If that's what you need to see go for it. That's a first for the garden story. If that's how you need to see it to think women are less than when God said we are all one in Christ in the new testament you should maybe read the new testament and pray to see things the way Jesus meant them to be seen. And gave his life to bring a new testimony to replace the old (testament) vision. Cleaving to that was why the Sadducee and Pharisee's wanted Jesus dead. Blasphemy! False claims that he used demons to heal, etc... Jesus knew where their heart was. And he called them what they were. Then he died to deliver his Father's new testament to the world. Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. That is what God told Paul to tell the world. Paul's letters to his churches, as the article says, and with references to sustain the fact, were Paul's commands not God's. And for a reason. Paul would be contradicting God if he said, we are not all one in Christ. There are Jews, Greeks, bond, and free, male and female. We are not all one in Christ Jesus. But that isn't what he said. Now, after Paul was beheaded for his dedication to the truth of God, sacrificed for giving his life for the truth, there are those claiming the name of his savior and saying, Paul got it wrong when he wrote the letter to Galatia church. When it comes to the gender, the sexes, that's where we stop being one in Christ. Like I said, those who have been in service to God for centuries, female and male, demonstrate it is God's call. Not yours. Tell God he's wrong. Tell God you're going to take his word and refute what he said about gender equality. Meanwhile, the world moves on with women in power in politics and women in the pastoral seat in church. Those who God calls are called by God. Those who call that wrong are second guessing the one who delivered his word as to our identity in Christ. It was unity. Not division. Division was what troubled the world before Christ. We're the elect. How on God's earth could we then be divided because of our God given sex? We're all one in Christ Jesus. Those who say we're not? When God calls a man to preach we are not one in Christ when it is argued God will not call a woman too. -

PlanetChee replied to PlanetChee's topic in Defense of the Gospel
And those women who have been in service to God leading churches, missionary work, and anything else God calls them to are in his service. Because God is using them to help save the world from the sin that damns. It is almost if not idolatrous that there is a desire to make God into the image of a fallen mind that see's division by gender in the church. It will quote Paul to forward that false teaching, but ignores Paul when he says there is no male or female, we are all one in Christ Jesus. Cherry picking verses to make God's word comport with gender bigotry is literally a damned shame. And as I said, it is God's call, not anyone elses. Those who would think to say every woman serving God as pastors and other roles he's called them to are wrong are to be prayed for. Because they are not only wrong but calling God wrong for having called those women over the centuries to serve. That's a hubris that does rightly sound like what you recalled into this thread. Lucifer himself. He knew better than God too. He was very wrong. As he found out when his pride went too far. -

Yes, but the sexist drivel at this point doesn't realize itself. And that fact that it is a repeating sin is a tragedy for those sinners who claim Christ. -

Thank you for pasting that here. That has been an argument put forward by those opposed to God's calling women to serve. If you too look around you'll see there are a lot of threads already discussing this subject. I didn't know how many when I thought this Charisma News article would be informative. Which it is. Just not to those who are opposed to God calling women into his service. But that's OK because it is God's call not theirs. Blessings, -

I think we all hope to understand the original message in the original writings that delivered Christ's message through his disciples. The new testament was written in Greek originally. Being Jesus was a Jew as were his disciples that has always been something curious for me. Why Greek and not the Hebrew? We seek to know the words of our Lord who is The Word that began everything that is. I have no problem with learning through lexicon's and what other resources are available. We're students for all of our lives I believe. Learning what God wants to tell us about the essence of ourselves. Born of him in the beginning of it all. Those called by God are blessed and once arrived at that calling that causes us to renew ourselves through the promise we are never the same again. That is my personal testimony and feeling about it. That is why I find it heartbreaking when I see sisters and brothers, son's and daughters of the power within all things, the Father that created the first whisper that called his name without knowing fully what was there to hear, being maligned as unworthy of holding the mantel of his only Son about themselves by the judgment of those who make the accusation of unworthiness with dark motives and venomous tongues. Thinking that by that example their standard is qualified to be called his. And they are righteous in levying judgment on any other as not one with God. Because they don't approve how those son's and daughter's read the word, confess their relationship, or agree with their witness and understanding of the scriptures. It is repugnant and that is unholy. And I do not apologize for finding it so. Because people of Christ do not represent the prince of peace and the Father behind all love with the antithesis of those righteous qualities. But when they try they show where they are on the path. And who they are and are not. We should not be hated upon in this community dedicated to love of the Lord God. Because God is love not animus. God knows his own. And those that think to second guess his calling of any one openly are then subject to the same judgment as they levy judgment. And that's just the way I see it. -

