The kingdom of God/Heaven is the gospel - and it is only through obedience to the commandments of the gospel that a person may enter into the Kingdom of God for this is a spiritual realm. Luke 4:43 but [Jesus] said to them, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well; for I was sent for this purpose.” Luke 17:20 Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, 21 nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.” John 3:5 Jesus answered, Amen, Amen, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 3:6 What is born of the flesh is flesh; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. 3:7 Marvel not that I said to thee, Ye must be born from above. 3:8 The Spirit breathes where he wills, and thou hear his voice, but know not whence he comes, and whither he goes: so is every one born of the Spirit.

Well you may have done in your eyes, but you are wrong. The parable is about how people receive (or not) the word of God - the gospel of salvation. When disciples go out and preach the full gospel of salvation - ye must be born from above by water baptism and baptism of the Holy Spirit and these signs shall follow those who believe - quite often the words of life do indeed fall on stony ground and "when they should hear, straightway comes Satan, and takes away the word sown in them." I have seen this happen many times right before my eyes when I have been witnessing to people. Mark 4:5 And other fell on the rocky ground, and where it had not much earth; and straightway it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: 6 and when the sun was risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, withered away. - Oh how true this is. So many converts who have received the indwelling Holy Spirit and speak in tongues do give up and return back into the world, or worse go back into worldly churches. Usually over being "offended" by other saints or offended in obeying the commandments of God to walk worthy. Mark 4:18 And others are they sown among the thorns; these are they that have heard the word, 19 and the cares of the age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. - Here is another great truth about the cost of discipleship revealed by our Lord Jesus on how disciples can be overcome by the world and its distractions. Mark 4:8 And others fell into the good ground, and yielded fruit growing up and increasing; and brought forth [unto] thirty and [in] sixty and [in] hundred. - Sadly only a few (one in four) bear good fruit [the fruit of the Spirit and being fruitful unto the gospel]. Matthew 7:13 Enter ye by the narrow gate: for wide and spacious is the way that leads unto the destruction, and many are they that enter thereby. 14 Because narrow the gate, and straitened the way that leads unto the life, and few are they that find it.

2Cor 11:14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. I remember the testimony of a former Muslim man who came to the Lord and was born from above by water and the Holy Spirit with the evidence of praying in tongues. He had a vision of Jesus after he started to pray about the truth of God - the gospel versus the Koran. He started to pray for God to reveal the truth of salvation to him. One day while praying a bright light came towards him (a vision as his eyes were closed whilst praying) and claimed to be from God. He demanded to know from this light if this was from the true God of salvation - and wonder of wonders that bright light buzzed off and disappeared. Then afterwards another bright light appeared and he had a vision of Jesus who spoke to him saying that he would send someone to witness to him about the gospel.

John 12:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. 12:25 Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

Mark 4:10 And when he was alone, those around him with the twelve asked him about the parables. 4:11 And he said to them, “To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside everything is in parables, Mar 4:12 so that “‘they may indeed see but not perceive, and may indeed hear but not understand, lest they should turn and be forgiven.’” 4:13 And he said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? 4:14 The sower sows the word. 4:15 And these are the ones along the path, where the word is sown: when they hear, Satan immediately comes and takes away the word that is sown in them. 4:16 And these are the ones sown on rocky ground: the ones who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy. 4:17 And they have no root in themselves, but endure for a while; then, when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately they fall away. 4:18 And others are the ones sown among thorns. They are those who hear the word, 4:19 but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. 4:20 But those that were sown on the good soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.” Jesus is tallking about the preaching of the gospel of salvation that they and also future disciples would preach to the unsaved (yes even today). Not all who believe persist and endure to the end. 1Cor 3:6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. 3:7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.

Mark 4:1 Again he began to teach beside the sea. And a very large crowd gathered about him, so that he got into a boat and sat in it on the sea, and the whole crowd was beside the sea on the land. 4:2 And he was teaching them many things in parables, and in his teaching he said to them: 4:3 “Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4:4 And as he sowed, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it. 4:5 Other seed fell on rocky ground, where it did not have much soil, and immediately it sprang up, since it had no depth of soil. 4:6 And when the sun rose, it was scorched, and since it had no root, it withered away. 4:7 Other seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no grain. 4:8 And other seeds fell into good soil and produced grain, growing up and increasing and yielding thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.” 4:9 And he said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” Jesus is teaching the multitude about the word of God - about the gospel of salvation that would come.

