    What Is Repentance?

Repentance = change mind Mot just make a different decision, but change your mind. Out with the old mind, in with the new mind. Stop relying on yourself to save yourself, depend solely on Jesus for your salvation and any thing else you want from God. He who spared not His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things. Romans 8:32

    Good Deeds

Good works are profitable. I think the conflict comes in when some people/denominations just can't accept that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. The Gospel offends them. They think there must be something they have to do be saved besides just believe. They call just believing "easy believism" or they will quote James and say even the devils believe. Believing that He exists and trusting Him for salvation are two different things.
  3. The number one sin in the church would be to let a nutty Buckeye through it's doors. lol Seriously, the number one sin IMO is a lack of prayer.
  4. I am hoping this is the correct forum. I would like serious discussion on 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Most of the Christians I have encountered have said this verse is for believers saying they need to confess there sins in order to reinstate there fellowship with God because when they sinned it was broken. Or some others say believers need to confess sins in order to get there salvation back because when they sinned they lost it. And if they were to die without having all there sins confessed they would go to hell. My personal belief is that 1 John 1:9 is for unbelievers to confess that they are sinners then they can become born again. You can't be born again unless you admit you are a sinner first. What do you guys think?
  5. We are saved by grace alone through faith aloneand because we are righteous we will do good works. We have been justified apart from the works of the law of Moses. So, the big question is will not obeying the law make me unrighteous?I believe the answer is no, here's why. There is no doubt that sin is defined as breaking God's 10 Commandments. But we see David saying in Psalm 32, "Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity,"Then in Psalm 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.Then we have John the Baptist saying in John 1:29," Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."Also Hebrews 9:26 but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. So thanks to Jesus our sin is not an issue. In 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 we see that we are New Creations, and He does not impute our sinsto us, and He makes us righteous, even the righteousness of Christ, which is perfect.

    John 6:44 question

John 6:44 says No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. Calvinist's believe this is saying that the Father chooses who to draw so they will get eternal life. And it really does look like that, but I believe that interpretation conflicts with other Scriptures like 1 Timothy 2:5, 2 Peter 3:9 and John 3:16. What do you guys think?

    Just introducing myself

First of all I would just like to say I am glad I heard of this place. Another new member told me about it. I absolutely love Jesus, my LORD and Savior. I look forward to good discussion about God's Word.