Nor are you by your standard of accusal toward a new member. Maybe looking to see the long term of presence those making accusations by their standard of judgment, while abdicating a standard of righteous example, would show you of whom certain of us are speaking and exposing as intent on bringing discord to this board. -

I've heard this mentioned in other forums and on air last year. If we want to win this war against terrorists in Islam we have to be as ruthless as they are. One way to do that is to use the superstition that gives them the inspiration for their evil against them. Jihad , holy war struggle, is the duty of every Muslim when they think they're attacked by an enemy. The reason ISIS and other terrorists acting out in the middle east give for their wickedness, and amazingly enough those supposed westerners also give for it , is the western culture entering into traditional Muslim nations to exploit the resources and corrupt their people with our values. That then meets the criteria according to the Koran to retaliate with a holy war. Islam doesn't have a salvation clause. Every Muslim that dies doesn't go to "Heaven", which they call Paradise. That only happens if Allah permits them in. However, there's a catch. Of course. If a Muslim perishes in Jihad, the holy war on behalf of Allah and defense of his values, they are martyred. And that gives them guarantee of access to paradise. Where all those things that Allah forbid to them here are to be enjoyed to excess there. How does that make sense? But what an impetus huh? You don't go to paradise unless or until you're martyred in the holy war! Then it is a sure thing and you can glut till the cows come home on alcohol, pork, women, honey, all those things you could enjoy here, and all those things that were Halal, forbidden, here. But there is a catch there too. The martyr is blocked from entering paradise if they somehow enter into the forbidden, or are contaminated by what is halal at the time of their death as a martyr in Jihad. Or after, as in their body. In that case they go to hell instead. Right where they belong. One way to insure that martyr doesn't enter paradise but hell instead? pigs! Pigs blood in fact. Or pig skin. Anything pork. Because swine is forbidden, or halal, to the Muslim in this life. Unless of course they have no other way to sustain their life and then they are allowed to eat pork. This is why the U.S. military in the trenches fighting terrorist Muslims, as well as other members of the executive branch, as in police in America, and all those nations allied with us in the battle against Islam around the world, should have bacon-bits as a standard issue in the field. Now, the dead Martyr won't know it of course. But let it make news that the body, bodies, or what's left in the case of explosive suicide terrorists, have been desecrated with pork after their terrorist act, and that does send the message to the rest of the Muslim terrorists that there's nothing to celebrate in that persons dying. Which does happen as we know when the news reports Muslim countries people cheer the latest terror episode. Instead, let the news be that so and so, the latest Muslim terrorist who attacked such and such, wad defiled with pigs blood on what's left of their body, or pork bits in their mouth, with the express intent of sending their soul to Jahannam. Which in Hebrew translates first to Gehennom. Our last President would never do such a thing, order this, outfit our troops and police, because he was Muslim. And I do believe aligned with the ISIS agenda. But this President I believe sure would. Fight the enemy using their own superstitions as a weapon against them. Because an enemy with nothing to lose and paradise to gain if they die in their campaign against the west is a formidable enemy. Cut down their reason, their reward after life for their evil, and send a message to the whole bunch. You may be a murdering terrorist aligned with a death cult but you'll not see paradise if you commit your body to be sacrificed to kill innocent people in the name of your impotent god . That needs human terrorists to fulfill his will on earth.

Well said. And thank you for sharing your experiences here too. I think discernment allows our members to realize what is happening. Fifteen year old threads being revived to continue the crusade intent on diminishing members of choice faith are noticed. As are twelve year old threads revival. God's mercy and strength empower your journey little lamb. 1 Thessalonians 5 5 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. 12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; 13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves. 14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. 15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. 16 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 19 Quench not the Spirit. 20 Despise not prophesyings. 21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. 25 Brethren, pray for us. 26 Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss. 27 I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren. 28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. King James Version (KJV) Public Domain -

President Trump isn't baited by such tactics as this. His years in the trenches as a developer in New York insure that. He's a leader. Which cannot be said of Un. Though I do think this upstart will likely bring something upon himself for thinking he can rattle his rockets and threaten the most powerful nation on earth and her allies. Which appears to include China taking sides with the west and not being that impressed anymore with the unstable mind of north Korea's leader.