You are playing games. Scripture is the answer to your questions; and scripture is clear and forthright on those being born from above by water and Spirit shall speak in tongues. Believe the word of God for yourself. -

How do we define born again of the spirit

What does scripture, the word of God, teach us all ?? John 3:5 Jesus answered, Amen, Amen, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 What is born of the flesh is flesh; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said to thee, Ye must be born from above. Joh 3:8 The Spirit breatheth where he willeth, and thou hearest his voice, but knowest not whence he cometh, and whither he goeth: so is every one born of the Spirit. Mark 16:15 And he [Jesus] said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation. 16 Who hath believed and is baptized shall be saved; but who hath disbelieved shall be condemned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that have believed: in my name shall they cast out demons, speak with tongues; Acts 2:4 And all were filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all that heard the word. 45 And they of the circumcision that believed were amazed, who came with Peter, because that on the nations also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, 47 Can anyone forbid the water, that these should not be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit as well as we? Acts 19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper regions came to Ephesus, and found certain disciples: 2 and he said unto them, Whether ye received the Holy Spirit when ye believed? And they said unto him, Nay, we did not so much as hear whether there is a Holy Spirit. 3 And he said, Into what then were ye baptized? And they said, Into the baptism of John. 4 And Paul said, John baptized a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe unto him that should come after him, that is, unto Jesus. 5 And when they heard this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. 1Cor 14:2 For who speaketh in a tongue speaketh not to men, but to God; for no one heareth; but in spirit he speaketh mysteries. 1Cor 14:14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. -

Yes it is true in scripture and in real evidence by those who believe and are converted. "The truth shall set you free" is the testimony of Pentecostal Christians who are able to give witness to the dramatic changes in their lives and circumstances from when they received the Holy Spirit and spoke forth in tongues. For myself that very Sunday afternoon when I was praying to receive the Holy Spirit I burst out in tongues and I received a mighty revelation about Jesus being my God and Saviour and that the word of God that I had believed is truth. Also instantly without any withdrawal pangs I was miraculously healed from decades of cigarette and marijuana addiction, along with being set free from my intravenous use of amphetamines [speed]. God healed my kidneys from their bleeding and went on to heal my smoker's lungs. When I understood that continuing to drink alcohol was a stumbling block I let go of this and Jesus healed me from any desire to drink any alcohol. To pray in tongues is to pray in the Holy Spirit and to yield unto God. Our carnal minds are set aside and the Spirit of God prays with our human spirit directly to God, to the throne of grace, without hindrance or limitations of our limited thoughts and honesty. When I pray in tongues the Spirit prays the whole truth about my walk, my 'hidden' sins, my circumstances and needs. Nothing is not revealed to God. And when I finally do get around to confessing my wrongdoings, my shortcomings that I have become lazy about, I pray in the power of the Holy Spirit and these issues are miraculously cleansed from me and I am 'recalibrated' or reset back to being diligent in my walk with God. -

YES because this is scripture and the birth of the Christianity is Pentecostal. Pentecostal Christians of today enjoy the same gospel as the first church - repentance from dead works; water baptism by full immersion with a confession of faith for the forgiveness of past sins; and baptism in the Holy Spirit with the Bible evidence of speaking in tongues. Same today as it was in the beginning. Acts 11:13 and he reported to us how he had seen the angel standing in his house, and saying, Send to Joppa, and fetch Simon, whose surname is Peter; 11:14 who shall speak unto thee words, whereby THOU shalt be saved, and all thy house. 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them, even as on us at the beginning. 11:16 And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, John indeed baptized with water; but YE shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision that believed were amazed, who came with Peter, because that on the nations also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit. 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Also in the operation of the voice gifts in our church meetings [done in full accordance with 1Corinthians 14] tongues followed by interpretation, and also up to three gifts of prophecy - God himself explains much about the spiritual language [tongues] that is given when a convert receives His Spirit and the purpose of this powerful prayer language that avails much. 1Cor 14:2 For who speaketh in a tongue speaketh not to men, but to God; for no one heareth; but in spirit he speaketh mysteries. Jesus himself said that signs would follow believers and that they would speak in tongues. -

Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and who seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it is being opened. 11 And of which of you that is the father shall the son ask a fish, and he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or again shall ask an egg, will he give him a scorpion? 13 If ye therefore, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall the Father who is from heaven give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? -
How do we define born again of the spirit

A person must repent and submit to the full gospel and be baptized in water confessing their faith for the forgiveness of their sins AND also be baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues [praying in the Holy Spirit]. John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, Amen, Amen, I say unto thee, Except one be born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born being an old man? can he enter a second time into the womb of his mother, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Amen, Amen, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 What is born of the flesh is flesh; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said to thee, Ye must be born from above. 8 The Spirit breatheth where he willeth, and thou hearest his voice, but knowest not whence he cometh, and whither he goeth: so is every one born of the Spirit. Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, [Men] Brethren, what shall we do? 38 And Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized each of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him. 40 And with many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying, Be saved from this crooked generation. Act 19:7 And they were in all about twelve men. -
Does anyone personally know any prophets?
Waggles replied to TreeFivew's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
The gifts of prophecy are part of the Spirit-filled church and are to be operated decently and in order as outlined in 1Corinthians 14. While various members of our church do operate the voice gift of prophecy none of them would label themselves as a 'prophet' for the gift is dispersed amongst those who most often operate the other voice gifts > tongues and interpretation. 1Cor 12:27 Now ye are Christ’s body, and severally members thereof. 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then powers, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, kinds of tongues. Ephesians 4:11 And HE gave some as apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers; 4:12 for the perfecting of the saints, unto a work of ministry, unto a building of the body of the Christ: 1Cor 14:3 But who prophesies speaks unto men edification, and exhortation, and consolation. 14:4 Who speaks in a tongue builds up himself; but who prophesies builds up the church. 14:5 Now I would you all to speak in tongues, but rather that ye prophesy: and greater he that prophesies than who speaks in tongues, except he interpret, that the church receive edification. 1Cor 14:29 And let prophets speak by two or three, and let the others discern. 14:30 But if a revelation be made to another sitting by, let the first be silent. 14:31 For ye all can prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be exhorted; 14:32 (and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets; 14:33 for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace), as in all the churches of the saints. And this is how we do it in my Pentecostal church according to the word of God. -
As I do also read books on the subject and know that the ten tribes of Israel are not lost, but are the nations to who salvation was delivered at the expense of the unbelieving Jews.

