Lord leads. regards, Marilyn.
  17. Hi faithful, YOU are the problem, (same for all of us) we want to DO things to show God........ You say God wanted you to do......then you say God was telling you that you didn`t have to do them....... You are NOT hearing God. You are hearing your own insecurities. I strongly suggest you don`t DO anything but concentrate on the Lord and His character from God`s word . Focus on HIM and NOT YOURSELF.
  18. Hi Neighbor, I live there in OZ. Plenty of room. We are only about 24 million in this huge country.
  19. Morning Starise, I`m sorry if you got that impression but that is not what I said or meant. Jesus exhorted them - "Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also." (Matt. 23: 26) I think we are trying to get the outside all sparkling new, whereas the Lord says it is the inside that needs the attention first.
  20. Hi Gabriel, yes, it is mounting. I do feel for you over in the USA whereas here in Oz we are not so bad....yet, .......maybe in the cities.
  21. We need to remember what the Lord said to the scribes and Pharisees - "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men`s bones and all uncleanness." (Matt. 23: 27) Jesus exhorted them - "Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also." (Matt. 23: 26) I think we are trying to get the outside all sparkling new, whereas the Lord says it is the inside that needs the attention first. I also, don`t believe that the unbeliever is particularly looking for a perfect person on the outside (as a believer) but someone who is sincere and honest, who would even admit to failings. It is those in the World System that want to look perfect, beautiful, mighty, and powerful. Did Jesus go round proudly exhibiting those qualities? I think He was more, meek, caring, walking the dusty roads with people and being there in their troubles.
  22. Thank you plavious, That was one of the very first hymns I learnt when I played the piano. The old hymns always wrote the great truths of God and His purpose through Christ. I do like some of the more recent hymns and songs, but some have too much about `me.`
  23. I like Worthy because - it has been started and continues by George who has the Father heart of God, (my hubby said that). I like Worthy because - I can speak the Truth in love. And over the years I see a glimpse of what God is doing in different believer`s lives. Makes me appreciate the Lord and His wonderful work more.
  24. I`ve been thinking some more on this. Now, what I have noted is that unbelievers mostly talk about themselves and put down others. I believe as we, the believers are interested in others, and also encourage them in something they are or do, then they are left with the impression that that person genuinely cares about me. The world is damaged, and it is easy to talk about the wrongs, but it is much harder to encourage someone towards the right way. Yet, this is what we are told to do - encourage and exhort each other.... and that is among believers. (Heb. 10: 25) Yet we do see Jesus encouraging others in the right way who had done wrong, so there is an example for us too.
