"Faith Alone, brings us to our Salvation"
Dirt Eaters replied to Dirt Eaters's topic in General Discussion
I think you are missing the point i was trying to make. Our ' Salvation ' is Jesus, not Heaven. Heaven is just a place. If Salvation is Heaven , then we worship heaven and not Jesus. So when we say, by Jesus we are saved, it is because Faith brings us to Jesus. Now we have to recieve Jesus, and in doing that, we recieve love -
Sirs, I am sorry about writing that bd article. I was excited to be here. Wanted to share my experience. I worry about the women / girls who become caught in thier web.
-
Sir, i was expressing the need to warn and let others know to be wary. These wolves come right into your churches. They KNOW how to read people. i know, i was there too. I am sorry for my part. i lived in that darkness.

Ok , i understand . Minors It is a subject that needs to be addressed. You would not believe how many preachers came into the club. They were not there to save souls.

WHERE does the SPIRITUAL BODY go when the flesh dies? UP or down
Dirt Eaters replied to DeighAnn's topic in Bible Study
Jesus said, he did not come for those who were well, but for those who are sick. And i can tell you, i was very sick spiritually, i was lost and did not know it. -
WHERE does the SPIRITUAL BODY go when the flesh dies? UP or down
Dirt Eaters replied to DeighAnn's topic in Bible Study
If that were true, that my life will only go where my spirit choses, then i would still be lost. I am greatful that the Lord reached out to me and took me from my old life. I never really thought of being Christian. I cant believe how ignorant that statement is. You think your salvation is up to you, how proud that is. Ifit wasn't for Jesus being selfless, you would have nothing. -
WHERE does the SPIRITUAL BODY go when the flesh dies? UP or down

Actually I was being a little bit facetious with the first part of my answer meaning if you died in China you'd be on the opposite side of the world. But the second part of my answer about being in heaven, if you're in heaven then you've already done all the rest -
I've never been in a Christian chat room before but I've been in all sorts of others. And now that I am a Christian I just think it's kind of funny that I come here thinking I'm going to talk to other people on subjects that people share, and very few people actually make a comment it's more reactions and quoting scripture. Which is fine to a point but when you want to have a discussion there's no content. If you are in my line of work and we were in serious discussions on the programming of a M20 motor grader and decided that you're going to quote me passages out of the handbook or just send me a reactions I'd hang up on you in a heartbeat. So I'm just asking can we have a decent conversation. I mean if you want to quote scripture that's great but add something to it with your own words. And reactions are fine but tell me what you're thinking talk to me at least, that's why I came out here.

Does it matter? If you died in China, you would be the opposite anyways. Maybe being thankful for being in heaven should be more important. -

Its a Mad Mad world. Lol -
Sir, I realize the BDSM message is strong, yet i did not use any foul words. And if you removed it out of content, then why? There are thousands of people, Christians as well playing, with dynamite. Its as bad as those going to the New Age Movement thinking they are ok because they are Christains. You cant be advicating this behavior. And it is only 1 of many subjects that need to be addressed. If you cant be serious about Christianity, then what do you have left. Being passive only lets your enemies win.

"Faith Alone, brings us to our Salvation"
Dirt Eaters replied to Dirt Eaters's topic in General Discussion
I spent almost 2 years learning about Christianity and coming out of my old lifestyle. Primarily it was because of people like my brother's friend that never asked for one thing from me and yet help me repeatedly on very high spiritual level things. He never questioned he never condemned and I was amazed that someone would do that for me. He constantly talked about God and how God loved me for me. Faith was a slow thing for me. But on one eventful day, on a special day I had set aside and it rained and I got angry with God because of the rain. And I yelled at Him because of it. it took me a year to scrape up enough money to take my nieces and nephews to a beautiful amusement and water park. And the forcast was supposed to be sunny ) I yelled at God saying "Bill B. says that you are real and care about everything i do. I don't care if it rains before and after so long as it didn't rain while we were there." After entering the amusement park I forgot what I had said. The sun came out and it was beautiful. We were leaving and as soon as I stepped outside of the amusement park it's like a waterfall came down on my head. And then I remembered what I had said. I felt like I was 2 in tall. That experience changed me completely. I know I have faith and I know that God loves me for who I am -

Maybe I'm missing something in your words, are you asking if I have faith? I'm sorry to sound like a smart aleck but what do you think? -

Oh thank you I'm not so used to having people be so agreeable. I tend to be a little defensive. I have a lot of thoughts that go through my mind on a lot of different subjects, and I usually get people upset because it goes against their normal thinking. And I'm not trying to be argumentative but just trying to show things that I see that are missed. -

Any stories of Spirits gifts of miraculous powers
Dirt Eaters replied to Ervin P's topic in Gifts of the Spirit
I don't know if this is where this belongs. But I used to live a very different lifestyle up until more recently actually. A man that I got together with who I thought was a certain type of person turned out to be a witch or a warlock or whatever they want to call themselves. And I'm definitely not into that stuff and so I refused him. He ended up casting a spell which caused demons to attack me when I was trying to sleep. And what came to mind was a man my brother knows who is extremely spiritual of the Lord. So I called my brother and my brother gave me his phone number and I called him at 12:30 in the morning. Before I could explain everything to him he said he already understood what was going on and then explain to me what was happening and a new every detail even though I had not even said it yet. He told me that he would take care of it and then the spirits that were bugging me were gone. How did I know that these things were spirits. I couldn't see them but I could feel them touching me everywhere and it always hurt whenever they touch me. I called him back the next day and asked him what he did. He just said that he asked God's angels to protect me. Then he prayed for the man who was attacking me that he would never be able to cast any more spells, and prayed for his soul -

"Faith Alone, brings us to our Salvation"

Isnt this the fire, the fire of the Holy Spirit, that we claim when accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior? The very flame we are called to turn into a torch for all to see? <<< scripture -
When people say "Faith alone brings us to our salvation" they are right. But there is a jump to the conclusion, that "Salvation" means Paradice. I know this is a bit nit picky, but i think there needs to be some serious clarification on this subject. As our Salvation is Jesus, not Heaven. Heaven is where we end up after recieving Jesus as Lord and Savior. Remember, Jesus states, "No One" can go to the Father but "through" me. And going through Jesus is not just knowing who He is. In other words. You can see Canada from Michigan looking through the Ambassador Bridge. You can know all there is to know about Canada and the Ambassador Bridge. But you have to go through the bridge to get to Canada. Just using this as an example. So, as Jesus is our Salvation, He is not Heaven. Also Jesus states in the Prayer He taught us. "Our Father, who is in Heaven". Like i said it is a bit nit picky. But there are huge ramifications. Scripture states "God is Love" Paul says, "faith without love, is like a gong clanging in the wind" Everyone uses the evidence of the thief on the cross. ( at Jesus death). What is so overlooked is one thing, the thief having compassion to Jesus. Faith brings us to Love, to Jesus. Now we have to recieve Jesus into our hearts. It is faith and love that take us to Heaven.
