One action that stands out in my mind. Iranians took Americans captive which played heavily against Carter in the 1980 election. Not only did Iran's action help foster a Reagan/Bush win.... The original holy site was left clean because there was no indication that a temple ever existed there. Before Islam existed and Muslims conquered Jerusalem, Byzantium Christians ruled Jerusalem. That mosque on the temple mount was originally a Byzantine church, the Church of St. Mary. The Dome of the Rock which is now a Muslim shrine has an octagon foundation... a Byzantine Christian design. Genesis 6 does not give a lot of information detailing how intermarriage corrupted the genetic code necessitating the destruction of all except Noah [and his family] who was perfect in his "generations." Men today work overtime corrupting genetic codes, splicing diverse kinds into all sorts of abominations. Genetically modified crops are one example how corrupt men corrupt the environment. .

Do you realize how New Testament your post is ? And how you are actually confirming to me that we are indeed in that repeat pattern of history. Btw... Jesus never explained His parables in public to the masses... but privately to His disciples. .

. Iran is an odd bird. Before the Islamic revolution, Americans and Europeans helped to build Iran's nuclear power program. After the Islamic revolution, the building of Bushehr was stopped. Later, Iran contracted with Russia to finish building Bushehr [ironically, the head of Russia's nuclear power agency is half Jewish.] I have a unique take on Iran because it has a unique and important place in Old Testament history. I believe God's Ark of the Covenant was hidden in Elam [where God's anointed king, Cyrus, first arose.] Elam is now part of Iran... the Bushehr abomination was built in what was once ancient Elam. .

Be careful. Jesus is our focus. Always. When you focus on anything, or anyone, else, it becomes a distraction and a trap. Even idolatry. Don't camp out at the signs. Because of my God-led study and understanding of the Bible and history... I have targeted Spring 2015 for many years... but I only recently heard about the blood moons and noticed how others were also focused on 2015 via a different path and for different reasons. Several times in the gospels Jesus is called God's Lamb... but that name association really explodes in the book of Revelation where the symbol of Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God is used repeatedly. over and over. One more reason to focus on SPRING 2015 !! .

I've been posting here how we are now in a repeat pattern of history... similar to the OT 70 years of Babylonian rule and the NT 70 years of Rome/Edom rule that began when King Herod conquered Jerusalem in 37BC until the crucifixion, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. In the NT, the wise men saw a sign in heaven that herald the birth of a new king. But Herod, Rome's declared Edomite " king of Judea", had a different interest in the birth of this new king. Many years before Herod had exterminated the last of the Israelite kings... and did not want a new Israelite king usurping his power. That is why Herod murdered the babes of Bethlehem to try to murder the Christ child. An analogy might be Constantine seeing a sign in heaven before his decisive battle. Isaiah 34 has similar imagery as Joel 2 and Rev 6... but Isaiah 34 has more... another, important clue... the imagery of God's sword in heaven bathed in the blood of Edom [idumea.] " For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment. The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea. " Isaiah 34:5-6 These verses in Isaiah 34 parallel God's judgment of Edom in Isaiah 63:1-6 which also parallels Rev 19:11-21 !!
