  2. REPORT: Murdered DNC Staffer was Communicating with WikiLeaks posted by Hannity.com Staff - 2 days ago A private investigator hired by the family of murdered Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich is shedding new light into the events that led to Rich's June 2016 death. According to private investigator Rod Wheeler, who is a former homicide detective, evidence on Rich's computer appears to link the slain staffer to WikiLeaks. "The police department nor the FBI have been forthcoming,” Wheeler told Fox 5 in D.C. “They haven't been cooperating at all. I believe that the answer to solving his death lies on that computer, which I believe is either at the police department or either at the FBI. I have been told both.” When Fox 5 asked Wheeler if his sources have told him there is information that links Rich to Wikileaks, he responded affirmatively. “Absolutely. Yeah. That's confirmed," said Wheeler. (Rod Wheeler isn't the only investigator revealing new information on Seth Rich. Fox News is also reporting that a federal investigator has confirmed to them that Rich was indeed in contact with WikiLeaks. Fox reports: The Federal Investigator went on to to tell Fox that Rich was, in fact, the source of the DNC Emails revealed by WikiLeaks.) 3. God continue to bless and keep America in his light. Protect us from our enemies both foreign and domestic. Keep our President and Vice President and their families in your care Lord. Guide our Legislature in the way of righteousness. And our Supreme Court too. America was founded on the principles of Christ's teachings and in the name of God's mercy. Let us never forget we are the United States of America. Amen.
  4. We're suppose to all be one in Christ. It takes an amazing amount of energy to hold animus for someone. Not wanting to air anything in this thread and contradict myself in my other post, please let peace prevail between brothers. Christ died for us. While we can get on one another's last nerve there's nothing that can be so bad that we forget that. As bad as the whole human race was Jesus thought we were to die for so as to save us from our own sins. Can't we save ourselves from our own upset with one another? We don't have to like each other but we are in the same church. Peace. Please God my Father, breathe peace into this place of upset. Amen. (GIGANTIC GROUP HUG available here to all who wish to participate)
  5. Of course it is OK. There is a prayer request board in this community. And there are women and men members who will happen to read the requests there. We are all one in Christ. Welcome to Worthy.
  6. Maybe bring to your friends attention the pastoral letter Paul wrote to the church in Thessalonica. 1 Thessalonians 5. 12.Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you.13 Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. 14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. 15 Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. Notice he isn't saying the men among you. He's speaking to brothers and sisters of brothers and sisters that work hard among them. And he admonishes to not be disruptive, as you said your friend would say wouldn't be a surprise from a man happening on a woman pastor. Instead , Paul told his church to make sure they always strive to do what is good for each other and everyone else. Don't pay wrong for wrong. You won't change anyone's mind who is prejudice against women pastors. If they invoke God as agreeing with them they can abdicate responsibility for segregation that is not of Christ among his church family. God calls whom he will to his service in all things. No one alive can say God agrees with their prejudice. God is no respecter of persons. His word says that too. This may be of help too. Apostle to the Apostles: The Women Disciples of Jesus Shawna R. B. Atteberry
  7. Women Prophets in the Bible God's will calls women to be pastors. We know this because there are successful blessed pastors in this world. None are so blind as those who refuse to see. There is no scripture that says God will never call a woman to prophecy . God called women as prophets but there's a segment of society that thinks God would not call women to preach what had arrived as prophecy fulfilled. That is their error and nothing will move them from it. Not even the truth that Paul's letters were to the churches of the time. His letters to the churches he founded. That is why they are demarcated as pastoral epistles. A pastor's letters to the churches under his management. And even then , Paul wasn't saying women cannot preach. All that has been said time and again and does not bear repeating when it is ignored repeatedly. The mistake the world makes is to imagine God has human faults. God calls women to preach. Those who do not accept that will have to live with that idea that God thinks women aren't able to preach his word after he knew they were worthy of his son dying for their sins. Why argue with those who limit God to their prejudice?
  8. Claiming to know God is watching this thread with distaste is a biting weapon that is used to diminish the ideals of others because they are not in accord with the one making presumptions they can speak for God. This thread is an example in itself of the holy spirit. Some are sealed but how many are empowered?
  9. May I suggest if the two of you have personal beef that PM is the place to go. Not airing in public in this thread.
  10. Being the garden was invoked in this message, with regard to leadership roles, Adam failed miserably in that respect. And due to that caused the downfall of the human race to befall. I think when the scriptures tell us we cannot know the mind of God because he does not think as we do, nor can we think as God thinks, of course, that our prejudices being attached to God and his will is wrong thinking. And further, that we believe God would discriminate against a woman is not evident in the actions of his son who had women in his company. And women who delivered the good news to the world after he ascended to Heaven. Which in those times would be like unto preaching. Just as Jesus did when he gave his teachings. He was preaching. We agree God doesn't think as we do, because we say that's what scripture says. Then we argue God discriminates like we do and that isn't in scripture. That's a little odd I think.
  11. The Bible we know today, the Canon of scripture, wasn't compiled in Paul's time. Before his conversion Paul, known as Saul, Paul being the Greek translation of his name, was a Jewish Pharisee who traveled the lands and persecuted, oversaw the execution, of the first Christians. Which were Jewish converts who were deemed apostate for turning from the Jewish faith. Saul held the cloak of the apostle Stephen as he was stoned to death. Being a Pharisee Paul was very well educated and legalistic. The scripture he spoke of being inspired by God was the Torah. Not what is our Bible today because it did not exist. There is a great deal of information on how the Bible was compiled. How we arrived at the Canon, which means it is closed scripture determined as the last time God will deliver his revelations to the earth's people, is also available on-line. This may help start you out. I hope you enjoy. NOVA
  12. Here's a bit of wisdom someone in another thread shared that may help deal with dark motives that you happen upon on the net. to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people.Titus 3:2 (English Standard Version)
  13. Forgive me, I don't understand what you're trying to say there.
  14. I don't think it has derailed. I think it has progressed to flesh out the word itself, misogyny,as pertains to women in the pastoral seat. As was said early on in this thread, opposing women in ministry isn't necessarily a symptom of misogyny but it can be a component in an individual who is a misogynist.
  15. Goose stepping? Will we change our minds about Trump with enough verbal abuse, pejoratives, and innuendo's thrown at us do you think? The left invoking Godwin's law in media was a horrible tactic. Especially being there is zero similarity between Hitler and Trump. Trump was elected.
  16. There's a resistance group on Twitter. Anti-Trumpers are on Twitter. They can certainly be persuaded to protest Trump. Did you hear? Now there's talk of treason surrounding the made up Russia stuff. Obama gave the Iranians the capacity to go nuclear and they're an enemy of our country and he's making millions for his future memoir. Lies are being told about Trump and there's now talk moving from Impeachment to Treason. The angry left. And if Trump is out of office it is still a Republican that will take his place. They should be embarrassed. All that these leakers in the WH, and the anti-Trumpers, and the resistance. They should be embarrassed at the depths to which they're plunging.
  17. And yet that's not everyone's experience. There is nothing that says God would not call a woman to pastor. If it is believed women aren't to be in leadership positions over men, I wonder how many men here who believe that would quit their job if their boss or supervisor was a woman? There are administrators of Christian forums that are women. With male moderators under them. A woman ran for office in the last election. Are we to believe not a single male Christian cast a vote for her?
  18. That's what preachers do. That's what's being argued by some that they are not able to do. Due to their sex.
