There are people on this thread who want people to believe what I post about sin is wrong. These people don’t address the scripture that is quoted by me, but try to say I am wrong by quoting scripture that is out of context. One person quoted that we have an advocate with Jesus Christ. That is true, but Jesus is also a just judge, and will make sure a sinner will get his or her just judgment. Also where scripture tells us we have an advocate with the Father, scripture also tell us to have that advocate one has to keep Jesus’ Commandments. Jesus told us not to sin. If one sins he or she have no place in Jesus Christ our Lord and God. Now read one of the verses that tells us we have an advocate with the Father. IN the original Greek what John said was that anyone who abides in Him continues to live in habitual sin. It doesn't say in the Greek that those who abide in Jesus never commit a single sin the rest of their lives. Paul didn't say we are dead to sin. He said to "reckon yourselves dead to sin (Rom. 6:11) We are not to live in sin. That means we are not practice or make a habit of sin. It doesn't mean that we won't occasionally stumble. The original Greek in even Romans 6:1 refers to the practice of habitual sin, not the act of committing a single sin. The notion that are expected to live without committing a single sin isn't in the Bible. You are simply teaching a grossly false doctrine. That is right after water baptism one needs to receive the Holy Spirit, and then allow the Holy Spirit to teach him or her. The Holy Spirit will give one the grace to never sin again. Hi John, context is everything. We hardly want to ignore what John said but we don't the verse to invalidate everything else the Bible states either. For instance, is John contradicting himself in this verse? What? Is John really talking to his spiritual children here who are Christians? What does he mean but if they sin they have an advocate with the Father - Jesus Christ our advocate? Didn't John say if they sin they do NOT know God - then how do they have an advocate? Aren't they done and lost forever? Now don't get me wrong as I'm not arguing for sin - quite frankly it is the opposite; I'm arguing against sin - since sin comes from the enemy and the enemy is here to steal and destory. Yet I haven't met a single Christian yet who does not sin, nor one that hasn't needed God's good help to get them back up on their feet when their faith fails them or they fall prey to sin. BTW Paul states that everything that is not of faith is sin (Romans 14:23b) "If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us." Yes, I have heard people before state this but usually it is not with much humility and usually with a great deal of pride, which is in itself a great b root of many underlying sins. Why does the writer of Hebrews talk to Chritians about "the sin that so easily besets us", if Christians can no longer sin? Why does Paul admonish the Galatians for falling into legalism, or the Corinthians for protecting and allowing sin in their church? If we also examine John's Greek a little deeper we would also see that he is talking about continuing the practice of sins. Do you consider that Peter didn't know God? How about Barnabas? Yet Paul clearly states that they both were in the wrong and practicing hypocrisy, which I believe is a sin. Do you consider hypocrisy a sin? Why are there so many verses in the New Testament that instruct us to correct and rebuke Christian in order to edify the Church if Christians do not sin? If Christians don't sin once we have the infilling of the Holy Spirit why would that be even necessary? Why does James as well as John tell us to confess our sins if the Christians can no longer fall short or are not in continual need of God's grace and restoration? All I know is that we all were sinners saved by the blood of Christ. Sometimes we might fall and sin again. Then we repent and ask Jesus to forgive us again. Sometimes I have days were I have to ask Jesus to forgive me 2 or 3 times in the same day. That's all I know. A Christian is dead to sin. No mater what your opinion is Scripture tells us that one who sins has never seen God nor knows God. So if you sin you do not know God nor are you a Christian. A Christian walks as Jesus walked. (KJV) Who is the "false prophet" of Rev.19:20 then? Well, does any flesh born man go into the "lake of fire" prior to God's Great White Throne Judgment at the end of Christ's "thousand years" reign? NO! If you do believe some do perish before that Great White Throne Judgment after the thousand years then you have left God's Holy Writ. Yet per Rev.19:20 we see the "false prophet" and "beast" (1st beast) are destroyed in the lake of fire at Christ's coming at the start... of Christ's "thousand years" reign. That's how we can be certain the "false prophet" is just another ROLE that Satan will play, and the role, not Satan himself, is destroyed at Christ's coming. The "beast" of Rev.19:20 is the 1st beast of Rev.13:1-2, which is a kingdom beast (per Christ's definition of what the 'waters' represent in Rev.17:15 and its link to the kingdoms of Daniel 7 in Rev.13:2). When our Lord Jesus comes, naturally that 1st beast (kingdom) will be destroyed. (John 14:26) “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all I have said to you.” You all should know that we only know what God wants us to know. People believe they have some insight to the written Word of God, but unless God reveals what a verse means it is nothing but an assumption on one’s part.