Amen? You give blessing to what is reported there as destruction to a people? When in reality you would have to consolidate that out of context excerpt that is not speaking in the way you hope against women leaders, with those scriptures in the OP and the linked article, that show God and his Angel also in one passage, appointed women to be in leadership over men. Even those who claim those women were Deaconesses were still in leadership over men. And that then rebuffs what is claimed by some about the new testament pastoral letters Paul sent to Corinth. Instructing that women should not speak in church. In reality, the truth and full context of Isaiah 3 is not what you hope. http://www.myjewishlearning.com/article/isaiah-31-15-a-commentary/ -
When I see military personnel in uniform I thank them for their service. Respect and deep appreciation for those alive means a great deal too . While memorial day breaks my heart and reminds me that freedom comes at the highest cost. Once I said to a man with many stripes on his fatigues, thank you for your service. He turned and said, thank you but I'm just a mechanic for the fighter jets, I've never been in combat. Without hesitation I told him, I thank you anyway because you serve and keep our soldiers in the air. He had every right to be appreciated. And God be with him. God be with all who serve. And God's mercy embrace all who have died in service to everything we have and all that many of us take for granted. Never realizing how much it cost so many.

Jeff declined to answer my query for him to elaborate on what he means when he speaks of "authority over men". Therefore we'll continue without the elaboration. "but NEVER over men, with authority, as if authorized by YHWH or His Word, no, never." Never? Samson's mother was given authority over Samson's father Manoah by God and his angel. The narrative in Judges chapter 13 reveals this. 3. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son. 4 Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing: 5 For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines. 6 Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name: 7 But he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death. 8 Then Manoah intreated the Lord, and said, O my Lord, let the man of God which thou didst send come again unto us, and teach us what we shall do unto the child that shall be born. 9 And God hearkened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came again unto the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah her husband was not with her. 10 And the woman made haste, and ran, and shewed her husband, and said unto him, Behold, the man hath appeared unto me, that came unto me the other day. 11 And Manoah arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said unto him, Art thou the man that spakest unto the woman? And he said, I am. 12 And Manoah said, Now let thy words come to pass. How shall we order the child, and how shall we do unto him? 13 And the angel of the Lord said unto Manoah, Of all that I said unto the woman let her beware. 14 She may not eat of any thing that cometh of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: all that I commanded her let her observe. 15 And Manoah said unto the angel of the Lord, I pray thee, let us detain thee, until we shall have made ready a kid for thee. 16 And the angel of the Lord said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou must offer it unto the Lord. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the Lord. 17 And Manoah said unto the angel of the Lord, What is thy name, that when thy sayings come to pass we may do thee honour? 18 And the angel of the Lord said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret? 19 So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the Lord: and the angel did wonderously; and Manoah and his wife looked on. 20 For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the Lord ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground. 21 But the angel of the Lord did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the Lord. 22 And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God. 23 But his wife said unto him, If the Lord were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt offering and a meat offering at our hands, neither would he have shewed us all these things, nor would as at this time have told us such things as these. 24 And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the Lord blessed him. 25 And the Spirit of the Lord began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol. Judges 4 and 5 report of Deborah. Who did have authority over men. Because she was the leader of all of Israel. Judges 4 4 Now Deborah, a prophet, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading[a] Israel at that time. 5 She held court under the Palm of Deborah between Ramahand Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites went up to her to have their disputes decided. Judges 5 features the song of Deborah. Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying, 2 Praise ye the Lord for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves. 3 Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto theLord; I will sing praise to the Lord God of Israel. 4 Lord, when thou wentest out of Seir, when thou marchedst out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water. 5 The mountains melted from before the Lord, even that Sinai from before the Lord God of Israel. 6 In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, and the travellers walked through byways. 7 The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel. 8 They chose new gods; then was war in the gates: was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel? 9 My heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless ye the Lord. 10 Speak, ye that ride on white asses, ye that sit in judgment, and walk by the way. 11 They that are delivered from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall they rehearse the righteous acts of the Lord, even the righteous acts toward the inhabitants of his villages in Israel: then shall the people of the Lord go down to the gates. 12 Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam. 13 Then he made him that remaineth have dominion over the nobles among the people: the Lord made me have dominion over the mighty. 14 Out of Ephraim was there a root of them against Amalek; after thee, Benjamin, among thy people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer. 15 And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; even Issachar, and also Barak: he was sent on foot into the valley. For the divisions of Reuben there were great thoughts of heart. 16 Why abodest thou among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? For the divisions of Reuben there were great searchings of heart. 17 Gilead abode beyond Jordan: and why did Dan remain in ships? Asher continued on the sea shore, and abode in his breaches. 18 Zebulun and Naphtali were a people that jeoparded their lives unto the death in the high places of the field. 19 The kings came and fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money. 20 They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera. 21 The river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. O my soul, thou hast trodden down strength. 22 Then were the horsehoofs broken by the means of the pransings, the pransings of their mighty ones. 23 Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the Lord, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the Lord, to the help of the Lord against the mighty. 24 Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent. 25 He asked water, and she gave him milk; she brought forth butter in a lordly dish. 26 She put her hand to the nail, and her right hand to the workmen's hammer; and with the hammer she smote Sisera, she smote off his head, when she had pierced and stricken through his temples. 27 At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down: at her feet he bowed, he fell: where he bowed, there he fell down dead. 28 The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? why tarry the wheels of his chariots? 29 Her wise ladies answered her, yea, she returned answer to herself, 30 Have they not sped? have they not divided the prey; to every man a damsel or two; to Sisera a prey of divers colours, a prey of divers colours of needlework, of divers colours of needlework on both sides, meet for the necks of them that take the spoil? 31 So let all thine enemies perish, O Lord: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years. King James Version (KJV) Public Domain Then there's 2nd Samuel 20. And the civil leader and wise woman of Abel Beth Maacah. Then of course there are the new testament women. Mary, Mary Magdalene, Martha. And let's not forget Peter's prophecy after Pentecost. Acts 2 (KJV) 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And there's Paul's letters to the church at Corinth. Revealing God's Holy Spirit imbues people with His gifts regardless of gender. Of course. 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. King James Version (KJV) I give this synopsis from an article entitled: Bible Women with Spiritual Authority There are many more women listed in that article with scripture to support. I don't know about "another one". But I do agree. Let's see if people accept what the Bible says about women being vested by God with His spiritual authority. Anything else would be, what? -

