  1. He missed a chance to say "I see you have a buddha statue. I believe in Jesus, let me tell you about Him" My husband and I love middle eastern food. Sometimes we find out that their meat is halal. (For those who do not know, animals butchered in halal are butchered with islamic prayers.) At that point we stop buying meat dishes from them, but we have never demanded refunds and always paid what we owed. We go by the passage: 1 Corinthians 10 25 Eat whatever is sold in the meat market, asking no question for conscience' sake; 26 "for the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness of it." 27 If any of those who do not believe invite you to a feast , and if you are disposed to go, eat whatever is set before you, asking no questions for conscience' sake. 28 But if anyone says to you, This is slain in sacrifice to idols, do not eat for the sake of him who showed it , and for conscience' sake; "for the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness of it";
  2. When people in my state were trying to pass legalizing medical marijuana, the organization behind legalizing it was a george soros group. My first introduction to anything soros did. That told me everything I needed to know about that. For a supposed medical drug, it is dispensed differenetly in my state. Not by pharmacists, but dispensaries that are run by anyone who got a license. There is no standard for it. The media actually got some from different places and had them tested. Turns out many had mold on it or tested positive for pesticides. Now they legalized recreational pot. Lucky us. (sarcasm) My oncologist once recommended cbd oil. I looked it up. Although supposedly thc free, studies showed that different cbd products did contain some small amounts of thc and some folks failed drug tests as a result. Costing them their jobs. Cbd oil also causes liver toxicity. I suffer tremendous pain on a daily basis. I see no reason to use medical marijuana or cbd oil.
  3. Not sure why this is in worthy discussions where only the op and worthy ministers can read it.
  4. I have a red button that says ignore this topic. Do you have that feature?
  5. Everyone has the choice to read or not read a thread, to ignore or not ignore someone. You frequently ignore members and mods on this forum, so why cant people choose to ignore threads of no interest to them?
  6. There used to be a great site that had the kjv and septuagint (in english) side by side. It is no longer available. The most of the other septuagint in english sites do not have psalm 151. This is the one I currently use. https://ebible.org/eng-Brenton/
  7. My favorite changes. Sometimes I like the mkjv, sometimes the esv. When I study I tend to use multiple translations, kjv and septuagint as well as nasb, mkjv, esv etc.
  8. IF they exist??? They exist and they bother people. They are not important in that they are evil and our focus should be on the Lord, but they are important in that they are enemies to us. They are not things I dwell on. I give it a 4 (1 is low, 10 is high)
  9. The so called grim reaper is an official called the surger, whose job, dating back hundreds of years, is to prevent a crowd from surging forward during the coronation.
  10. Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 meekness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 But those belonging to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become glory-seeking, provoking one another, envying one another.
  11. I am not able to post a reaction to my posts. I dont know of anyone on the forums who can.
  12. Just to clarify... Are you saying the bible (in any of its translations) is word of man and not the word of God? Or are you just stating that you are not a kjv only person? Im not a kjv only person but i believe the bible is God breathed scripture, the word of God.
  13. What she said I have always and will always respond honestly to a seeker, adult or child. I also pray and speak as I believe the Lord leads me to speak. In chat, I used to have so many opportunities to talk to children who wanted to know about Jesus. Sadly I dont have many chances any more.
  14. Im surprised no one posted this yet. John 1:12 But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name, 13 who were born, not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God.
  15. We do not know all the details. Has this man been threatened in his neighborhood before? Did the kid scream at the man after he rang the doorbell? Etc. In arizona this past week, a man in a nice neighborhood, during the daytime, with his wife, went to get the mail. A young man, without any motivation, killed him. Really all of this comes down to: evil exists and mens hearts grow cold in the end times. Havent we been seeing this? People kill, assault, steal, without any regard for anyone else.
  16. Sadly there are some who claim one is not a Christian without tongues.
  17. Its late so perhaps Im misunderstanding, but are you saying that Jesus is a created being?
  18. Extrabiblical books. Which ones have value and which do not. Of the ones that are worthy to read, why. I am referring to the so called lost books.
  19. When I got cancer and went through chemo etc, I had chemo fog. Thats where the brain is mentally off, like you are on drugs, incapable of thinking clearly. So I was not able to read the bible steadily. I got out of the habit during that time and for a year after all of that too as I recovered and had to start getting back into the habit again. I read through the bible once every 15 months and also "random" passages that pertain to a situation or what I just feel like reading. For instance, I love to read the psalms and will often read one of them at the end of the day. Shameless plug: I kept omegamans tradition of a year long bible reading plan.
  20. Welcome to worthy. Something you mentioned seems to be a contradiction. You said you have no remorse yet want to go back in time and repent. That sounds like remorse to me. I dont know if you have truly committed the unpardonable sin or not but since you are here i dont think its too late. What do you know or believe about Jesus?
  21. Happy easter! I like the word easter, despite the origins. It brings up many happy childhood memories. I do not forget what today means as far as His death and resurrection.
  22. Here is an online bible you can read. https://www.biblegateway.com/ I dont believe in luck. The bible tells us that not a sparrow falls without the will of the Father, that even the hairs on our head are numbered.
  23. Artificial intelligence is not capable of following the leading of the Holy Spirit.
  24. Ted Pearce's Psalm 23 got me through many a rough time.
