  1. Ezekiel 37 Ezekiel 37 1 The hand of the LORD was on me, and brought me by the Spirit of the LORD, and made me rest in the midst of a valley, and it was full of bones. 2 And He made me pass among them all around. And behold, very many were on the face of the valley. And lo, they were very dry. 3 And he said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord Jehovah, You know. 4 Again He said to me, Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the Word of the LORD. 5 So says the Lord Jehovah to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. 6 And I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh on you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live. And you shall know that I am the LORD. 7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a noise. And behold, a shaking! And the bones came near, a bone to its bone. 8 And I watched. And behold! The sinews and the flesh came up on them, and the skin covered them above. But there was no breath in them. 9 And He said to me, Prophesy to the Spirit, prophesy, son of man, and say to the Spirit, So says the Lord Jehovah: Come from the four winds, O Spirit, and breathe on these dead ones so that they may live. 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the Spirit came into them, and they lived and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army. 11 And He said to me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, Our bones are dried and our hope is lost; we are cut off by ourselves. 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, So says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, and will bring you into the land of Israel. 13 And you shall know that I am the LORD when I have opened your graves, O My people, and have brought you up out of your graves. 14 And I shall put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. And you shall know that I the LORD have spoken and have done it, says the LORD.
  2. I believe a thread like this also produces fruit that pleases Him. Discussing scripture pleasantly is always good.
  3. My guess, based on the the bombardment of medications they are likely giving him, that the mild kidney failure could be a reversible type caused by any one of the antibiotics, or even antivirals they are likely giving him. But then again, multiple organ failure is common with sepsis. I read somewhere that they were concerned he was beginning to get septic. He already has lung disease, and double pneumonia will likely cause more damage. He could be approaching end stage copd.
  4. I dont think it is playing God, any more than any other medical procedure does such as a pacemaker. Today we have the ability to use viruses to cause genetic changes to cure terminal diseases. Is that too playing God? I do not view it that way, unless you view any type of medical treatment as playing God. One example https://www.yalemedicine.org/news/gene-therapies-sickle-cell-disease Personally from a medical perspective, I see a lot of potential side effects that can be caused by neuralink that I would not want to ever use it myself. As far as using such technology to create superhumans? I think the cost of such things would be prohibitive except for billionaires. Your basic hmo would never pay for it. (For those outside the us, an hmo or ppo are types of medical insurance in the us.)
  5. I had posted that prior to seeing your post on attending a church. Sorry to offend.
  6. Yes. How many times have I heard people say they do not want to go to heaven, that they reject God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit. I have even heard folks say they dont want to go to heaven if their dog cant be there.
  7. Everyone of us is sinful and deserves hell. It is by the grace of God that we can be saved. God knows the hearts of all of us. Trust in the Lord to do what is just. Romans 2:12 For as many as sinned without Law will also perish without Law. And as many as have sinned within Law shall be judged through Law. 13 For it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified. 14 For when the nations, who do not have the Law, do by nature the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law unto themselves; 15 who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and the thoughts between one another accusing or even excusing one another, 16 in a day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
  8. God knows everything, including their hearts. This has been a discussion topic among my family. My husband watched his little sister, barely a few years old, get hit and killed by a truck. At the time, his family were not Christians. So this topic is rather personal. My personal belief, besides trusting in the Lord to do what is just, is that He knows what they would have done as adults, what their hearts are like when young, so He would know what choices they would have made. Some believe there is an age of accountability where kids get a "free pass" until they are considered adults, but I have not found a scriptural basis for that.
  9. Mexico makes big money from the illegals in the us and cartels. They do not want it stopped. Mexico has an app for illegals to get across the border into the us. They used to have maps to help them prior to the app. The cartels siphon off pemex (mexican govt gas company) and sell it. The cartels have taken over avocado orchards etc. The cartels have bounties on law enforcement, military and political leaders unless they are willing to look the other way and accept pay offs. Mexican journalists are threatened and choose their lives so they do not report negative stuff about the cartels. Those who do publish get killed. They have bounties on the heads of various law enforcement leaders in arizona too. Periodically mass graves are found with thousands of people in it. People who were going about normal lives, got kidnapped and forced into making drugs or whatever business the cartels had, then discarded and killed. They included american citizens. Back when the us media wasnt so corrupt, this was in the news a lot. In the "woke" era, you rarely see it unless local sources report it. The cartels own and run mexico despite what the news would have you believe.
  10. How many of you have seen a meteor crater? I have. There is a big one in my state. Barringer crater, also known as meteor crater. Astronauts trained in it. The size of that meteor (the canyon diablo meteorite) was between 100 and 170 feet. It caused one huge crater and lots of damage. It has been years since I visited it so I cant recall how far the damage extended, but it was impressive. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meteor_Crater This meteor that can potentially hit us in 2032 is estimated to be around 130 to 300 feet. I can only imagine how bad that would be. It is in His hands so Im not worried. People on the other hand scare me lol.

