  1. Hi @walla299 You said (back a bit) : "I have met some believers who reworked the tatts from their old lives into something Christ honoring after they were saved. Those can be a good conversation starter sometimes" My wife and I talked to a young lady with the whole of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area; it was her favorite Bible verse and mine also; and I'm sure other conversations have arisen as a result of her willingness to have it shot in at the tattoo parlor. (Likely the motive for it in the first place...)
  2. Hi @walla299 Read your post; am reminded that one of the glorious titles of the Lord Jesus is Alpha and Omega; best to commit our times to Him........
  3. Hi @Walter and Deborah Do keep up with posting the Bible meditations..........
  4. Hi @NConly Yes, there needs to be a relationship of trust established between the tattooee and the tattoo artist. Sounds like even though you got the design and placement all worked out, you won't be going back to the artist you talked about a while ago that disappointed you. @Thewhitedove said something similar; she's an experienced tattooee but said she was really disappointed with the artist she used before. There does need to be trust there.
  5. Thanks to all who voted so far in the poll. NB: If you have not yet voted in the poll, please vote now.
  6. @NConly Paul to the Romans speaks of 'the obedience of faith' and 'obedience to the faith'. It's not a meritorious thing; works follow faith, as James says. I know you would believe this.
  7. Hi @SIC I do like Allegri's musical version of this Psalm.........
  8. FYI @Coruscating ; did you see the poll, above? Quite a few ppl have commented also, one way or another.
  9. @Coruscating YW. The Brahms version goes something like: "How lovely is Thy dwelling place..."
  10. Hi @desertlily FYI.............Psalm thread started; do you have a favorite? ( cc @Adara ; @deva1)
  11. Hi @Not me See that Luke 9.23 says, 'daily' taking up one's cross...........
  12. Thanks, @Coruscating There is I think a version of this Psalm to music by Brahms.
  13. Hi @Coruscating FYI......... Psalm thread started............. ( cc @FiretoWisdom )
  14. @NConly Come to think of it, each tattoo encounter is unique, right? I think you were recently considering particular colors for a design, anyway.
  15. Hi @NConly So if the cost is not too prohibitive, do you intend from time to time to keep filling available skin for more artwork?
  16. @Tristen The word for repentance - metanoia - indeed basically means turning: from sin and to God in faith.
  17. Hi @Scott Free "John 3:16, the most beautiful thought ever written. How could she regret that kind of tattoo? A dim reflection of the real tattoo that adorns her inner self." Some ppl, above, were talking about tattoo regret. But I reckon she doesn't regret getting inked up with such a witness friendly tattoo as John 3.16, right? (I reckon she went into the tattoo parlor for her appointment pretty confidently, anyway.)
  18. @Scott Free So much distortion about, right? Good to stick to Scripture, indeed........
  19. @Debp Bible and NT publishing in economic formats is such a good work, indeed..............
  20. Hi @blessings from above FYI..........did you see the poll, above?
  21. Hi @blessings from above Re. John 3.16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." For the believer receiving everlasting life by faith is far more than dreaming, right?
  22. I don't think so, @blessings from above .......... Looking forward in certain hope, for the believer, is not just dreaming.
