  1. Yes, indeed i did and will keep doing so, just ignore it ??
  2. Lol now i understand.. im always on mobile so i hv no idea that it shows me on private all the time.. even when im not even talking to anyone in private! ? im usually in main most of the time lol
  3. Uh? The bible says nothing? Do kindly explain what you meant by this?.
  4. Hahahaha... now where is that brick
  5. Shallom! I could go on and on about this, but i would just say this: Try comparing the life of Prophet Muhammad with Jesus; their personalities, characteristics, their spoken words and actions. Then judge for yourself who the Comforter is or is from.
  6. Very beautifully written, Steve. You do have the talent to write. I suppose people get "forgotten" overtime and due to circumstance, but not by those whose hearts have been touched by a kind, loving soul. It is understandable that in your age, you would reminisce or remember many things that has happened in life...the good and bad memories.. the what ifs.. the regrets. Take heart, Steve. One day you will meet her again! God bless
  7. Woow woow..wait a minute... "They painted me to have a fragile conscience?" I wonder who are these "they" you speak of. Do they even know me well enough to even conclude about me? Or even to describe me as someone with "fragile conscience"? And yowm, i have never even spoken to you at all, except for reading your posts on forums. I actually first had this question in mind when my name was first mentioned, but i didn't want to make this an issue. But since yowm have said those words out himself, i have to ask. I dont think this "they" took time to know me, let alone for them to judge me. It seems like i have been talked about too. As "flattering" as this makes me feel, i certainly would appreciate that people would directly ask me if anything should cause me to stumble or atleast know my stand in Christ. Sometimes, people may misinterpret what i have said or people assume they know my level just by "observing" me. Anyway, i am done. Sorry didnt mean to bring this irrelevant thing here. God bless and thank you for the discussion.
  8. Haha. Yeah. I wasn't sure if you meant me but no worries i truly understand what you meant and you are not wrong about those who come in as "wolves in sheeps clothing". We had cases of Muslim spies in churches, pretending to be Christians. So i just thought of clarifying myself. Thank you for explaining.
  9. Thank you, atleast i know i am making sense lol. In all honesty, i live in the circle so i speak from first hand experience.
  10. Hi jewel ^^. Hugsss sister! They say "it isnt a big deal" but we all know it indeed is a big deal. Haha. Of course theoretically to say we all worship the same God seems true (on the surface). But when we dig deeper, we know we don't. Muslims can never address Allah as Father. It is blasphemous.
  11. Shallom brother / sister. I am Eastern Star. I am a Christian, i accepted Christ in my early 20s. And no im not someone who is sent here in pretense of being a Christian hehe. Im too "famous" to be doing that here. (Humour intended).
  12. Well, allow me to humbly clarify. From where i come from, there are certainly many distinctions made, not only by words but by actions. Of course, if you look at the Quran, the People of the Book (Jews and Christians) are stated as being from the same lineage of Abraham, thus, this is implied as Jews, Christians and Muslims worship the same God. Even there is a verses where Allah told the prophet Muhammad to consult the People of the Book if there are any doubt. (If my memory serves me right) BUT... there are also other verses in the Quran/Hadith that also present Jews and Christians (perhaps more of the Jews) as their enemy. So much so the passport that i hold is not valid for Israel, special permission must be obtained from the government. This is just one example. Where i come from, preaching to Muslims could result in imprisonment if anyone reports, not only for the person who shares or preaches, but also for the Muslim too, should she or he possess Christian materials, receive them or listen or attend church etc. So the consequences is dire for both party. (This is just a second example.) My point i am trying to make is, if we are indeed worshipping the same God, then there shouldn't be any conflict among Jews, Christians and Muslims in terms of faith. Of course these three may coexist peacefully, just like how most of my close friends are muslims. But by faith and in essence, we differ. Guess what would happen if i start sharing the Gospel to them? All hell would break loose. But of coz, the opposite is acceptable and indeed encouraged, for Muslims to preach Islam to non-muslims. I am not am expert on theology. In fact i come from Hindu background. So i hv so much to learn. And i may be wrong. I am sharing this from my own perspective of how things go in where i come from.
