  1. War Drums: Could Proud, Arrogant USA Get Sucker-Punched by Russia, Iran, and North Korea? (trunews.com)
  2. The issue is Genesis 1 compared to Genesis 2. And your rambling reply indicates in the end you cannot on scripture alone teach that Genesis 1:26-31 is the same "story" as Genesis 2:9 and following. In Genesis 1 human beings, plural, male and female are created and told to be fruitful and multiply. In Genesis 2 a single man is formed from existing material and is alone for a season then a woman is formed from his flesh. Different words in the original Hebrew are used in these verses. I also notice that you continually refuse to reply to the questions and challenges that I have posed to you (and others) who believe that Genesis 1 and 2 are equivalent. So how did all us different humans "evolve" from Noah's family??
  3. Because you are not reading scripture verbatim and learning directly from the word of God. You are applying doctrinal glasses and looking at scripture with preconceived learning from Roman Church teachings. Why MUST Adam be the first man on Earth? Adam is formed not created and placed in a garden separate from other human beings. here he interacts with God and yet He and Eve still listen to the voice of rebellion and fall. From this comes the wonderful plan of God coming into the world through a lineage descended from Adam to the Jews to bring about redemption of our souls. Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned— this does not mean physical death but spiritual death and a denial of living into eternity WITH God. Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is mine: the soul who sins shall die. And again the analogy of Eden is applicable today with sinners being born from above by the will of God, and having a personal relationship with God by his Spirit. But just as Adam and Eve disobeyed and lost the promise of eternal life IN the garden with God so to the ekklesia are continually tempted and tried by the serpent to disobey their calling and lose their reward.
  4. Genesis 4:13 Cain said to the LORD, “My punishment is greater than I can bear. 14 Behold, you have driven me today away from the ground, and from your face I shall be hidden. I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” 15 Then the LORD said to him, “Not so! If anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the LORD put a mark on Cain, lest any who found him should attack him. 16 Then Cain went away from the presence of the LORD and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden. [Sumer??] 17 Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. When he built a city, he called the name of the city after the name of his son, Enoch. Note all of this occurs before the birth of Seth - there are no other children or siblings mentioned in Genesis 4 (other than Abel). Genesis 4:25 And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and called his name Seth, for she said, “God has appointed for me another offspring instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.” Note also before the birth of Seth that in the land of Nod and in the city of Enoch, there appears to be a supply of women to marry ... Genesis 4:19 And Lamech took two wives. The name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.
  5. Genesis 3:19 By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” 20 The man called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all living. 21 And the LORD God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them. There is no scriptural teaching here that Eve was in particular the mother of all humans who would ever live in the world. This may well be a reference from Adam that she would be the mother of all those who would live to be the descendants (genealogy) of Adam. Gen 5:3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he fathered a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth. 4 The days of Adam after he fathered Seth were 800 years; and he had other sons and daughters. 5 Thus all the days that Adam lived were 930 years, and he died. Are you upholding biological evolution and claiming that the diverse racial types of human beings that dwell on the continents (bar Antarctica) evolved from just two people in a mere 6,000 years? And then again all the racial types of humans evolved again and rebuilt their cultures and civilizations after Noah's Flood in just 4,000 years?? So when did the Chinese peoples become Asian peoples? And when did the native peoples of the Americas become a distinguishable racial type or variant? And when did the peoples of India and Pakistan become the racial type that they are?
  6. You present a false dilemma. It is not what you write. God created human beings, male and female, and instructed them to be fruitful and multiply: then God rested from all his works and this period of rest allowed human beings to grow in numbers and to fill the world. At some stage in all of this there was a rebellion and a trespassing of the laws governing the roles of angels who were also present in the world. For when Adam and Eve were formed and separated from other humans and placed in the garden to have a direct personal relationship with God their Creator - "Lucifer" was already in existence and was determined to ruin the holiness of Eden. Luke 10:18 And he [Jesus] said to them, I beheld Satan fallen as lightning from heaven. Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?” This story is indicative of the gospel and the Spirit-filled church today. Where the saints who are baptized in water and the Holy Spirit with the Bible evidence of speaking in tongues, are called out of the world and separated and consecrated by God for a direct personal relationship with God. And still today the adversary of fallen angels tempt the saints to fall.
  7. Yes I have Ezekiel 28:11-19 teaches us much about the adversary, the satan, "Lucifer" who was the shining being in the garden of Eden. And can you share with the rest of us the relevance of this in respect to Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 ??
  8. Genesis 2:1 And heaven and earth and all their array were finished. 2:2 And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and he sanctified it, because on it he rested from all his work of creating that there was to do. 2:4 These are the generations of heaven and earth when they were created, in the day that Yahweh God made earth and heaven— 2:5 before any plant of the field was on earth, and before any plant of the field had sprung up, because Yahweh God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was no human being to cultivate the ground, 2:6 but a stream would rise from the earth and water the whole face of the ground 2:7 when Yahweh God formed the man of dust from the ground, and he blew into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. 2:8 And Yahweh God planted a garden in Eden in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed. 2:9 And Yahweh God caused to grow every tree that was pleasing to the sight and good for food. And the tree of life was in the midst of the garden, along with the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. 2:10 Now a river flowed out from Eden that watered the garden, and from there it diverged and became four branches. 2:11 The name of the first is the Pishon. It went around all the land of Havilah, where there is gold. 2:12 (The gold of that land is good; bdellium and onyx stones are there.) 2:13 And the name of the second is Gihon. It went around all the land of Cush. 2:14 And the name of the third is Tigris. It flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates. 2:15 And Yahweh God took the man and set him in the garden of Eden to cultivate it and to keep it. 2:16 And Yahweh God commanded the man, saying, "From every tree of the garden you may freely eat, 2:17 but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die." 2:18 Then Yahweh God said, "it is not good that the man is alone. I will make for him a helper as his counterpart." 2:19 And out of the ground Yahweh God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky, and he brought each to the man to see what he would call it. And whatever the man called that living creature was its name. 2:20 And the man gave names to every domesticated animal and to the birds of heaven and to all the wild animals. But for the man there was not found a helper as his counterpart. 2:21 And Yahweh God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man. While he slept, he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh where it had been. 2:22 And Yahweh God fashioned the rib which he had taken from the man into a woman and brought her to the man. 2:23 And the man said, "She is now bone from my bones and flesh from my flesh; she shall be called 'Woman,' for she was taken from man." 2:24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall cling to his wife, and they shall be as one flesh. 2:25 And the man and his wife, both of them, were naked, and they were not ashamed.
