  1. Military helicopter crashes in NW Florida http://www.cnn.com/2015/03/11/us/florida-army-helicopter/index.html Very sad, prayers for them and their loved ones.
  2. Good for Congress. It is just mean to make people around the country suffer needlessly because of some misguided view of marajuana. All the thousands of man-made drugs that do things far worse to a person than medical marajuana .
  3. I don't know a single liberal that wants to vote for her.
  4. To old and forgotten. A radio host today said that Hillary couldn't win becaue she was too "boring". In the day and age of social media it will take a "rock star". It is why Obama won. Never again will we have an old looking or over weight president.
  5. I don't think the DNC, even has a Plan B, for a failed Hillary candidacy. That might be true, but she won't be it. Someone like her husband will come along and steal the show.
  6. Anyone did this at a non-government job they would be toast. And she acts like it will be no big deal. She will never get the nomination, her time was 2008 and Obama messed it up. The Dems had a grand plan of Hillary passing the torch to Obama. She is now too old and damaged goods. Even more than the GOP, the DNC nominee will be a total black horse that nobody is talking about right now. Not that any of it matters, the differences between the two parties is so neglible that whoever wins it just won't mattwr.
  7. Great answer Ezra, there is not room inside a man for both the Holy Spirit and a demon.
  8. I agree with you both, this was bad enough to warrant this action. I am going to assume the Frat national office will soon take action as well. Thank you for your input
  9. Two OU students were kicked out of school over a racist video. Is this too much? Should a school be able to boot you for this?
  10. Shouldn't any group that is anti-abortion also be pro contraception?
  11. Nobody is disputing that it was warmer in the past, most of all the scientist who study this stuff. But it is a non sequitur to go from there to the conclusion humans are not part of the cause this time . And your link states that when Greenland was that green sea levels were 3 to 6 feet higher. What do you suppose 6 feet higher seas would do to the 40% of the world that lives close to a coast line? And if Greenland is that warm, what do you think the temps in the plains where the vast majority of our food is grown going to be? About natural cycles: http://ossfoundation.us/projects/environment/global-warming/natural-cycle
  12. And you have provided any data at all? I have seen nothing but partisan political emotion from the deniers The data shows the earth has warned and the CO2 has increased out of a normal climate cycle. If you can provide data that points to something other than mankind, feel free to do so
  13. In addition .... So what caused greenland to be green waaaay back then before the industrial revolution? Why is coming out of a mini ice age as we were told for years was happening suddenly man made global warming? What is the normal temperature that we are freakishly deviating from according to global warming hype? Based on records of only 100 yrs or so, how can anyone claim that suddenly we are having bad global warming that is man made? Why have their been high levels of CO2 in the past that is not caused by man? Why has that been ok? Why should I remotely believe the scientists in this when there have been multiple cases of intentionally altered data, errors promoted as fact, failed theories, documented cases of bullying scientists who go against global warming etc? I am not a climate scientist so I cannot answer your questions. This site hits most of them... http://www.skepticalscience.com/argument.php
  14. So it was God's actions and not man's that were responsible for the Dust Bowl of the 20's? Our practices at the time had nothing to do with that? As a Bible believing Christian I can tell you I think you are wrong about that.
  15. My father was overweight and smoked a pack a day for 30 years. For 20 plus of those doctors made predictions about his health that never came true. He made comments much like the ones above. All the doctors were just making it up for whatever reason. He even discounted one doctor become that doctor was also over weight. One day all the predictions came true, then it was too late. If I ever have kids they will never get to know their grandpa. Add to that a great many predictions have come true, just not the ones that the non-scientist politicians made.
  16. I apologize, it seems I have not been clear enough when I was speaking about weather and when I was speaking of the climate, as they are not one in the same. The climate goes through cycles, ice ages and such. These cycles are fairly easy to determine based upon the evidences left behind. Based upon that history we should not be in the warming cycle we are in. Also, the speed with which the temps have increased is abnormal. The extreme weather that was spoke of in this thread is a predicted outcome of the climate changing. Two things we know for certain, the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere has gone up exponentially since the industrial revolution and temps have increased in the last century outside of the normal climate cycle. We know man can affect the weather, just read about the dust bowl of the 20's. There is nothing in the bible that would preclude mankind from messing up the climate cycle as well.
  17. The earth has kept a record of it's weather in all sorts of places, glaciers, trees, river beds and many more places.
  18. I can see the YMCAs getting a lot more customers soon. Even with those of my generation this is taking things too far. I can see the potential for lawsuits when some supposed transgender guy starts hitting on the women in the locker room
  19. The fact that the earth's climate goes through cycles is how scientist know that what is happening now is partially due to man. The cycles are fairly consistent and that has allowed those who study this to understand how those cycles work and their timeline. The fact that their is a cycle to the planet is further evidence that man is having an effect.
  20. This leads me to wonder what is your source of expertise on the Muslim mind? Spent a lot of time with them? Lived in any Muslim countries?
  21. Kwilphilly, the data sets are available from NASA on their website.
  22. I am not trying to prove anyone wrong, just pointing out what I view as flawed thinking. Let me ask you this, if your analysis at work showed clearly that Method B was more efficient but a guy told you " I remember when we used to pump out twice as many, back in the day". Would you trust your analysis or his memory?
  23. I apologize again if that was out of line, just trying to show what I see as the absurdity of choosing memories over data. Memories are 100% subjective, that is just a pure fact. What is a "lot of snow" is different to a 10 year old and a 20 year old. "It was really cold" is again subjective. Memories are influenced by so many things. I truly cannot understand why someone would reject a million points of data for their own subjective memories.
