  1. This is hate speech and exposes what spirit you are of.
  2. You can believe whatever you like. No one is stopping you. I'm not prophesying anything. I just read the Bible and treat anything religious that is not in it as false and not of God. In actual fact, I just a sinner and nothing at all, so you can accuse me until the cows come home and it won't make any difference to me.
  3. As I already said on this thread: every believer has the right to judge prophecy as Paul taught in 1 Corinthians 14. I reject every prophecy that comes from the Bethel "school of prophets" because the foundation of that church is non-Biblical and therefore cultish; therefore every prophecy and teaching that comes out of that movement is contaminated with spiritual poison. At least we can recognise that movements like the JWs and the Mormons are cults because it is obvious that they do not conform to the true gospel of Christ. But movements like Bethel and Hillsong are much more deceptive because they identify themselves as Christian and appear to be passionate in their "christian" worship. But looking deeper into these movements and comparing them to Scripture, we see things that are missing from the New Testament and more compared to New Age mysticism, Hindu Kundalini, occult practices, and hypnotic suggestion; and this deception is leading unknowing people on the road to hell. So I compare the Bethel "school of the prophets" to the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel, and to the 400 prophets who spoke from a lying spirit to advise King Ahab that he was going to win the battle. Those 400 prophets sounded exactly like the Bethel "school of prophets", and not like Michaiah who was thrown into prison because he spoke the truth - that Ahab was going to die. So I guess that according to what you are saying Michaiah was of the devil because he judged Ahab when all the other prophets were being positive and prophesying victory and future hope.
  4. Paul teaches in 1 Corinthians 14 that believers should prophesy one by one and the others judge. This means that all New Testament prophecy should be judged by other believers, including you and me. Because there are many false prophets gone out into the world, it is imperative that every believer judges prophecy by comparing them to the written Scriptures to evaluate whether the prophecy is consistent with how the Holy Spirit is working in the church age. We need to use the "who, what, where, how, when, why" approach. Who is being represented by the prophecy. Is it really God saying it as a reflection of what He has already said in Scripture? Or is it the person himself wanting just to put his own views using the authority of "this is what the Lord is saying?" What does the prophecy say. Is it pointing to some things that have already been said in Scripture, or is it "new revelation" thereby adding to the Word of God (which is disallowed in Scripture)? Where is the prophecy spoken. Is it spoken in the local church context as taught by Paul in 1 Corinthians 14? How it comes forth. Is it spoken in clear language and easily understood without spooky or KJV language? When should the prophecy be accepted. Is it a word for the people to take immediate encouragement, edification, or comfort right now, or is it a prediction for the future? Why was the prophecy brought forth. What was the purpose for the person saying the prophecy? Is this person recognised by the people as having a ministry in the fellowship, or is he just wanting to be seen and heard because he has not been given space to give his views any other way? Every believer who hears or reads a prophecy has the right to evaluate it, because he needs to keep himself safe from spirits of divination that often come through false prophecy. Some false prophecies are easy to spot, but they are not the dangerous ones. The devil is very crafty and he can counterfeit true prophecy by making a false prophecy so close to the truth that it is very difficult to tell them apart. It is like the food put down to deal with rats. It is 99.96% good food, but -04% poison. But it is the small amount of poison that kills the rat stone dead. A false prophecy can be the same, but the small amount of falsehood can contain a spirit of divination that can bring a believer into bondage and confusion until that evil spirit has been dealt with.
  5. No skin off my nose whether people accept what I say or not. It's like sharing the gospel of Christ. Some will believe it, and others will reject it. It's not our job to actually convert people. We just share what we believe and people can take it or leave it. Ezekiel told the Lord that if he gave his prophecy, they won't listen to him, so what's the use of opening his mouth. the Lord told him that his responsibility was to prophesy to the people even if they won't listen because then the blood will be on their own hands; but if he didn't speak what God told him and they suffered judgment, their blood would be on his hands for not being a faithful watchman and warning them.
  6. All I am saying is that the prophecies "for the nation" are false, dreamed up by the individuals themselves, and God has not, nor ever at any time, sent them.
  7. All you have to do is to view video clips of what goes on in Bethel meetings, and hear Bill Johnson's teaching, and then compare these with the New Testament, thereby making up your own mind about whether the church is Biblical or not.