Like I wrote opinion is only worth a pinch of salt.

That is extremely naïve and fails to appreciate history. Rome does rule the world - politically through her children the nations of Europe and her children in the New World. She colonized much of the world directly, and remains numerically and in wealth the largest and most powerful worldly church of all. Theologically - the corruption of the full gospel of salvation with her numerous blasphemies and false doctrines concerning the power and authority of the papacy over the word of God and the worship of Roman Catholic saints and false miracles. Even the Reformation failed to restore Protestant faiths back to the original Pentecostal gospel of baptisms of water and Spirit. She made war against the saints and martyred millions to keep her power and the holy scriptures hidden from being read by the masses outside her priesthood. Mystery Babylon - the historical inheritor of all the ancient religions opposed to the truth of the one God of creation and salvation - the God of Moses and the prophets - from Nimrod to Babylon; Egypt; Greece; Rome; paganism and the occult. Rev 17:4 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality. 17:5 And on her forehead was written a name of mystery: “Babylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth's abominations.” 17:6 And I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. When I saw her, I marvelled greatly. Rev 17:9 This calls for a mind with wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated; Rev 17:18 And the woman that you saw is the great city that has dominion over the kings of the earth.”

That is wishful thinking. Germany is not a great power and is about to be economically destroyed by foolishly kowtowing to the maniacs of Washington in placing numerous economic sanctions on Russia. When Germany cannot or will not pay for her oil and gas in Russian roubles then her economy will stop. The German government is a coalition of left and right parties held together only by their opposition to Angela Merkel and the Christian Democratic Union. Once inflation and stagnation cripples living standards in Germany with rationing of food and energy Germany, like other members of the E.U. and NATO, will also suffer severe political protests and violence. When the gas stops then Germany will stop [and freeze].

Opinion is only worth a pinch of salt. When it comes to the "Lost 10 Tribes of Israel" and also to British Israel there are whole libraries of academic scholarship and historical studies on these two topics. Biblical prophecy upholds this as well. Genesis 48:13 And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel's left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel's right hand, and brought them near him. 48:14 And Israel stretched out his right hand and laid it on the head of Ephraim, who was the younger, and his left hand on the head of Manasseh, crossing his hands (for Manasseh was the firstborn). Genesis 48:18 And Joseph said to his father, “Not this way, my father; since this one is the firstborn, put your right hand on his head.” 48:19 But his father refused and said, “I know, my son, I know. He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great. Nevertheless, his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his offspring shall become a multitude of nations.” 48:20 So he blessed them that day, saying, “By you Israel will pronounce blessings, saying, ‘God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh.’” Thus he put Ephraim before Manasseh. U.S.A. a republic in 1776 [the elder son, Manasseh] The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland > 1801 with the Union Jack flag [the younger son, Ephraim which became a multitude of nations > the British Empire > the Commonwealth of Nations]. Genesis 49:16 “Dan shall judge his people as one of the tribes of Israel. 49:17 Dan shall be a serpent in the way, a viper by the path, that bites the horse's heels so that his rider falls backward. That is prophecy concerning the Nazis and others who deemed Jews to be of the tribe Judah (Juden) and marked them out for extermination. A plan instigated by satan in an attempt to thwart the rebirth of a Jewish homeland.

Rev 18:7 However much she glorified herself, and waxed luxurious, so much give her of torment and mourning: because she saith in her heart [that], I sit as queen, and am no widow, and shall in no wise see mourning. 18:8 Therefore in one day shall her plagues come, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire; for strong is the Lord God who judged her. 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who committed fornication with her and lived luxuriously, shall weep and wail over her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, 18:10 standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
-
You are fantasizing about history. Revelation is descriptive of the fall of Rome and the Roman Empire, but then her revival through the Papacy and the Holy Roman Empire. It is the Roman Catholic church that has made war against the gospel and the saints through history. It is Rome that will be nuked (Rev 18) most likely by Russia.

Any stories of Spirits gifts of miraculous powers
Waggles replied to Ervin P's topic in Gifts of the Spirit
Yes it is wonderful and uplifting to experience the power of God working through His church - the body of Christ. W also have thousands of testimonies to healings and miracles. It is what the gospel is all about.
