how come he is the only one that when greeting the King in Saudi, he was the only one that bowed/???? why did he not bow to the Queen of England? if what you are saying is correct, it would have been more proper to have bowed to the Queen the to the Saudi King...... when I meet some one, I use my hand to greet them, and if I am meeting a woman, I wait until she offers her hand first..... when a leader of one country bows to the leader of another, it is like two dogs meeting and the ALPHA DOG does not cower to the subordanant dog, the subordanant dog cowers down, bows down to the Alpha.... watch two dogs, it does not take long before you can see the alpha dog..... and later, the subordanant dog will cower down (bow) when the alpha comes in the area, the alpha eats first, drinks first so forth and so on.... yes, bowing in greeting in Asia is a normal greeting.... but a slight nod would have sufficed..... I meet Chineese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, and even other asian people.... and when we meet, I greet them with a very slight bow, not a DEEP BOW, and say hello, if possible, in their language.... a friend of mine asked a question about a subject the other day. several people gave her an afirmative answer, I gave her a negative answer. she then said maybe I ought to rethink our friendship if I felt taht way...... my reply to her was, that she asked a question, I gave an answer that was the truth. then I asked her would she rather I had lied to her? and if she wished to end the friendship that was her choice, not mine, the ball was in her court..... she replied back that she would have rather had the truth. and she did not end the friend ship being truthful and hearing the truth can be a bit painful at times, but the pain is only temporary..... in a lie, the pain last through out eternity..... if I am doing something wrong... .I want some one to be truthful to me and tell me that I am going the wrong way.... THAT IS LOVE.... do you love me enough to tell me that I am doing wrong? or do you hate me so that you will just let me drown in my sin? remember, those that hate their brother who they can see, can not love God whom they can not see...... do not lie to the person that wants you to come with them, let them know that it would not be wise for you to go and what the reason is. be honest about it.... tell them lovingly thou, do not be spiteful or boastful or arogant about it.... be humble before the Lord and let them know..... best to you... mike

I think that would be a good thing.... but do not shut out anything that comes along... here is a true event in my life.... a number of years ago, a man in our congregation requested prayer almost every service that God would bring him a job.... this was going on for several months...... then one day, a friend of mine asked me if I knew anyone that was in need of work... I said I may have some one, so I got the details, and then went to this man that was requesting the prayer for a job, and told him about this, that it has not been posted in the news paper yet, so he would have first shot at it.... no experience, and no relocating, no tools required (at that time) will train, so forth and so on, and about 150% of minimum wage...... the man looked at me and told me ..."GOD DOES NOT WANT ME TO HAVE A JOB LIKE THAT" the following service, he was asking for God to send a job his way....... mike

Hi Mike, 1. I am a web designer, but also have a little experiance with computer programing (nothing to make a career out of it though). My strong area is web design. 2. Even though I'm good at web design... I really dont know. Web design doesn't interest me anymore like it used to many years ago.. I dont know what I know best. It seems my mind is focusing so much on the Bible these days but it just could be zealousness. 3. I like to help people make good descisions in their lives. I've noticed a pattern where I always am exhorting. Recenly I came to the conclusion that I have been gifted by the Holy Spirit for Exhortation. Some say that I would make a good Sales man.. I think maybe I can but I'm having a hard time find work! I hope this gives you some idea of myself... I don't know myself really. ok, here are some possibilities..... and some may not cost a dime or maybe very little...... The College of the Ozarks, is a public college and well, guess what, the last time I checked there IS NO TUITION..... room and board is like eitehr 50 bucks a semester or year ( I can not recall) there is a catch..... you have to work on campus for like 15 hours a week ( something like that ) and some of the students go get part time jobs at Silver Dollar City, or one of the other theatres in town..... a draw back is there is no married housing on campus like a lot of colleges now have.... http://www.facebook.com/galenaassembly I will be thinking and try to come up with some other avenues for you...... blessings another possibility some Church organizations/denominations have Bible Schools, that even have married dorms, some do not cost anything again, but again you would be required to work some during the week... others may have reduced tuition and others well, you know what tuition can run for a university or Christian type college.... Some Church fellowships (denominations) do not even require a college degree to become licensed through them, others do require it..... The Assemblies of God have what is called THE MASTERS COMMISSION... the student lives in a hosts home while attending classes, I do not know much about it, other then that is one way to get an education, not sure the cost if there is any.... I can find out and also find out the requirements of it.... or you might be able to go on line and find out.... The Galena Assembly of God, is also on Facebook and they are a host church for the Masters Commission....