  8. I can understand that what I have said about Bethel wouldn't make any sense to you right now, but you might come into contact with it in the future, and if you were to be tempted to think that this is quite an exciting type of Christianity, you might remember that some old buzzard made comments about it, and that might make you look more closely into it to see if it is Biblical; and when you discover that it is a dangerous cult and turn your back on it, then you have saved yourself from getting hooked up with spirits that may not be good for you.
  9. I was discipled during the 1970s by a Pentecostal pastor whose background was the Methodist Holiness movement. He taught that if a person was to be used in the gifts of the Spirit, one had to be a person of the Word and of prayer. His ministry was not attractive to other Pentecostals in the city because he was adamant concerning personal holiness and very strict about it. He had no time for the mystical stuff, and totally opposed to "oneness" (Modalist) Pentecostalism. Over the years since then, after going through times of storm and stress in my own life, and after rejecting my Charismatic mentors, his discipleship teaching came back to me when none of the others stood the test of time.
  10. This is because there is a general tendency to put trust in feelings and experiences, rather in the written text of the Scriptures. When I was directly involved in the Pentecostal movement in the first 12 years of my Christian life, it was normal to hear people say that we should not trust in the dead letter of the written Scriptures and to listen for the voice of God to give us revelation and experiences in "the higher spiritual life". What has evolved is a quest for deeper spirituality, which goes into the realm of New Age mysticism and the occult.
  11. In the same way that there were no "prophets for Rome" in the New Testament, there are no Biblical prophets for America. The man is a self-appointed dreamer operating from a spirit of divination. Some may not find it pleasant me saying this, but the Biblical truth can be very unpleasant to those caught up in deception and New Age occult.
  12. They are a non-Christian cult, and their leaders are not born again, and they are leading their followers on the path to hell. Satan is very crafty. He is using something almost believable, and attractive, lots of fun and excitement as well as false promises of blessing, prosperity, and miraculous experiences to direct people away from sound Biblical doctrine towards the broad road to destruction.
  13. The whole basis for prophecy involving American politics is false and unBiblical. Nothing like that is found in the New Testament. All I have done is to compare the actual video footage of actual Bethel activities with the New Testament and found that there is no comparison at all. Absolutely none of the Apostles or other New Testament Christians behaved like those people which causes me to see that the Bethel people have ignored the Bible and done their own thing. Furthermore, concerning New Testament prophecy, any believer, including me, has the total right to evaluate according to the written New Testament. So, I am not falsely accusing anyone. I'm just a guy who reads the Bible.
  14. There are a number of good videos on Youtube that provide objective evidence that Bethel is a pseudo-christian cult. King Ahab didn't like Michaiah either. He said, "The fellow says nothing good about me." The fact is that Ahab's prophets all spoke from a lying spirit, and Michaiah spoke from the Holy Spirit. Satan is not the creepy guy in a red suit with horns and pitchfork. He comes across as the all-American nice guy, very personable and attractive. Someone who makes one feel relaxed and happy with. That is his deception. He is the one who is always positive, and that is why the 400 prophets, in all their positivity, deceived Ahab to think that everything was going to be okay. But the Holy Spirit can be very negative when it comes to idolatry and sin, and the challenge to holiness is not always pleasant and attractive to those up to their necks in sin and hypocrisy.
  15. Be careful that you are not hearing from a spirit of divination. b
  16. This is a total load of rubbish, dreamed up by someone who is listening to a spirit of divination.
  17. I find none of this in the New Testament. Even if a prophecy appears to come true, it is no indication that it is of the Holy Spirit. A spirit of divination can inspire a prophecy that will come to pass. The test of a true prophecy is whether it is consistent with the New Testament or not.
  18. The actual fact is that God doesn't care a hoot about politics and elections. He is the one who sets up one person and puts down another, and it has nothing to do with prophecies for or against any person. God is no respecter of persons. He does everything according to His own plans and purposes. The problem with fellows dreaming up prophecies is that God does not tell people in advance what He is doing, especially self-appointed "prophets to the nation" which were originally limited to the nation of Israel and who passed into history when the New Covenant came into being. The reason for the prophecy of Agabus in Acts about the famine, was to alert the Christian community to store up food and take up collections for those most affected by it. His prophecy was for the body of Christ and did not involve the political climate of the time. All of the "prophecies for the nation" are lies generated by a spirit of divination, and those who give them are infused with that spirit, and those who believe and receive them are spiritually corrupted by the same spirit. Therefore, genuine believers need to protect themselves by totally renouncing every such prophecy and pleading the blood of Jesus against any spiritual of divination that comes with them.