I found this article linked at Charisma when reading an article about someone else. Charisma News Article Linked Phoebe was a woman leader for whom Paul had great respect as is borne out in the language he used to describe her. The power of his words is lost in our English translations but is very obvious in the Greek (Rom. 16:1-2). In fact, an argument could be made from Paul's own words that Phoebe had once functioned in a pastoral-type role toward him. Phoebe Was a Minister In Romans 16:1, Paul refers to Phoebe as, "A servant of the church in Cenchrea." The English word "servant" in this passage is misleading. It is from the Greek word diakonos and should be translated as "minister." Indeed, diakonos is translated as "minister" in 23 places where it is used of men, including Paul, Barnabas and Apollos (1 Cor. 3:4). In this one place where it is used of a woman, these same translators chose to use the word "servant," a clear example of their bias (Hyatt, Paul, Women and Church, 26). Diakonos does literally means "servant" but became a word for Christian leaders as a result of Jesus using it in response to the request by James and John for special seats of power in His kingdom. Jesus replied that whoever wanted to be great must become a diakonos, that is, a "servant." From that declaration of Jesus, diakonos became a common designation for Christian ministers, highlighting the servant character of Christian leadership. The well-known evangelical theologian, E. Earle Ellis, wrote: Diakonos is used frequently in the Pauline letters for those who exercise ministries of teaching and preaching. The title is given to Paul and to a number of his associates who are active on a continuing basis as traveling missionaries or as coworkers in local congregations. In terms of modern function, it best corresponds to the modern designation "minister" (Hyatt, Paul, Women and Church, 27). Designating Phoebe as a diakonos shows that she was a "minister" from the church in Cenchrea who had been sent by that church to Rome on a special assignment. Paul recognizes her as such by using the same word for her that he uses for himself, for Barnabas and for Apollos.