  9. No - Genesis 2 is a different story that takes place after God rested on the seventh 'day.' When Adam was created angels had already trespassed and fallen.
  10. No not at all. Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. H1254 בּרא bârâ' Gen 2:7 when Yahweh God formed the man of dust from the ground, and he blew into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. Gen 2:8 And Yahweh God planted a garden in Eden in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed. H3335 יָצַר yâtsar Two very different words because two very different processors were employed by God. Also worth noting is that Genesis teaches us that Adam was formed after God rested on the seventh "day."
  11. Well that is one way of reading Genesis, but from this flows many problems: the sequence and description of creative events in Genesis 2 does not line up with Genesis 1; and the problem for YEC of where did Cain procure a wife? Incest with a sister!! That the great diversity of human beings on six continents all evolved from just two humans. And again from the family of Noah in just 4,000 years!! And I thought Darwin was a heretic.
  12. Yes a very good point for your speculation certainly does not.
  13. That is adding to scripture and also a pretty poor speculation at that. The word of God does not state that God created another "sun" before he created the Sun and the Moon. God said "let there be light." When the Sun of our solar system is created God said - 14 ... Let there be lights in the vaulted dome of heaven to separate day from night, and let them be as signs and for appointed times, and for days and years, Also the speculation is nonsensical for if God created a ball of burning gas - a star in the first 'day' - then it would make sense to create our Sun from the beginning as the pivotal point for all further creation of the solar system. Let there be light is a declaration by God that the Creator is now present to begin the process of time in the universe and for our world.
  14. ????????????? Genesis 1:26 And God said, "Let us make humankind in our image and according to our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of heaven, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every moving thing that moves upon the earth." 1:27 So God created humankind in his image, in the likeness of God he created him, male and female he created them.
  15. called to be saints - the elect - the ekklesia - those sanctified and consecrated by the Holy Spirit - justified before God this again signifies the original gospel and discipleship of the first church - a Pentecostal ekklesia - wherein ALL were baptized in water and in the Holy Spirit with the Bible evidence of speaking in tongues. Remember at this time there were no Roman Catholics, no Orthodox, no protestants, no evangelicals, no JWs, no mormons, no other alternatives were tolerated. One faith, one gospel, one baptism, one way - Pentecostal. Romans 8:9 But YE are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that God’s Spirit dwelleth in you. But if any hath not Christ’s Spirit he is none of his. 8:10 And if Christ is in you, the body is indeed dead because of sin; but the spirit is life because of righteousness.
  16. Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Luke 24:30 When he [Jesus] was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed and broke it and gave it to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And he vanished from their sight. 32 They said to each other, “Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?”
  17. It would be helpful to identify which Bible version you are using. Please continue ...
  18. that is going to spoil a lot of Christian permissiveness.
  19. Which translation version are you using here? - I like it.

  21. Read the gospel of John where there is more information about the giving of the promise from the Father - the Holy Spirit > living water > the Comforter > the Spirit of truth. Read Acts - for here the "born from above" Christian discipleship > the ekklesia > the saints begin. Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, [Men] Brethren, what shall we do? 38 And Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized each of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him. This corresponds to what Jesus was telling Nicodemus about being born from above by water baptism and by Holy Spirit baptism. Keep reading Acts for in here is the teaching of the Bible evidence - the sign - that disciples receive that they have truly been baptized in the Holy Spirit - speaking in tongues. All the epistles are written to the Pentecostal Spirit-filled ekklesia of the NT for guidance, exhortation, edification and our comfort. Saint Nick
  22. Galatians 5:16 But I say, Walk in Spirit, and ye shall in no wise fulfill the lusts of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary one to another; that ye may not do what things ye would. 18 But if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are: fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, wraths, factions, divisions, heresies, 21 envyings, drunkenness, revelling's, and the like of these; of which I forewarn you, as also I did forewarn, that they who practise such things shall not inherit God’s kingdom. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness 23 gentleness, self control; against such there is no law. 24 And they of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts. 25 If we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also walk. 26 Let us not become vainglorious, provoking one another, envying one another.
  23. Mark 16:15 And he said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation. 16 Who hath believed and is baptized shall be saved; but who hath disbelieved shall be condemned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that have believed: in my name shall they cast out demons, speak with tongues; 18 and in their hands they shall take up serpents, and if they drink aught deadly, it shall in now wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And THEY went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed.
  24. Acts 2:36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know surely, that God hath made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified. 37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, [Men] Brethren, what shall we do? 38 And Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized each of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him.
  25. Yes it is of the indwelling Holy spirit - the power of God transforming your heart and mind. Becoming a new person walking in love and manifesting fruit of the Holy Spirit in your life. But the expression "born again" is a poor choice of wording - rather Jesus was talking about being "born from above" by the Holy Spirit. John 3:3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The Spirit breathes where it wishes, and you hear its voice, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
