  1. Well I don't know what you're really saying here. Yes I made a comparison to a woman having a baby just simply to point out that... The "1" time not "2" that we are reborn (born again) would be a decent comparison 2 a mother having a child that can't go back into her womb. That is our first birth with Christ as our savior and it can't be undone.
  2. I appreciate you being in here with me like this. I'll get into some more about the works/ fruit that you see in a true believer later. I'm sure we'll agree on quite a few things and maybe not on some but there's nothing wrong with that we just need to talk about it anyhow. I was hoping that you didn't mean that you can just willful sin and be happy with it because that would hurt my heart. ? You were talking about the heart surgery that happens and you're absolutely right there is a change. You desire the things of God.
  3. Indeed! I believe the scriptures, not opinions. I hope it becomes clear that this isn`t about "me", in any way shape or form.
  4. Okay, for the next phase of the "eternal security" study. Let me reiterate that if you can`t discuss "nicely" this study isn`t meant for you. It isn`t about who thinks they are right. It`s about the Bible and understanding it the way it`s meant. The first part will not be about the "CLEAR" scripture that talks about works as a Christian. That will come later. It WILL come however. Initially, I`m simply putting scripture up that will be the foundation of the study. *John 10:27-29 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. "I" give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father`s hand *Romans 11:6 But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace *Ephesians 1:13 In Him also, when you heard the word of truth , the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption 0f those who are God`s possession -to the praise of His glory *Romans 11:29 For the gifts and callings are irrevocable [not able to change, final] God never says in His word that we have to promise never to sin again in order to receive the gift of salvation. He requires only "1" thing, to believe. Eternal life is not centered on "our" promises, but God`s. Based on Christ`s faithfulness, not ours. John 3:16 mentions "eternal life". That means forever, unchanging. God`s grace +our faith=eternal life Jesus`s sacrifice was enough, PERIOD! When Christ died for our sin`s...how many of them were future to Him? ALL OF THEM The timing of our sin is irrelevant from Christ`s perspective When our birth Mother`s had us, we were born, nothing could EVER change that. We certainly couldn`t become unborn, could we? It`s impossible to reverse a birth! Okay, that`s all for this session. Let`s digest this together. Please remember that this can be constructive and even fun if we let it be. If you become angry reading this, there could be a pride issue that you need to deal with. It`s the beautiful word of God and we "GET" to discuss it anytime we choose. What a blessing. I won`t respond to mean spirited posts.
  5. There's plenty is scripture that will say otherwise. Not there yet, but if anyone who calls themself a Christian and thinks it's okay to willfully sin, they need to do a while lot more Bible study. It's impossible for a Christian to be okay with living in sin
  6. Thanks, I don't believe as you will ultimately find out, that anyone has a license of any kind to freely sin. I absolutely hate sin. My desire to do good things, right things, are very strong. ?
  7. I'll be posting more all along. Hang in there. ?
  8. Okay, this is going to be my opening statement on what will ultimately be a lengthy, thorough study on what the Bible teaches on Eternal Security. As a human being, of course there will be SOME opinion involved. However...it is NOT my intention for ANYONE to focus on that part, but rather the Biblical aspect, where my personal opinion comes from. I don`t claim to be a scholar of ANY kind. I just know that the Bible wasn`t written for only a select few to comprehend [only the REALLY smart ones]. No, it`s for dummies like me too haha. I hope some of you will follow me in this study with ONE hope in mind...to REALLY understand the scriptures as they are meant. I can promise you there are probably equal amounts of scripture that people use to believe OR not believe in Eternal Security. I was once on the "other" side of what I believe to be the truth now. I was sort of like Paul, ONLY in the fact that he thought he was right when he was persecuting the Christians. He therefore stood strong for what he believed...until he had an unexpected encounter from God that straightened him out. I, too would argue my point with passion, but being immature at the time, also with frustration and even anger. I couldn`t stand the thought of someone not "getting" my point of view. Those days are gone thank the Lord. It isn`t important that people see things MY way or that I`m right for that matter. It`s not about me. I just wanted to put this out here so that you guys could see where I`m coming from and decide if you want to go on this journey with me. I hope that you will! Know this...I only want this to result in all things positive. We learn to discuss nicely. We learn that we really do need to step back and actually listen sometimes. We learn that God only has "1" truth, tho often resulting in MANY interpretations. I hope this study brings us closer together as brothers and sisters in Christ. I do NOT expect everyone to see eye to eye on this. I just ask that we have the utmost respect for God`s word AND one another.
