  1. I no longer understand your train of thought, so will not comment. I think we talk of different things and circumstances.
  2. we do not know that. With God all things are possible.
  3. Did you follow up our suggestion previously and get some professional counselling? I ask because, if you genuinely are at a loss, you may need to consider that you have Dissociative Identity Disorder and are unaware of what your alter persona is doing, and being told. Otherwise this doesnt add up, as no pastor would make such a huge edict for no reason, with no explanation, and while refusing to explain - and for it to happen twice with different pastors and churches. Have you been to other churches between these pastor and churches? If so, what happened there? If I remember rightly, you are in your 30's or 40's - is that right?
  4. How would you feel if the pastor wrote a public review about you and state why your access to some of the church activities has been restricted? This may be a different church than from before, but there seems a pattern here of restriction from different pastors. I wonder why? What reason was given for the restrictions?
  5. How does the Geneva bible differ from the KJV in accuracy?
  6. forgive me, but isnt that yet another mans interpretation of prophecies? Better to read, pray, read more, pray again and ask Holy Spirit to heal our past teaching and open our minds to God Word again. Write down what was taught and any questions, then ask and make time for the Gret Teacher to teach us himself, I think. I have friends who have been in cults and are still battling the previous teaching. I recommend my above paragraph, not more reading of mans books or videos from others, at least to begin with until their learning is on a sure footing from God, and only if God leads them to such writers.
  7. Well, The Lord rained down brimstone and sulphur on Sodom and Gomorrah, didnt he. Fire from Heaven indeed.
  8. as a Jewish person, much of the history and words of 'Christians' has been the breath of my upbringing. My walk to Jesus was hard. Even now, some consider me a traitor and I am not welcome. I try to explain the difference between Christianity and Born Again Christians. Is a work in progress.
  9. Did my sarcasm in my comment not come through. I was being sarcastic about how badly wrong some churches get the history of the Jews, and then use that as a basis for hatred and antisemitism. I think we understand each other now. I will try to post clearer with my inflections.
  10. OK, nope, repeating what you said doesnt help. I will pass on this post subject with you. English can be hard sometimes. I feel we may be talking across one another somehow. Peace to you.
  11. sorry, I dont understand your point. I may be misunderstanding. Are you saying that not caring that the Jews were killed in 70AD and being glad they died is OK by churches?
  12. because its just about a bunch of Jesus hating Christ killing Jews so who cares if they died in horrible ways!!! (yes, sarcasm and sadness in tone for that) There is much anti-Semitism in some churches even now : (
  13. It is not your time to be taught to make sense of it yet. God has other uses for you for now. Blessing to you.
  14. I understand the point your are making. I just happen to disagree with you that this is what is happening on Worthy.
  15. I am sad you think it is of no profit, going by your choice of Bible quote. I think it is of profit, as the word is sifted and examined, looked at by many sides, and the truth gets shaken out eventually. Maybe not acknowledged truths in the thread, but truth is shaken out during prayerful consideration of bible verses and points raised. Sometimes looking at an opposite view brings for the correct understanding. We do not see the lighted candle in bright sunlight, but we see it clearly when surrounded by darkness. The shadows around bring the truth into sharp focus. Debates here, on the whole, are not the type of things spoken of in that Bible verse you quote. Finding the light of truth is very important.
  16. I am reading the longer posts. The deeper and/or more complex points to be made, or fuller explanations needed require longer, more detailed posts. The meat of the Word sometimes needs a lot of slicing and chewing!
  17. is there confusion here between asking if you want to post controversial issues in regular parts of the forum, and if you want to post in the 'Controversial' section of the forum?
  18. would you mind expanding on this please? I am a seeker and learner, but not a learned theologian, as I understand the term. I will never be as clever as some on here.
  19. actually, personally, its the opposite. I read, I see different sides, I pray, I look up scripture, I pray some more, I learn. For those like me with no church to go to, this site is a God send for deeper study of scripture and learning more about God. Many of my wrong ideas have been put right by the efforts of those 'arguing'. Even the one who I come to disagree with.
  20. Yes. I understand the distinction. Thank you.
  21. Ok, they are definitions of types of love. What is your definition of love itself and what that entails, what is involved in showing love.
  22. absolutely agree. But they are not Holy Spirit inspired Gods Word. They are supplemental information.
  23. They are like fans who write supplemental books and articles (to use an example of a genre, no insult is intended) .They may mention parts of the original novel, they may have the same or similar characters, but they are merely human non-inspired additions of human thoughts and experiences around the original. I do not mean made up or untrue, I mean the sort of additional things others write, their own experiences, but not written by the original author. I hope you understand my meaning.
  24. Dont assume what I would or would not do. You do not understand about vocation. Thats OK.
