OOOOOOH struck a nerve. Sorry.

I went to church last night, once again ignored social distancing. We sang praises and worshiped together. One of the minsters last night told us of a minister in North Carolina that has challenged the Governor there who has forbidden groups gathering. He advised the Governor that he was having church at his home, that the home would be over crowed with a large attendance and social distancing would be ignored. He told the Governor to please call the police so that he could file a law suit against him for unlawfully arresting him against the right given him under the constitution. He told the Governor that he would be glad to call the police for him if he wanted. He reminded the Governor that a year ago that he had refused an order by the Governor that went against the constitution and that if the Governor remembered that he cashed the check the Governor had to issue when the Governor lost the case in court. So he told him, we can do it again. He had service this past Sunday, no police came, but a large group did to worship with him. Also he has had thousands of friend requests on Facebook.

Actually it is those of us in the first group that angers the ones in the second.

The enemy that has risen up against our nation, the enemy that seeks the removal of our freedom and liberty is the same enemy that has stood against truth and justice over time. The names and faces of the enemy may change but the spirit of darkness and evil that moves them remains the same.

Don't ignore the facts, use caution, but live, dance, sing, enjoy life, fall in love or stay in love, enjoy children, enjoy the companionship of other people, enjoy nature in all of its beauty. That is what I do and will continue to do. If people want to stay in their home, fine. But if you don't want to be judged for that then lets don't judge those who don't. That way we can both enjoy life, you in a more confined space and me in a much larger one.

Sweden has a population of 10.18 million and oh know, there has been 16004 cases, it is a pandemic! 0.0015721021611 percent have gotten the virus.
-
Whenever light and truth is stated and courage defined, it is uplifting, sorry you don't find it so.

Don't think you are crazy, fearful perhaps, but not crazy. There is a virus out there but lockdowns are unnecessary. The numbers seem to scare so many people, but people have lost perspective. I will remind, once again, look at the world population, look at the population per nation, look at the death rate... an estimated 56 million people die each year in this world. Death is a fact, it is something each faces in life. When you consider the amount of deaths from other causes this virus pales in comparison. We can't quit living, we can't just hide in our homes! Too many act like chicken little, the sky is falling! the sky is falling!

I stand corrected, it was Sweden, just had a senior moment.
-
Appears I misspoke, not Switzerland but Sweden is the nation that saw no rational in total lockdown. Here is an excerpt on this. Unlike other countries, it has so far avoided both isolation and economic ruin. If the COVID-19 pandemic tails off in a few weeks, months before the alarmists claim it will, they will probably pivot immediately and pat themselves on the back for the brilliant social-distancing controls that they imposed on the world. They will claim that their heroic recommendations averted total calamity. Unfortunately, they will be wrong; and Sweden, which has done almost no mandated social distancing, will probably prove them wrong. Lots of people are rushing to discredit Sweden’s approach, which relies more on calibrated precautions and isolating only the most vulnerable than on imposing a full lockdown. While gatherings of more than 50 people are prohibited and high schools and colleges are closed, Sweden has kept its borders open as well as its preschools, grade schools, bars, restaurants, parks, and shops.
-
Don't think I would take any advise from WHO. What did I get wrong about Switzerland?
-
Has anyone been keeping up on the news in Switzerland? They kept their country open. They limited gathering to 50 people, kept restaurants open, etc... They have fared better than many of the other nations who have tried to control the curve. Their scientists feel that they will have reached "herd immunity" by the middle to May. I also wonder if any of you are from South Dakota? Their governor also kept their businesses open and it is my understanding they have also fared better than the states that shut down everything. I have heard that Georgia is opening everything back up on Friday, except for amusement parks and stadiums. I believe Tennessee is following this as well. My good old state of South Carolina has been listed as the number 49 as being ones that complied with CDC's regulations (so good for Carolinians!) Now if our governor would show a little more gumption and open everything back up in our state! What are your states doing?

It has now been one week since our church started meeting again. I praise the Lord, He has shielded us, no on has suffered from going to service, sharing a pot luck and ignoring social distance. No one thus far has gotten sick, showed signs of sickness and zero percent of deaths. I know some say you must wait 14 days so I will post again a week from now so all can know how all in our church are doing. We had services this past Sabbath and we are planning on services again this evening.

Sorry, but there are nations and countries, just as there are boundaries to private property, etc.... The Lord established a nation, a country, with set borders for the children of Jacob and called it Israel. Our ultimate allegiance is always to God but that doesn't mean that it excludes an allegiance or patriotism to your country, just as loving God doesn't exclude the love for others. I have no problem with the Pledge of Allegiance. I also still stand and put my hand over my heart when the National Anthem is played. The United States isn't perfect, no nation on this Earth is, but I personally believe it is the best one on this Earth, so I truly wish you the best and a safe Bon Voyage if you decide to move to one on your list.

never mentioned stay at home in my post, you may be developing a complex. I believe you can be a patriot even from home.