  19. This is a dream and nothing more. It does not come from God at all. Interpreting it is going into New Age mysticism and Freudian occult. Many may disagree with me here, and attack me for it, but I don't care. I'm just a guy with the Bible, and there is nothing of this in the New Testament. Anyone who accepts these types of prophecies and interpretation are opening themselves to a spirit of divination that will ruin them spiritually.
  20. Bethel is not a true Christian church. I have serious doubts that any of the leadership of that church are genuinely born again. Bill Johnson teaches that new revelation is more important that the written Word of the Bible. There are manifestations that occur in the meetings that are more of New Age occult than New Testament. It has been proved that the "gold dust" from heaven was actually glitter that was put through the ventilation system by two ladies given that job of deception. Therefore any prophecy that comes out of that church is a total lie and should be rejected out of hand so as to prevent being attacked by a spirit of divination.
  21. This is a false prophecy because "prophets to the nation" are not found in the New Testament. Also, any prophecy that involves the world's politics is not Biblical. Therefore the prophecy is absolute nonsense, dreamed up by the fellow himself.
  22. There is a major difference between interpretation and translation. The spiritual gift of interpretation of tongues is a response in the Spirit to a utterance of tongues spoken out in the group. The interpretation may be in the form of a prayer, which is consistent with tongues actually being a form of prayer spoken to God; or it may come as a prophecy for the people, activated by the tongues which took the form of intercession to God that the Word of the Lord would come forth. An interpretation of tongues is given in faith and in response to the leading of the Holy Spirit from a person who has received the gift of interpretation of tongues from the Holy Spirit. It has been known to happen that someone has spoken in tongues in a known language, and someone else who is a native speaker of that language has heard and understood it. One example is of a English person speaking out in tongues, and a Chinese woman who heard her Cantonese language where the Holy Spirit telling her, "You need to go forward to receive Christ as your Saviour." Because she knew that the particular gentleman did not know one word of Cantonese, she knew it was from the Lord and she did go forward and received Christ. In another service, someone spoke in tongues, and a Welsh woman was amazed that the person, who was not Welsh, spoke her native language without any trace of an accent, which would have been totally impossible for anyone outside of Wales to do. I have a personal friend in a church where I was a deacon, spoke in a Ghanaian rural dialect, which a Ghanaian visitor understood, and he was able to tell my friend exactly what he said, and it was praises to God for His mighty works. There was absolutely no way my friend could know that village dialect. I was praying quietly in tongues during a service, and a New Zealand Maori lady sitting beside me told that that God spoke encouraging things to her in her Maori language, and this was well before I had learned beginner Maori, and the language that came to her when I was praying in tongues was too sophisticated for me even if I had a smattering of beginner Maori. So there are diversities of tongues, each for separate purposes which the Lord ordains as He wills. Because we cannot put God into a box, we cannot limit His gifts to our finite understanding either.
  23. In the time I was involved in Christianforums.com, anyone posting prophecies was against their rules, and they were very strict about it. They had a Prophetic forum for a long while, but after receiving so many shonky prophecies, they decided to erase it; quite rightly so. True NT prophecies should be spoken in the local church environment, by those recognised by the leadership as persons appropriate, and for the leadership to judge and evaluate each prophecy. I would add that every prophecy should be recorded and kept as a record for accountability, especially those that predict something in the future. It actually would be better if the prophecy should be written out and presented to the leadership in advance so the leadership can decide whether the prophecy is suitable for sharing with the congregation. Just because someone gets up and says, "Thus says the Lord", it doesn't mean that God is actually speaking through that person. Usually, if a person has to say :The Lord is speaking through me", it means that the Lord isn't, because the prophecy itself would show whether the Lord is actually speaking or not.
  24. When God has spoken directly to His prophets, it was recorded as Holy Scripture. Therefore, the person who gave these prophecies is saying God is speaking directly through him. Therefore, he is saying that God is giving him extra Scripture, but there is a problem with that, because Proverbs 30:6: "Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar." Also, the interesting thing is that the content of the prophecies concerning the higher spiritual life is not found in the New Testament. That shows a difficulty with these prophecies, and casts doubt as to whether these prophecies are really from the Lord, or are just theological statements by the person couched in "prophetic" form. If they actually are theological statements by the person, then purporting that God is speaking directly through him is essentially taking the Lord's name in vain, which is a violation of the Commandment. Paul teaches that all New Testament prophecy is to be judged, and this is my judgment of it.
  25. Here is Heaven's response to most predictive "this is what God is saying" type prophecies:
