A Jewish man on the subway is reading an Arab newspaper. A friend of his, who happened to be riding in the same subway car, noticed this strange phenomenon. Very upset, he approached him. “Moshe, have you lost your mind? Why are you reading an Arab newspaper?” Moshe replied, “I used to read the Jewish newspaper, but what did I find? Jews being persecuted, Israel being attacked, Jews disappearing through assimilation and intermarriage, Jews living in poverty. So I switched to the Arab newspaper. Now what do I find? Jews own all the banks, Jews control the media, Jews are all rich and powerful, Jews rule the world. The news is so much better!”

Hey guys, I’ve been toying around with this idea for a while and wanted to ask for some help/feedback. A few months ago, after becoming a new father, I had trouble staying consistent with my bible reading. Although let’s be honest, it was already hard for me before then! Then I had the brilliant obvious idea to combine a bible reading plan with the planner I was using to organize my day. What would be different about this planner is that it’ll have assigned bible readings, space for reflection/prayer/thanksgiving, quarterly goal planning and task management. With space for weekly check ins and sermon notes along with your regular scheduling tools. I had originally created a simple word document to use just for myself, but thought that maybe other people might find this helpful too. Anyway, so I’m wondering if anyone would be interested in taking a look and giving me some feedback? Also if you want to tell me what you'd want to see in something like this. Thanks in advance

On earth, our treasure and joy is in our Lord. In heaven, our reward is eternity spent with Him. But it's apparent that certain believers will be rewarded more than others: 1 Corinthians 3: 12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames. What reward is to be received? I believe in the Parable of the Talents, the reward was more work (they were given more talents to manager), and also to enter into the joy of the Lord. But what about in heaven? Curious to hear your thoughts.

Praying constantly to me means that our "normal state" is to be mindful and in the presence of God. Obviously sometimes we will be doing things that require our full attention, but when we have a break or some downtime, that is when we go back to the presence of God. One of the favorite books on this is Practicing the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence. It's a tough read, so I list to it on audio, here's a youtube link for it:
