  1. Welcome here you can discuss with bible smart people and possibly make new friends, hope you like it here!
  2. it is not so much a question of simply if God calls you to go to a bar or jail but rather that you have grown enough in spirit to do any good in such sin sick places that makes the difference because God may lay it on your heart to want to help such people come to God but you must be weary of the enemy's snares for Satan can call you as well, and if you go to such places you must not partake of what is being indulged in as well as that you can stand firm for God in truth,so first know where you stand "spiritually" because remember there were those in the bible whom thought that they could handle casting out demons, but alas they couldn't because they had not grown in the spirit as I recall the demons spoke on this wise"I know paul I know peter, but who are you?" and afterward the demons humiliated them by disrobing them and scaring them away, the same principle is applied with bars and jails you must have more than just faith for helping people whom are confounded or in deep despair or of a reprobate mind, you must grow in spirit by reading the bible alongside the holy spirit, learning what is written, and knowing what is true, for if one goes to where sin is and trouble abounds, then ye know that you will be asked many a tough question or even some shall say snide remarks, trying to discredit your mission for God,one must be able to answer such questions and speak up against such stumbling blocks, for you must always realize that when going to a place of sin, hatred, and despair, that there will be those who shall desire you to looketh a fool, and those as well who shall not believe as you do,and so thereby it shall be difficult to reach them, and of course know when to speak and when not to speak, leave this to God to decide when you shall speak or not,for some if not many shall be as clams not willing to open themselves unto you for fear of what they do not know,as well as having hardened hearts because much has befallen them or have asked much of God,and cannot see how God hath helped them or even see if God exists,so do not run in haste to such places of sin, hatred, and despair, before knowing first that you have grown enough in spirit and truth,to be capable of suffering such places for the purpose of bringing a soul to God,but also be sure to know whom calls you,God or the devil,to do this think on this wise, does the calling urge you to do something in haste and urge you to buy or partake of something that you know you shouldn't? if this is the case then the devil hath called you so do not answer his call, does the calling urge you to be patient, compassionate, and urges you to not buy or partake of something that you know you shouldn't? then God is calling unto you, answer his call if ye be ready, for the difference simply put lies in what you are being urged to do if it be something easy and sinful then it is not of God,if it be something difficult, yet not sinful and is helpful to God,then it is of God,as you walk with God in time ye shall know whom calls you, what you can handle according to your spirit, and where ye are to go,have faith in God and God's word, and seek "Truth" "Love" and "Compassion" and ye can serve God knowing what you enter into and in what manner you are to serve God.
  3. and whom said that works get you saved? Not I,you assume so is all, being saved is all about humbleness toward God,asking God to save your soul(the most personal conversation you may ever have with God and is not about exact words)because you realize you need him, then accepting Jesus as your saviour, because you realize that he died for your sins, which is not any form of "work" when you do so,it is being hunble and sincere toward God,and accepting Jesus,God's only begotten son,as your saviour, which is not any "work" as well as that "baptism" is not a "work" it too is another form of humbling yourself to God,because you are further showing God that you desire to do more for him as well as that you believe that you become a new creature after being saved by God and baptized into Jesus's death, thereby accepting grace and forever willingly becoming God's servant,I say "willingly" because if any are so foolish to force anyone to be saved or baptized then they do wrong by God because each individual must make their own decision as to if they will ask God to save their soul,or even be baptized, because if the individual's heart is not in,desiring either of these, then neither is of use to the individual, because a soul is not saved by works nor ceremony, and baptism without faith is just water.
  4. well the simple but correct answer is"NO" anyone who kills their self,is not about to go to heaven whether they are "Christian" or not is irrelevant, because for starters it is written"thou shalt not kill" which includes not killing yourself,(a commandment) also if one is a "Christian" how can one be for God or Christ and "willingly" kill themself??? When you are "Truly" willingly Saved and baptized, you are forever in God's hand and cannot be plucked from his hand,so clearly any person who wants to take their own life is not Saved nor for God to begin with, for think on it,God gave us "Life",Jesus died for our sins so we could "live" and yet somehow a person can go to heaven by taking away such a "life" intentionally? Nay,because God will not allow such a thing when you are his of a certainty,to think otherwise is only because people would rather believe a lie than the"Truth"(God's Word) and nearly noone is willing to admit that anyone in their family, has gone to Hell because of such a foolish action, because noone wants to hurt people's feelings,True I don't either but as Paul put it in a letter,"I apologize if this offends you,but I do not apologize for telling the truth",it's one of the "Truths" we all must face no matter how it makes us "feel",if any doubt this see for yourself in the bible for it is written"murderers shall share the second death" it doesn't say only those who are not Christians it says "murderers" and to kill oneself is still "murder" just renamed by man as "suicide",and even in logical terms the question can be posed, how can anyone ask God for forgiveness when you kill yourself?,because once you are dead you can't ask for forgiveness.so how can anyone possibly receive heaven after such foolishness when you have no possibility to apologize afterward?(if your attempt follows through)
  5. Well as it is written"to be a friend of the world is to be at enmity(WAR) with God" so simply do not value this world and it's wiles, above God or Heaven,in order to quote"not love the world",this does not mean you cannot have possessions nor does this mean you cannot quote "like" possessions but when you "love" them or "the world" over God whom made the world and made it possible for anyone to have "possessions",to do so would be"idolatry" as well as going against God.
  6. well in my bible(KJV) Jesus said to forgive seventy times seven as opposed to other versions of the bible's seventy seven times, But either way the point is that we are to forgive others as God has forgiven us,the number isn't as important as how much God desires us to forgive each other,so that we can "love our neighbors as ourselves" and not dwell on the past but look forward to our bright future with God as it is written..."anyone who tilleth the ground and looketh back is not fit for the kingdom of heaven".