Brother, you're 27 years old. You are, as Scripture puts it, 'your own man.' Stop worrying about Mom and Dad's opinions. If you were 17 that would be different. The military is often a good place to gain a useful civilian skill. Think hard about what particular field interests you and tell your recruiter that is what you're interested in doing in the military. There is nothing that says if you join the service, you have to be infantry or armor. Valuable disciplines can be learned in the military. Jesus didn't condemn military service, despite the fact he lived in the cruelest Empire the world had ever seen. He admired soldiers from all that I have read, telling them to be content with their pay and not to shake anyone down while on occupation duty. Don't feel that the military is your only option, but should you choose it, you've not chosen poorly by any means. whooooeeee there is morethen just the ground pounders and calvery in the military..... you got the brown shoes (aviation) and your sea goers (Navy and Marines) as well.... they all have their advantages, and also disadvantages..... Navy, deployments (for the most part) are 6 months in length for ship board. example, an aircraft carrier is actually a small city, and a large airport, has all that a city has, shop(s) barber shop, (beauty now I believe) stores to buy stuff, lounge(s) (day room) movies, medical center, shoot, right now I can not even think of it all, and it runs 24/7... some of the more modern can actually generate enough power to supply a good portion of Seattle with electric..... the smaller ships are supporting and protecting the aircraft carrier.... they also have a barbershop and ships store, dining facility (mess deck(s)) and are pretty much upto date on the home style living.... most of the time, if a person times it, they can have plenty of hot water for showers (timing is the clue here or you get a cold shower, which in the gulf was not a bad thing) very few people on a ship have to work out side the skin of the ship (weather decks, or just out side) most of the ship is climate controled (engine room is one exception (boiler types at least)) the meals may not be the greatest, but well, they do keep you running... (some times more ways then one... lol) I have had some very tastys meals, and then I have had some that were at the other end of the spectrum... ( oh yeah, any sailors out there getting ready for deployment, you might want to keep this in mind.... when the milk runs out, and there is branflakes or raisin bran, you can still have cerial, use APPLE JUICE in place of milk, it is different, but it is pretty good.... this works with most non-sugared cereals, for the sugarry cereals they say use ORANGE juice, I never did that, just the apple juice.....) you do get a dry bunk, that is if you do not soak it with sweat (the birthing I had was the coolest on the ship, use to be an old torpeo mag, was kept very cool , but the humidity was very high, mostly becasue we was in the gulf) when you make port calls, you have a chance of a life time, to see things you may never see again..... a friend of mine owned like 15 + bowling balls, and he loved sea duty, would do back to back tours, he was stationed on the Atlantic coast and would his deployment time in Europe, and every place he had a locker rented for a year at a time and kept his bowling balls in these lockers, when he pulled in to port, he would go bowling.... he was pretty good, not sure how many times he rolled a 290+ game... the best I ever was able to get was 10 strikes and a low spare.... 283 The Air Force, well, they tend to have really good rec centers and the commisary(grocery store) and exchange (department store) tend to be a lot better... their advancement is a bit slower then the Navys or the Armies, and their retention seems to be pretty good. Marines.... they are normally the first in to battle... they train for shore, sea and air...... you will find a marine (or two or three at least) on every navy vessel, some times you will see bunches of them on a Navy vessel.... the Marines do not have their own medical people, they use Navy Corpsman ..... Army, even though listed last, is a very important part, again, not just tanks and grunts (infantry), they also have choppers, which a person (use to be anyways) did not have to be an officer to fly, which is different then the other branches... we have a joke...... The Navy has more aircraft then the Airforce does..... we have not only shore station aircraft, but also shipboard aircraft, and we also count the Marine aircraft.. but The Army has more BOATs then the Navy..... the portable/floating bridges are concidered a boat..... the Navy has mostly ships, but each ship also has several boats.... anyways..... it would be best to really sit down and put all the pro and con's down on paper and take it to the Lord in the U.S. Military, a Chaplain is suppose to at least have a Masters Degree.... and they also have to be well enough versed in the different faiths that they can do the services.. for not all places have a Catholic, a Protestant, a Rabbi, a muslim cleric, so forth andso on..... mike