  13. This is very wrong. Very very wrong. Im an advocate for peace but this is shaking hands with the Devil. Believe you me, in a short span of time, the church would turn into a mosque and this place would be taken over by Muslims and you would see the existing Christians there turning to Islam. Just look at the history of abandoned or conquered churches being turned into mosques. You will never ever find any mosque be used as a place of worship for other religions, let alone Christians. We had similar issue where a muslim prayer room or "surau" was used by a non-muslim to lead a prayer. If my memory serves me right, buddhist prayer. Guess what happened. Yup it became a big issue though no one died or anythg. But the point is... the Muslims will never tolerate this in their places of worship. And now we have some churches being an instrument for "peace" by being a doormat for others to step on. I attended a presbyterian church recently but oddly we dont hv such things in churches where i come from in the east. Churches do seem different in approach in the west. Again, not surprising either cause we are in the duration where Christianity is spreading rapidly in the east but the opposite is happening in the west ...so it seems. But yes, the only thing we can do is pray so that churches in general are no longer blinded by the subtle, attack of the enemy who uses "peace" as an instrument to spread discord among the followers of Christ. Sure Allah means God but this Allah they worship is certainly not the same as the Allah Father we worship. It is funny how the People of the Book, as the Quran refers to the Christians and Jews, often seem to sacrifice their faith and sometimes themselves to give in to the people of Ishmael. Reminds me of Isaac who was almost sacrificed at the altar. Just a random thought though. I am all for interfaith dialogue and living in peace with one another of coz. But not in the expense of i must place my faith below or hide / sacrifice my faith /agree with the other as not to offend. While the other has all the liberty to practise and even proclaim one's faith, and i have to just keep mum and smile just to not offend the same. That's what happening today anyway.
  14. Unfortunately, it is not as simple as that, simplejeff. Someone who commits suicide follow satan n those who do, do not.. ? *sometimes i really have to scratch my head with some of the responses i read*
  15. I just have to clarify this out though. Judas took his own life... meaning he killed himself. I suppose since he killed himself, he died didn't he? What did you mean by Judas never died but he took his own life? Unless Judas is still alive after taking his own life? Irony.. "Died in his transgression or without repentance to what he has commited against the Lord is what I think sojourner was trying to point out too, as what you have explained.
  16. Still .. as pointed out. It is not solely the act of commiting suicide that sends one to hell but rather what happens before that or the actions that took place prior to unrepented suicide as what happened to Judas and King Saul. So they died in their transgression. However, considering other scenarios that involve people who suffer or suicide due to other's sin? For example, a rape victim who, out of shame/dignity or trauma, commits suicide (this is more common in non-western countries), would God automatically send her to hell / have her name removed solely because she commits suicide. Again, my point here is... we don't know exactly because this involves God's judgment for he sees all things...every little details would be taken account into consideration for God is just. It is for God to deal. Of course, suicide is clear cut sin and wrong but to say that they would have their name taken out from the book by quoting those scriptures by ignoring every other details of why a suicide occur is... kinda victimizing the victim. And definitely there isn't a scripture that shows people commiting suicide would go to heaven because some of the suicide cases thats happening now, didnt occur much back then, atleast they weren't recorded in the scriptures. (I maybe wrong in this). This is really a case to case scenario here, not a one-size-fits-all thing. Im not gonna go on debating this because we would really only go in circles. Haha. Im just putting my opinions and thoughts out here.
  17. Hmm.. suicide is not the solution to any life's problems. One would want to take away the pain forever but in contrast, this decision would surely inflict pain in others. Remember, it may end your pain or problems, but those who are close to you would suffer the consequences of you committing suicide... and that would surely create new problem. One thing for sure is, one thing would always lead to another...there is no such thing as no consequences. Having said this, suicidal thoughts is not foreign to me. I have been battling with it till now. Christian or not...there are universal principals too that apply. Death is for all. Christians do not have something called privilleges in terms of dying nor is there any guarantee that Christians would not die a suffering death just like non-Christians do. However, for a Christian who has placed his or her faith in Christ (being a namesake christian alone do not mean anything), there is a joy and hope that when they go home, they will be with the Lord. For those who have not, well i believe others have answered that. Having said that, committing suicide surely is a sin just like many other sins, (one of the many reasons why i am not doing so). However, to say a Christian who commits suicide would go to hell or not go to heaven or vice versa rests SOLELY upon God. It is not for us to say for sure. The scriptures posted here do not directly point out that "those who commits suicide has hell guaranteed upon them". Meaning, there isnt a direct link...Commit suicide = hell finito. They had other things going on which LED them to take their own life WITHOUT true repentence. Thus they went to hell. Whatever you are facing right now, stay strong. It shall pass...everything WILL pass.