  9. That's what I said, and was very clear about it being Biblical interpretation. I would never suggest any other
  10. Very well put! Thanks for chiming in. ? I can remember when not so long ago I felt the need to be right... it was so important to me. And when you're going through that and it's happening to you, you don't see it the same as you do when you're looking back at it. You could not have told me at the time that I was doing anything wrong. I look back now and I'm like shaking my head. But that was part of my spiritual growth. I know that I don't have to be right now but at the same time I have the right to share my thoughts in a peaceful loving way. Where it didn't so much matter if I hurt somebody's feelings before It really really matters now. It may happen sometime accidentally but I sure never want it to. I prayed specifically for big Love and I'm just telling you that's exactly what God gave me for other people. Be careful what you pray for. ?
  11. This will not be deep, however....it will eventually lead to a study I`m doing and THAT will have much more depth. For now, I pray that this shallow message will at the very least help us to always be mindful of how we discuss things. ☺️ To NOT be confused about the Bible, we must remember one VERY important thing. ***SCRIPTURE INTERPRETS SCRIPTURE*** We SHOULD all agree that our opinions mean very little when it comes to proper Bible interpretation. We HAVE to go by the word of God for accuracy. When there SEEMS to be a contradiction, there IS a proper interpretation, we just have to use other scripture to get there. There can`t be more that "1" truth!!! God is NOT the author of confusion. 1 Cor 14: 33 We may NEVER come to full agreement on certain issues. That`s okay!!! We can discuss it further when we get to heaven. ☺️ I believe it`s VERY important that we don`t make a brother or sister feel terrible because they believe differently than we do. We won`t have gotten it 100% right when we get to heaven [sorry, it`s true?]. We`ll "finally" learn the full truth as it was meant. Let`s agree to disagree "nicely".
  12. For some of life`s most enjoyable things, exceptional talent isn`t required...like writing this simple poem, just hoping SOMEONE get`s inspired [haha] There are MANY who really have a talent in this field...but then again I make furniture, and not EVERYONE can build [?] I just try and bring a smile for those who have a hard time doing so, I would do this more but I`m always on the go [?] I guess humor is my favorite thing to write about, it`s fun...and hopefully someone will read it and feel better when I`m done I think we all know life has PLENTY of serious moments that really aren`t all that pleasant sometime...so I throw together some encouraging words, that just happen to rhyme [haha] When you`re feeling kinda down or just maybe really tired...read my poem, knowing exceptional talent isn`t required ?
  13. Glad the poem did what it was intended to do. ?

  18. I TEND TO LEAN TOWARDS LAUGHTER, BUT TIME FOR YOU TO MEET THE OTHER SIDE THERE IS ALSO DEEP WITHIN ME DARKNESS THAT I CAN`T ALWAYS HIDE THEY CALL IT DEPRESSION, I CALL IT HELL IT DISRUPTS EVERYTHING I DO, I JUST WANT TO BE WELL IT`S ROBBED ME OF MY JOY, AND TURNED MY SMILE INTO A FROWN I CHOOSE TO NOT LET IT RESIDE, BUT TURN THE DARKNESS AROUND I HAVEN`T ALWAYS BE ABLE TO, I JUST DIDN`T KNOW HOW I REFUSE TO LET IT DESTROY ME, I KNOW WHAT I HAVE TO DO NOW BE A VICTIM OR A VICTOR...IT`S UP TO ME WHAT I KNOW ISN`T BASED ON WHAT I FEEL, I KNOW THE "TRUTH" YOU SEE YES, IT`S REAL AND CAN GET VERY UGLY...SOME NEVER MAKE IT THRU I`M NOT SUGGESTING DENIAL, BUT TRUST THE HOLY SPIRIT INSIDE YOU, I DO HE`S NEVER FAILED TO RESCUE ME AND TURN MY DARKNESS INTO LIGHT HE TAKES THINGS THAT ARE TERRIBLY WRONG, AND YES HE MAKES THEM RIGHT I`VE LEARNED TO TRUST HIM IN MY DARKEST MOMENTS...HE`S THERE I KNOW HE`LL NEVER LEAVE ME, AND I KNOW HE`LL ALWAYS CARE