I use to say I would advise almost anyone to join the military...... and then I was even a recruiter..... after I was done with my tour of recruiting, I still supported the recruiters and encouraged people to join.... now days thou... I WOULD HAVE TO SAY A PERSON NEEDS TO REALLY GIVE IT SOME SERIOUS THOUGHT..... why? it is like this....... when MANDITORY INNOCULATIONS CAME OUT, THE MILITARY WAS THE FIRST.... and is still manditory... such as people being made to take the flu shot.... I got it three times in one year, because they kept loosing the information as my record was moving around... I have been out forover 15 years and have not got the flu since when DIRECT DEPOSIT CAME OUT, the military was pushing very hard at encouraging everyone to have it..... then their suggested DIRECT DEPOSTI became manditory for some types of commands, now, they have a debit card.. In the United States, when we take the oath, Enlistment oath I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God. here is the presidents I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. There is nothing in the oaths that say we are to serve under the United Nations. other then we are to follow the directions of the President and officers appointed over us, which the president has then basically turned his authority over the U.S. military to another entity.... also, being the military takes an item and is the first ones to go manditory on something where the people no longer have a choice (follow orders) to impliment it..... Being that the VERICHIP is being introduced into the human population for use (yes, it is currently being used in the human body, and yes, in some places it is being used to buy and sell, and yes, even in the USA we are getting ready for this, walmart is already set up to impliment it......) I see the military, in the very very near future being pushed for all members to get chipped and also for the civilians to get it and then it will become manditory for military, then for senior citizens and then well, it just rolls down hill......... I told my son when he joined, that he needed to be very careful and not to take the chip if it is offered...... he has not talked to me since he has been out ( i have no clue as to why he got out when he did, or what happened)...... I would say that a person would have to give it some serious consideration, the military is not like it use to be (now it is more political then functional, you get ahead easier by being political, rather then by doing your job well).... It use to be a very tight chain of command, now, it is micromanaged, micromanagment is very ineffective and really is not good for troop moral, it actually tears moral apart and undermines the middle management...... Blien, I am currently unemployed (temporary, so I do not have to look for work yet) but I am reallly thinking about what lays ahead, what is really coming up. They keep saying the economy is gettng better, yet, all we see here is more and more drops in everything.... the only ones that it got better for was those that got bailout money.... the little guy is suffering, those that are self employed are really sucking for air... In my opinion, the government does not want people to be self employed, they do not want small business to make it they want to contol the business and with small business, they have no control over them, until they go to a cashless society, cause then they can put the screws to the thumbs of the little guy just making ends meet and control them like they want to.... The U.S. government is now operating backwards from the way it was set up..... it is no longer the people controling the local government, and the local controling the county and the county controlling the state and the state controlling the federal, it is the other way around..... BIG BUSINESS HAS THE CONTROL OVER THE FEDERAL, and then the federal undermines the state and so forth until the city is tellin the people of the city what color you are allowed to paint your house or that your grass can only be so many MM tall, or that you can or can not put up a fence in your yard and where you can and can not put it, or if you want to rebuild your porch so that it is safe you have to get city permission and so forth and so on....... I do not know if joining the military is such a good idea anymore.... to many variables that we no longer have control over..... mike

my sister and her husband are planning a trip out to western Kansas, where there are no towns for miles and miles so they can get pix of it..... they do professional photography..... the piece of land that we have for Cedar Oaks, House of Prayer, Shiloh Ministries, is in town and very very dark at night, the street lights are far enough away, that we can watch the stars very easily..... have sat there watching the bats fly and well, it is really neat..... it is overcast here, or we would be watching the showers here.. not going to be clear til later in the week

