  1. A succinct truth and a blind spot for many who prefer not to acknowledge it. It knocks down the main pillar of the pretrib fallacy. It's vital to understand the difference between tribulation, judgment, and wrath to make sense of what's going on in the end times. To get a better understanding, ask yourself these questions: Tribulation - who is being troubled and why? Where is the tribulation coming from? Man, Satan, God? Judgment - what judgment has been made? Who made the judgment and who is being judged? What are the penalties, if any? Wrath - whose anger is it? God's, Satan's, man's? Who are they angry at? Why? To view these terms as synonymous and call them all the wrath of God in order to substantiate a pet doctrine is irresponsible.
  2. Amen! And prophecy will not be fulfilled according to the wishes of man either, but according to the will of God. If someone truly wants to know the timing of the rapture, they will start with the verses that talk about it because the verses that talk about it plainly state when it will be. Start with those verses and see where it leads. If someone chooses to ignore the plainly stated timing and then proceeds to cherry-pick passages to contort into something unintended, well, its obvious they are primarily being influenced by their own interpretation. If you ignore what's plainly stated in lieu of something that contradicts it, its simply an error.
  3. Your infatuation with the pre-trib fallacy blinds you to her flaws to the point you reject any attempts at having them pointed out. You want her to be true so badly that you're willing to give her precedence over sound reasoning but ultimately, she will disappoint. Your zeal in defending her is admirable but don't let your desire for something to be true cloud your judgment. Again, may God give us discernment and zeal that we might be ready and endure to the end.
  4. Or maybe the fallen angels possessed the women and manipulated the genetics after they were pregnant.
  5. Your ability to misapply scripture doesn't count for anything, even though you're quite good at it. My prayer is that you, and the rest of the body of Christ, will have both the discernment and the zeal to endure to the end.
  6. I'm not saying that seventh angel sounding his trumpet and the Lord God blowing the trumpet are the same event. As I see it, the seventh angel sounding his trumpet begins the day of the Lord when the Lord descends and sounds His trumpet. Concerning Exodus 19 and correlating it to the end times, what the people were to do before the Lord descended is more relevant than how long it took, in my opinion. The Lord also said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments; and let them be ready for the third day, for on the third day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. Exodus 19:10-11 Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.” Revelation 16:15 The significance of the third day, when related to something in the Old Testament, was related to Jonah.
  7. Yes, it is the trumpet of God, and Paul was likely referring to this passage: Then the Lord will appear over them, And His arrow will go forth like lightning; And the Lord God will blow the trumpet, And will march in the storm winds of the south. The Lord of hosts will defend them. And they will devour and trample on the sling stones; And they will drink and be boisterous as with wine; And they will be filled like a sacrificial basin, Drenched like the corners of the altar. And the Lord their God will save them in that day As the flock of His people; For they are as the stones of a crown, Sparkling in His land. Zechariah 9:14-16 I see this as coming just after the seventh trumpet, when Jesus returns on the day of the Lord. Is there one that comes after this, or is this the last trumpet?
  8. A very important and often neglected truth. "Out of sight, out of mind" seems to shape our perception. If God were to open our spiritual eyes, we would be amazed at what all goes on in the unseen realm. But since we don't see it, we don't think too much of it, which is a shortcoming. It's no coincidence that the kingdom of Satan's influence among men (mystery Babylon) manifested in "natural" seats of power (cities) is likewise referred to allegorically as "Babylon", at least in the case of the seven heads.
  9. No, no, no. The great tribulation is not a time God's judgment and wrath. I know you desperately need such a mishmash to be true because its one of the main pillars supporting the pre-trib fallacy but it is NOT true. The great tribulation is a time when believers are persecuted. Read Revelation 7. It's stated very clearly there. Believers are also clearly mentioned in several places between Revelation 6 and 18. The rapture is mentioned as the first reaping in Revelation 14:14-16, remember? If you want to know the timing of when the dead in Christ rise and those alive are changed, and all are caught up, then look to when Jesus and Paul declared it will happen. It does no good to make stuff up. Start by identifying the last trumpet, the trumpet of God, and when the last day is. Don't adjust what the Bible says to fit what you want it to say. Prophecy is not fulfilled according to the wishes of man but according to the will of God.
  10. Why do you persist in failing to distinguish between tribulation, judgment, and wrath? Why do you continue to make such a mishmash out of them? I'm afraid that your love of the pre-trib fallacy has clouded you mind.
  11. All good points. There is no biblical precedent for believers escaping tribulation, in fact the opposite is true. Those who refuse to see it do so because they don't like the idea of it, and who does? However, denying it won't make it go away. Its much better to prepare for it.
  12. Those who are guided by dialectic usually see the church going through the great tribulation. Those who are guided by their emotions tend to hope in the pre-trib. This is why the two camps largely talk past each other. They process thoughts from completely different perspectives. Both will be tested, equally.
  13. I agree, it's tentative and not set in stone. Time will tell.
  14. Unless I see the final world kingdom as the U.N. Then it would be NYC where they are headquartered.
  15. Personally, I think its a reference to the geographical seats of power of each of the seven heads, e.g. Nineveh, Susa, Rome, NYC, etc. that exercise power because of the efforts of six specific fallen angels.
  16. Agreed. The supernatural's influence on the natural is an often overlooked but critically important concept to keep in mind, especially when talking about prophecy. It helps make sense of it all.
  17. And I see the four beasts primarily as the fallen angels who spawned them and caused them to exercise dominion.
  18. Essentially because you have the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet. The dragon is Satan. The beast comes up out of the abyss so he is a fallen angel. The false prophet has a number which is that of a man. So, two fallen angels and one human. Three of the ten are pulled out by the roots, not "taken control of." If you don't want a weed to grow back, you pull it out by the roots. Three of the 10 are destroyed, as I see it anyway.
  19. Agreed. Then he said, “Do you understand why I came to you? But I shall now return to fight against the prince of Persia; so I am going forth, and behold, the prince of Greece is about to come." Daniel 10:20 About to come from where? My guess is the abyss.
  20. FWIW, I see the second seal (red horse) corresponding to that point in time beginning when the 10 horns destroy the world capital. What ensues is wars and rumors of war including the false prophet's destruction of three of the 10. It's what catapults the false prophet to his status of "invincible" leading him to proclaim to be God.
  21. That's an interesting application there Sister. You're taking "purified" to mean "proven faithful"? It certainly fits concerning the seven kingdoms.
  22. I don't have much more to add. Here's the rest of that thought: And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him. Hebrews 9:27-28 It seems to be addressing more the one-time sufficiency of Christ's death for the remission of sins. I don't think it's meant to emphasize "die once" (which is usually the case) but rather the sequence, like the sequence of Christ's sacrifice (first coming) and subsequent return (second coming). “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life." John 5:24 Some people don't come into judgment after they die, so I see it as more of a general statement.
  23. They existed before the first century too. There has to be something particular about them.
  24. That's not necessarily an absolute. Lazarus was raised from the dead as well as others.
