Philippians 3:20 says we are citizens of heaven, the implications of this are very interesting and are an emphasis of what we see in Galatians chapter 5. As we are exiles on earth, earth is not our true place, and if we are to identify with the spiritual kingdom of heaven as our true place and destiny, then we must identify with our spirit rather than our flesh which is of the earth. The flesh is not the real you, the spirit is. It's interesting when we consider this, how although we might feel so compelled by flesh issues, in our true state we would believe it or not, consider them completely insignificant. We may be walking down the streets of New York and other places, but our feet should be moving to the rhythm of above, and we place our feet in the footsteps Jesus left for us.