this is true..... the Pastor is no different then any other man, that is if he is following what God has for him..... some are there and God did not call them to do that, God may have called them to be a business owner so that they could support another man to spread the Word of God, yet if they try to do the preaching, they have stepped out of their gift and the one that God did call to preach is having to find other means of support.... if I am to be a prayer warrior, and I am ordained, that does not mean I am to go preaching, yet, that does not mean i am not to spread the Word of God, but not as a pastor.... I may have a gift of song, but may not be who God wanted for the choir director, that may be some one else that really does not have a voice, but can lead..... we have to know what God has given us, and yet, not place the person on a pedistal, and not be envious of another that is placed in that position.... our leaders are due a double blessing from us...... a workman is worthy of their hire...... I have to honestly say, any message I have given, I have never been paid for, that is not the issue.... when we have done outreaches for the children, we have received a grand total of .25 ( 25 cents, 1 quarter) from a 4 year old girl that came up to Teresa and said I have something for you, she handed her the quarter then asked, will this help? that outreach was totally out of pocket and over two hours from the house..... we were blessed beyond measure for that..... Yes, we are to honor our leaders, God has set them before us, as He did Moses before Israel.... I have become dear friends with my pastors, personal support to them, even to give them a break, such as ensuring the class rooms or sanctuary is clean before or after services, policing the church grounds, checking the bathroons to ensure some one did not leave a surprise, checking the lights in vacant rooms after service. going with the Pastor on hospital visits ( a lot of pastors no longer do hospital visits, there are a couple LARGE churches in this area, that the pastor never does a home or hospital visit NONE....... being they do not some one else has to...... no, we are not to chase after a man, we are to honor their position, honor them as God has directed us.... Which day is the Sabbath? Now before you answer please be kind enough to prove your answer with a Biblical passage to do so. Many people have to work on Saturday or Sunday, the two most common Sabbaths observed. The Bible says to remember the Sabbath and to keep it Holy. When my wife was off on Wednesdays and Thursdays, Wednesday was our Sabbath. She is now off Sunday and Monday, so we can observe the Sabbath on Sunday. Now then as I have said before ................. next!!!!!!!!!!!! So, its all relative then? Not one day is specifically the Sabbath day? But it says in the Bible to work 6 days. A lot of people have a regular 9-5 job, 5 days a week. So aren't they also in violation of god's law by not working on the weekend? And what about church? Why Sunday? Is that the Sabbath? If not, why did they choose Sunday to do it? The point is, you can't have it where people decide on their own what day the Sabbath is. That means its open to interpretation. And if one thing in the Bible is open to interpretation (in other words, the opinion of man), then what else is? we are to take a day, and rest, relax, regenerate, recouperate and honor the Lord..... does it matter that one man observes Satuerday? or another Sunday? or even Wednesday? was the Sabath created for God or man? God gave us rules to live by so that we could have a relatively good life on this earth.... the food rules were more for health reasons, the sabath rule (even or the crops) is a wonderful thing, if a person has no time to rest, they burn out, I know, working 16 - 18 hours a day, 7 days a week for 6 months takes its toll on a person, that is one reson that the Navy trys to limit the underway (cruise) time.... man needs to rest, one day a week..... Man was not meant to work, other then tending to the Garden of Eden, and the animals there. Man was clothed in the Glory of God, they had no needs, for God served them, provided everything for them. There was only one rule... JUST ONE..... and man broke that rule.... keeping the law is virtually impossible, that is one reason God gave us the Laws so that we would know that we could not do it on our own..... WE NEEDED HELP.... so God gave us His plan of how we could be overcomers, could be reinstated into God's family, that is Through His Son, Jesus, the Christs..... The preaching I hear, and listen to, is not those that ping on one thing..... Homosexuals are only one form of sexual immorallity, you have human with animals, adults with juveniles, adultry (any sex that is done with some one that is not their spouse.....(spouse = Husband (man) or Wife (woman) = 1 man, 1 woman)) that wouud be any one that is not married having a relationship, that would be anyone married having a relationship with some one other then their spouse), it would also include self gradification, and even viewing porn..... NONE OF THEM WILL SEE THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.... God has already told us the penalty for the offense.... others will be liars, thieves, murderers, and others..... we can get deeper...... God said: IF YOU LOVE ME, YOU WILL KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS... not out of duty, out of love, if you love God you will want to keep the commandments, if you love your neighbor (wife, husband, others) you will place them before yourself, and do things pleasing to them and for them... is it pleasing to your spouse if you leave your cloths all over the house? or if you hit them or beat them??? is it pleasing to your neighbor if you break his windows? or would it be if you see a busted window to repair it? just something to think about..... yes, being in a world with out judgement is only a dream..... as far as Christians, well, some, Judge themselves daily, remaining on the paths of righteousness, living an upright and blameless life. Jesus told him that he needed to keep the commandments, and the young rich man replied, I have kept them all, since my youth..... what Jesus said next tore the young rich man up...... He said.... SALE ALL YOU HAVE AND GIVE IT TO THE POOR.... the young man walked away very sad, why? cause he was very wealthy and well, he looked at his money being better then following Christ..... I know a man that while higher then a kite on drugs, was operating a motor boat and drove over a woman and leterally cut her in two...... I will see this man in Heaven, why? cause like Paul, he repented and has given his life over to Christ...... I will agree with you, I did not ask Jesus to die for me either, He died for us, because he wanted to have you with Him through out all eternity.... as far as him dying, the scientific proof is there, when the heart sack sheds water, when water pours out of the body, that is when the heart is no longer functioning. you OWE everything, the problem is, nothing we (or you) can do will ever make up for it, there is no way you (or me) can pay restitution for what we have done in our lives.... just on earth, if I was caught, tried and convicted of every little thing I did, I would be spending well over 200 years behind bars.. am I any better then you? no, not in the least, but I did realize that I needed some one else to lean on rather then my own self... I was headed down the wide and easy path straight to hell.... God showed me, I repented, God had already forgiven my sins, I just had to accept it (the gift of forgiveness and salvation) it is still there for you should you want it, He (God) will not force it on you, you have been given the choice to either accept it, or reject it.... the choice is yours.... should you wait too long, that choice will not be there, and you will be lost with others that have rejected God, rejected His plan of salvation, His Son Jesus.... your choice.... God gave us that choice, make your decission soon, cause not too far down the road, you will no longer have that choice.... mike