“A traitor is everyone who does not agree with me.” This quote is from King George III who was the British king at the time of the American Revolution, but this quote could easily be attributable to many of the Democratic leaders that are currently abusing the rights and freedoms of the American people. I am disappointed in some of the Republican Governors during the Wuhan Virus debacle, but the greatest abuses of power are clearly from men and women in leadership that are left-wing liberals who see the Wuhan pandemic as the perfect opportunity to push their liberal/socialistic agenda upon the American people. Patriotism is not only reflected upon the field of battle, for I have served in the military but have never fought in a foreign war but I love this nation with all of my heart, and my heart is greatly grieved by the unconstitutional attacks upon the American people by those who have used a crisis to create an even greater crisis. The enemy that we face is not the Wuhan pandemic, the enemy we face is tyranny and we see its ugly head rising up once more in our day. Will we be as our founding fathers, will we rise up in victory or shall we go quietly into the night? I share with you another quote from the days of the American Revolution and I pray that these sentiments still beat within many American hearts. “The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil constitution, are worth defending against all hazards: And it is our duty to defend them against all attacks.” … Samuel Adams. I know not all in this forum are American, but surely you can also feel the love of your own country. There is nothing wrong with a Christian defending right and declaring something when it is wrong. When God sent forth his prophets unto Israel they didn't declare his words calling for repentance with glee but with hearts of grief desiring Israel to repent and turn back unto the Lord. Jeremiah is known as the crying or weeping prophet.

I hope these words help, The concept that someone has everything in order and that they are completely in charge of every situation is a misnomer for no one truly controls this day or tomorrow. We can prepare and make ready but only the Lord God knows what lies ahead. We live in the present and that is all. Our past has great impact upon our present and our future, but the present is all that we have. We plan our days, weeks, months, and years but any plan beyond the moment is still a plan and not yet reality. Some people seek to control every aspect of their lives and seek to master every situation but this is a supposition not based upon reality. Some appear to be in control while others appear to be completely frustrated and seem to struggle with many aspects of day to day life and go through life overwhelmed by the immensity of it all. The overwhelmed when encountering those who appear to be in complete control are either impressed or irritated. Life has innate struggles, for life cannot be completely planned and controlled by our desires and actions. Life contains many unknowns and many unforeseen circumstances, so do not be discouraged if one of these unknown and unforeseen things causes you to initially struggle or seem uncertain. I know not what today or tomorrow may bring, but I know the One who holds all my days in his loving hands, so in trust and surrender I will face the challenges of a new day, and I may conquer all with ease or I may struggle for a while, but the Lord that guides me truly guides me, and will see me through all my days.

Opps, ...bad news for mask wearers...

I do understand those more prone to the virus taking more precautions than others. -
Nothing wrong with wondering..... and now you know. LOL

I never forget that we are in a war against the darkness. I see more than what happens in our country but look at the world stage. I would like to think that we will get back to basics and appreciate our rights, but I doubt it. Dangerous precedents have been set and they will not simply go away. In our country there are too many that want government to take care of them. When I see all of the leaders with clear agendas of darkness in our nation, I have the sad realization that people actually voted them into office. I see similar agendas in nations across this earth.

I don't believe God's hand is in the destruction of so many lives, perhaps the removal of his hand and the removal his blessings are more likely.

Thanks for sharing your faith and believe. But I may need to get my affairs in order, I have six grandchildren already! -

Thanks for sharing. I had read that as well. A mask can help if the person sick wears one but does little to nothing for those who are healthy. Our state never made it mandatory to wear a mask, if they had I would have put some statement of protest on the outside of it to show people how ridiculous it all was! Also thank you for declaring your faith in our true refuge and Mighty Fortress. Be it in life or in death I am safe within the hands of my God. -

When irrational fear of an enemy destroys more lives than the enemy itself, the enemy has won a great victory. This is what I see has happened within our nation and the nations of the Earth. Fear has enabled victory for an enemy far greater than a virus. Leaders with the help of the media have fed the fear and while this occurred freedoms have been given away, freedoms taken by leaders that had no right to take them. Many are beginning to see the exaggerated truth of this Covid 19, but what happens when the next virus or supposed catastrophe occurs. I have seen faith scoffed at as foolishness. I have seen declaration of faith labeled as bragging. It is time to stand against the darkness, stand against the lies and hypocrisies, it is time for Christians to come out of hiding and I'm not simply talking about this virus. We are in the hands of God, precious in his sight. We are blessed with wonderful truths, it is time to be warriors of light. Darkness is united in far greater ways than most in this world can comprehend, it is time for light to become more united. It is time for the light to shine!
