I've read the books .The little horn persecutes the saints who are in Christ . They have already received the Messiah and they follow him. 25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. You believe these Jews dont know the lamb but the truth is they are following the Lamb of God.They choose to let themselves be persecuted and they don't try to save their lives. They have already received the gospel. Mathew 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

No he's not. He is talking about the king of the north in Daniel 11.He is described as a vile man .Not a spirit. Paul even calls him a man.
-
A city can do the same
-
I haven't seen the city referd to as a spirit . Revelation 17:28 The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.” I normally refer to it as a city or even the country the city is in or the people of that city.

I didn't say anything about a theme park, but if you want to call it that, then that's on you.
-
If you want to believe end time prophecies are not about end time ,that's fine by me. I simply answer the question ,who is king of the south.I understand it by watching the prophecies being fulfilled that pertain to the king of the north and south.

Nothing you say is in context There is no king of the west here.None. 36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. 37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. 38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. 39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain 40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. 41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. 42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps. 44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many. 45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. He in verse 45 is the same he in the previous verses.A child could understand that this is speaking of he king of the north.

Paul was not taking about mystery Babylon at all. He's talking about a leader of them who come in Jesus name and decieved many .People who claim to be in Christ. Mystery Babylon is a place .It's referd to as a city.
-
Everything you quote I've already memorized. Your problem is you can't understand because you can't keep a single verse in the context of the message The main character of Daniel 11:36-daniel 11:45 is the king of the north. And you are never going to understand who he is even though he has already appeared because you can't keep anything in context.
-
So you are agreeing with me that Paul did not refer to mystery Babylon? Thank you
-
Op said Paul referd to mystery Babylon. That wasn't Paul. That was John. Revelation 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

PS The forth kingdom is being destroyed in these verses. It is being obliterated and Rome will probably go untouched. Daniel 11 41 He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand. 42 He will extend his power over many countries; Egypt will not escape. 43 He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt, with the Libyans and Cushites[e] in submission. 44 But reports from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many.

The question in the topic was who is the king of the south .I stated that it is assyria- Iraq and the reason for it is because of the previous wars between the king of the north and the king of the south in Daniel. Rome has not invaded Iraq. The United states has twice.
-
Paul didn't call it mystery Babylon.
-
Assyria-Iraq Because of the previous wars between the US and Iraq.

Trump is the man offering Israel peace and safety. He doesn't give Israel a host till 2025 though.

Doug said Daniel 11:45 is about a king of the west .Not east.Stop changing directions. Look closely at the subject of all these verses. The subject is the king of the north. 39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain. 40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. Think about when you were in grade school and your teacher asked you who is the subject of this story. You would have been able to answer this in grade school.

If Rome is the forth kingdom upon earth, then why do the saints mentioned below inherit the promised land located in the middle east, and not Europe located in the north? 19 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; 20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. 21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; 22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. 23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. 24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. 25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. 26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. 27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. Here they are in the everlasting kingdom which no one can overthrow. Revelation 20 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. 7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. Since when is the beloved city,Rome?

All of Daniel 11:36-45 is about the king of the north. Show me where Daniel says anything about a king of the west here.

Daniel didn't change the subject. But you are trying to. Show me where Daniel says anything about a king of the west. Daniel 11 40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. Try not to take one verse out of context this time.

The ten horns are the same as the ten toes. The little horn dwells in the same kingdom as the ten horns .But he is different than the ten and he appears to be more stout, than his fellows.
-
The little horn is the Israeli government and it's little country The saints in Israel will be persecuted by the Israeli government. Then the Israeli government will be destroyed and everyone in Israel who did not believe the gospel. Then that land is given to the saints which were persecuted and killed for their testimony of Christ and for the word of God .The promised land is given to them for an everlasting possession and they shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with Christ over the nations in the Lords land. The little horn was attempting to change laws before this war .I expect he will resume after it. A host will be given to him ,and the persecution begins.

So you believe the king of the north who dies in 11:45 starts to reign in Daniel 12:1. That's silly. How can the son of perdition reign after he's dead ? Daniel 11:45 And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him. This man of sin dies when Christ comes just as Paul wrote in 2 Thes 2. 2 Thes 2 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Christ then raises the dead in Daniel 12:2
-
Scripture shows Jesus coming and raising the dead in Daniel 12:2. Daniel 12:1-2 And at that time Michael the great prince shall stand up, that stands over the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of tribulation, such tribulation as has not been from the time that there was a nation on the earth until that time: at that time thy people shall be delivered, even every one that is written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to reproach and everlasting shame. Or are you saying Jesus doesn't come and raise the dead in Daniel 12:2? Do you believe someone else is calling the dead out of their graves in Daniel 12:2? What makes you think Jesus returns 1335 days after the resurrection,?

According to Daniel 12,All these things are completed in 3.5 years highlighted below. Daniel 12:7 The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time. When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.” Are you saying Daniel is wrong?