That's not what I mean. I know what the "truth" of the forum is, I just think its nasty to say all atheists are going to hell when some are better people than some Christians I know. It should be based on the goodness in your life, not believing in some supernatural being. Its like a cop-out. It doesn't matter to God what you think it should be. Salvation is based on your acceptance of what Christ did on the Cross to pay for your sins. Not how good you think you are. There is going to be a lot of good people in Hell. Yeah, and by the looks of it, a lot of "great" people in heaven. Rapists, pedophiles, serial killers who all "repent." Not to mention Hitler, Jerry Falwell, Fred Phelps and his gang of lunatics, George W. Bush, etc etc. I think that being a good person and an atheist is better than believing in god and being a nasty person. The Bible (The Word Of God) is very specific about who will and who will not see Heaven..... those that are sexually immoral (any form other then husband(man) and wife (woman) this even includes those that are abusers of themselves... liars will not see heaven either, nor whoremongers, idoliters (as far as the Presidents of the USA, you may wish to look at the Bohemian Grove group) any one that worships anyone or anythng except God.... those that reject the Gospel of Jesus Christ, crucified, rizen...... there is only one way.. and that is Through Christ, Jesus. people that go against Israel will not be going for they are against the promise that God gave Abraham, Isaac and Jacob... there are many more that will not see Heaven either..... what constitutes a "GOOD PERSON"..... I use to be able to run 5 miles in under 22 minutes.... does that make me a good runner? I use to swim every day, and have been known to swim a mile at a time.... does that make me a good swimmer? to some people I am pretty tall.... does that mean I am tall? some call me a good person.... why do they call me good? just because I do not cheat them? or because I do not steal from them? or maybe because I have given some one some food or water? come now, am I really good if I do not charge late fees on rent (or enforce them)? what makes me good???? I will tell you, I have completed a couple marithon runs, I have swam quite a bit, I am tall, for some people, others say I am short.... I do my best to do God's will, not worrying about mans, by doing God's will, and staying in His graces rather then mans, is more of what I intend to do, not out of duty, but out of love..... am I good? well, depends on what standard a person is using to measure my "goodness" Goodness being a relative term..... the standard to use, is the Word of God... if I use the Bible, I have been an abomination unto the Lord in my life.... I have stolen, I hae coveted, I have commited adultry (in my heart) I have lied, I have all but murdered... what makes it so I can go into the Kingdom of God? I have to agree..... no matter what day of the year was picked for the time to remember and celebrate the birthday of Christ, people would always find something wrong with that day.... an evergreen/pine/spuce, is used because of the always green, symbolixing new life.... what does Christ do for us? offersd us NEW LIFE...... the giving of gifts, comes from the magi bringing gifts to Christ, our gifts are in love for the person that we are giving them..... according to them Jesus and Lucifer (satan) are brothers..... they do believe that Jesus was on this earth, just that he is not fully devine and was fully flesh, they believe He is only a good man and prophet, not that he is the Only Son of God..... here is the thing, if Jesus and Lucifer ARE the brothers, then the BIBLE lies.... If Jesus IS the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD, then the J.W. lie and the Bible holds true.... know your bible, not theirs.... you will get red flags while talking to them and if you study God's Word, you will be able to stand fast, with out being deceived.... mike