  12. First, I appreciate vine abider for his many topics that spark thought on Christian life. I live in an area with many mormons and latin american catholics. Their religions have a strong sense of rules and rituals. I have to admit all of that appeals .... people like structure. But it becomes a work based religion (I can do it myself) and not one of the grace of God. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. Structure means control of one's life. Resting in the Lord, trusting Him, means surrendering control of one's life to Him. Natural mankind does not like to do that. Hope I am making sense. I am pretty tired today lol.
  13. I lived on a native reservation. Far too many of them live without running water or electricity. My father in law had to haul water to his place. These are americans. Why should illegals get benefits when so many americans go without?
  14. But no one knows if that is the book mentioned in the bible or another one that happened to be named the same. Even if it is the same, not all books are God breathed scripture. Trust in the Lord to keep the bible intact with all the books He wanted in it.
  15. I do not believe a person merits a place in the hereafter with the Lord without Jesus. It is the grace of God that we are declared righteous through belief in Jesus. As for those who do not know of Jesus, I trust the Lord knows their hearts and is just. Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. Romans 1:19 because the thing which may be known of God is clearly revealed within them, for God revealed it to them. 20 For the unseen things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being realized by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, for them to be without excuse. John 1:12 But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name,
  16. I think folks forget that the Lord chose the Jews to reveal Himself to the world. He still has plans for the Jews in the end times.
  17. Marriage is a depiction of the relationship between Christ and the church. It is not Christ and multiple churches. It is illegal in the us and many other countries to be polygamous, therefor it is against what the bible tells us, that is to follow the laws of our country unless it violates the law of God. God does not tell us we much be polygamous. Therefore it is not the law of God. I live in an area where mormon cults have polygamy and what happens there is abusive. Women forced to marry (not legally in civil marriage) as young girls, and young men cast out because of competition. The stories that come out of those polygamous towns would make you weep. The first man in the bible to have more than one wife was a murderer. Some set of morals he had. (Lamech, Genesis 4).
  18. You might enjoy this radio station of Messianic music. A lot of the psalms are put to music and played here. https://messianicradio.com/#/
  19. Share where the Holy Spirit leads you to. If you feel led to witness to everyone, do so. Everyone needs Jesus. Pray for their salvation as well, and for the Lord to give you words when you witness. Romans 10:11 For the Scripture says, "Everyone believing on Him shall not be put to shame." 12 For there is no difference both of Jew and of Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call on Him. 13 For everyone, "whoever shall call on the name of the Lord will be saved." 14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without preaching? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things!"
  20. Allah in the koran does not have the attributes of God in the bible. From a previous post I had, reasons why allah of islam is NOT the Christian God. 1) Christians believe that God is spirit. John 4:24 God is a spirit, and they who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth. Islam says God isnt spirit. 2) Our Lord is transcendent and immanent. While both Christians and muslims believe in the transcendence of God, muslims believe He does not interact at all with mankind. We believe God is intimately involved in our lives (immanence). 3) We believe God reveals Himself, not just His law. Islam believes that allah's will is manifested, but not allah himself. Our Lord reveals Himself all throughout the bible. 4) The Trinity. God is God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Islam proclaims allah has no son. 5) Our Lord loves us while we sinners. For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son. While we were yet sinners, He reached out to us in love. Yet for muslims, allah loves no sinner. 6) Our Lord does not want anyone to perish. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness, but is long-suffering toward us, not purposing that any of us should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Islam says allah desires to punish people. 7) How God regards the Jews. The Jews are Gods people. The bible tells us this. Allah of islam hates the Jews. 8) Our Lord is unchanging. Islam believes in the doctrine of abrogation, where allah can change his mind at whim. Our Lord is unchanging. 9) Forgiveness. We are forgiven on the basis of the atoning work of Jesus. His sacrifice (and our acceptance of Jesus) means we are forgiven and reconciled with the Lord. In islam, forgiveness by allah is based on the whim of allah. You have no way of knowing if you are forgiven or not. The only reasonably sure thing is death by martyrdom. Allah of islam is NOT the God of Abraham, not the Lord we believe in. Islam is not an offshoot of Christianity. It is a perversion of worship of the true Lord. (Mormons do not worship the same Lord either. They have changed whom He is.)
  21. As someone who has muslim inlaws, I have read the koran and the hadith. The Jesus described in the koran does not match the Jesus described in the bible. I do pray for the salvation of muslims. I pray for the palestinians and israelis. I do not hate them, but neither do I give the koran any credence. Based on what I read in it, it contains many many contradictions to the bible. So which to believe? The word of God in the Christian bible not the koran.
  22. You lost credibility when you mixed in the koran with the bible.
  23. Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, part of the Trinity of God? Do you believe He died as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins and that belief in Him is the only way to be saved? Do you believe the koran is of equal truth to the bible? Do you believe the gospel of thomas is correct when it claims Jesus says women must become men in order to be saved? @A Freeman
  24. Who is Jesus to you? What do you believe about Him? I ask because you are posting from a "bible translation" that also uses the koran and other books that the king james bible does not have.