No a spiritual Christian does not sin. (1 John 3: 5 - 6) “ Now you know that He appeared in order to abolish sin, and that in Him there is no sin; anyone who lives in God does not sin, and anyone who sins has never seen Him or known Him.” That doesn't mean we don't sin, but that we should not be living in a state of habitual sin. How can someone say they Know Him but still parties and drinks? Still in their old ways. As christians we should strive to live righteously and want to imitate Christ and not go back to live in a state of sin. Even Paul underlined his struggled with his flesh, as were sinful by nature it's a spirtual battle that's ongoing till Christ makes us new when He returns at the second coming. Rom 7:15- 25 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. God has done what the Law, because of our unspiritual nature, was unable to do. Do you believe the Holy Spirit will dictate for one to commit sin? John tells us that if one sins he or she is of the devil. Can one who is of the devil be a Christian? I'm just wondering when you think a Christian is matured and does that mean they don't sin anymore? Personally I believe a mature Christian is one who does not commit a deliberate sin. What makes for a mature Christian? Accepting Jesus as one’s God and savior. Becoming baptized in Jesus’ name, and receiving the Holy Spirit is the first step. Next a person needs to give his or her life to God, and allow that Holy Spirit to teach him or her to live the Word of God. When that happens Jesus and the Father will come and make their home in him or her. (1 John 2:27) “But you have not lost the anointing that he gave you, and you do not need anyone to teach you, the anointing he gave teaches you everything; you are anointed with truth, not a lie, and as it has taught you, so you must stay in him.” (John 14:23-24) “Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father.” Hebrews gives us scripture’s definition of a mature Christian. (Hebrews 10:26) “If, after we have been given knowledge of the truth” (Hebrews 6: 4) “As for those people who were once brought into the light, and tasted the gift from heaven, and received a share of the Holy Spirit, and appreciated the good message of God and the powers of the world to come” Paul gave us his definition of a baby Christian. (1 Corinthians 3:1-3) “Brothers, I myself was unable to speak to you as people of the Spirit; I treated you as sensual men, still infants in Christ. What I fed you with was milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it; and indeed, you are still not ready for it since you are still unspiritual. Isn’t that obvious from all the jealousy and wrangling that there is among you, from the way that you go on behaving like ordinary people?”

But that's a different subject, although it is related to Satan as the 2nd beast of Revelation 13. People see what he or she want to see in the written Word of God. There is only one way to come to the truth, and that is to have God personally teach him or her>

Jesus once told me to give him the first few moments of every situation, I gave my life to Jesus, and asked for his will to be my will. Everything I do is as God has me do, and the Holy Spirit always gives me the grace to do God's will.

Might want to check the spirit you're listening to, because the Scriptures point directly to Satan himself as the coming Antichrist. And by that I mean Satan here on earth in person, and not by some demon possession idea. In Rev.12:7 forward our Lord Jesus showed us about Satan being cast out of Heaven down to the this earth in the last days, with his angels. The abode of hell, haides, or whatever one wants to call it, is in the Heavenly. When the war in Heaven between Michael and his angels vs. Satan and his angels occurs, the devil's place in the Heavenly will be no more. That leaves only one other place he can go to, i.e., this earthly dimension we live in. The many antichrists that are here on earth which work for Lucifer are continually trying to hide this specific matter, and want us to instead think the Antichrist is about some flesh man being possessed in order to fulfill the role of the coming Antichrist/false messiah. They don't want you to think it could be the Devil himself. Yet the Devil is who the Scriptures are directly pointing to. It's simply a matter of whether people are going to believe the Scriptures as they are actually written or not, or instead heed pop tradition. Just to share my revaluation when Jesus told me who the Anti-Christ was I asked him if he meant the end time Anti-Christ. Jesus told me he was the end time/tribulation Anti-Christ. It is not part of my ministry, at this time to go public with what Jesus has told me, but I enjoy sharing what Jesus has told me, and he lets me do that only on the Christian forums. Reading about all the suffering people are going through in the world was making me sad, but Jesus scolded me for feeling sad for those people. He told me it was his wrath they were suffering, and they deserved the punishment they were going through. It is only the beginning.of Jesus' wrath, and it is going to become much worse.