it is taught that holidays were invented by the former Lucifer (satan, devil) and anyone that celbrates holidays is sinning....... funny, there are 7 feasts that are suppose to be followed, yet they do not keep them either..... birthdays of anysort are not allowed, especially in school. their main thing is that Jesus was a good man, a prophet, they do not believe in his diety..... here is the real catch...... while they talk a good talk they lie about what they are taught, and take offense if a person tends to know more about them then they thing a person should..... at one time, they believed that only 144,000 would be saved, and they thought they would be the only ones..... now they are teaching that only the top 144,000 will live in the New Jerusalem, and the rest will be living in the burbs (being there are more then 144,000 of them.... it is a works based religion, the more points you get the better off you are, points for going door to door, points for attending church points for this, points for that....... (it is not called a points system but that is what it amounts to) some of them are in such a way, like I said, they talk a good talk, but they do not follow through, a little girl here is the daughter of a J.W. couple, and since the first week of school, they have supposidly were going to get her glasses so she could see to do her school work, this issue has been turned over to SRS, for she still does not have glasses..... I have no idea what gave them the idea that holidays are evil, and if you celebrate them you are going to hell..... Christ even celebrated, celbrated pass over, went to weddings, funerals, so forth and so on, and I am sure he kept the FEASTS as was the custom..... they love to talk to you about Jesus..... will talk about Him, but.... ask them this....... do they believe Christ died on the cross......... then ask them if they believe He rose from the grave three days later..... then ask where He is now....... three simple questions..... you can ask them Who Jesus is ( or maybe word it was) and see where that takes you.... they also believe that Lucifer is the brother of Jesus..... funny, being Jesus was the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON.... so some where there is a lie, either Jesus is not the only begotten and the Bible is lying, or Jesus is the only begotten and the J.W. are lying.... what should it be? mike

I don't know anything about the movement, but this verse sums up ...name it, claim it and believe it you shall receive it. Can someone explain this movement? it is out of context is what is happening, they have left out the condition that was set upon us... man.... part is our faith, another part, is (just waht is listed here) IF YOU HOLD ANYTHING AGAINST ANYONE, FORGIVE HIM..... hmmm forgiveness.... how many here are holding unforgiveness????? how many here have offended their brother and have failed to go to their brother and make ammends???? conditions..... mike

Well, it goes hand in hand with the prosperity gospel preachers who claim God wants all believers rich. They pretty much turn God into a genie who grants whatever they ask for as long as they claim it in Jesus' name. yep, and then when it does not happen, they no longer trust in God..... they are blown ever which way by the wind..... no roots..

not, being that everything (except Gods unconditional love for us) has conditions on it..... even our salvation is conditional, we have to accept the gift..... as far as other stuff, we are instructed how that is to come about, and it has nothing to do the blabbing it and grabbing it.... seek ye FIRST................THEN................ (CONDITION...) IF, THEN constitutes condition.... when it is said that He will give us the desires of our hearts, what is really meant? if we are truely following HIM, then the desires of our heart are no longer about us, it is about Christ and those that we are to be serving, those lost souls and bringing them to Christ, not about a car, or phone or junk like that, but eternal desires..... mike
