Retired from teaching math to young people a couple years ago, I'm now reveling in having the time to work out, eat better and generally read whatever I want.  I've lost forty pounds since then.  

I've been making a garden for about 25 years.  Last year I finally got my garden in shape enough to put it on a Garden Conservancy tour for the first time.

I've been married for 34 years to a lady who used to teach art but now just makes and exhibits her work.  My undergraduate degree was in philosophy and graduate degree in education.
