Would someone still be saved if they didnt believe this..?
Truswell replied to Figure of eighty's topic in General Discussion
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. The rest comes as we grow in grace. -

What a lovely post and thoughts. They are well worth remembering, and just to add a little nugget of information it was the ministers who built the minsters, hence us the name, so not only did they build the minster to the glory of God, they built up the people's faith as well.

From childhood onwards, I have often wondered how our heavenly Father can know our every deed until I was talking to someone while walking my dog, and this thought came into my mind. "The invisible, omnipresent internet knows all about us, but God GOT THERE FIRST. Praise His Holy Name.

There is no "trinity" in John 1:1-14.

He (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. (Colossians 1:15-16) For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form. Colossians 2:9 (Colossians 1:15-16) Jesus *said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father. (John 14:9) -
I think maybe you mean the gifts of the Holy Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12? Praise the Lord. I sought after the gifts of wisdom and teaching, but not in public, only in private. I pray continually for the Lord to use me in whatever way is appropriate at the time, and he gives me the words to say, otherwise l remain quiet while keeping my heart and mind focussed on Him.

Jesus was busy doing what he came to do, fulfilling prophesy, while the people, possibly John also were expecting a political leader. There was no other like Jesus. • The blind see (Isa_61:1; Isa_35:5). • The lame walk (Isa_35:6). • The deaf hear (Isa_35:5). • The dead live (Isa_26:19). • The poor hear the good news (Isa_61:11).

That phrase was often on my lips when my daughter had to do her homework, and she kept putting it off. It had to be done, so I would say, "Just do it" and pulling a face, she would. She got to be a school teacher, so she did OK, and she is a lovely Christian too.

The trinity? Mary was filled with the Holy Spirit, and Jesus was the Father made flesh.

I wonder if the pre-incarnate Jesus had this meeting between himself and John already arranged via the Holy Spirit?

F. B. Meyer writes: The Baptist was languishing in a gloomy dungeon in the castle of Machaerus, on the farther shores of the Dead Sea-like a wild creature of the desert, suddenly entrapped. The darkness of his cell depressed his spirit; it seemed strange, too, if Jesus were the Messiah, that He did not overthrow the tyrant rule of Herod and release His captive friend. When you are in doubt, go straight to Jesus and ask Him to deal with it! Our Lord did not argue with the messengers sent by John, but pointed to the beneficent works that the Father had given Him to do. See Joh_5:36; also Isa_29:18; Isa_35:5-6. The influence of Christ on individuals and the world is the best testimony to the validity of His claims. The demonstration of Christianity is to be found in its acceptance and practice.

My mother, who was a pastor's wife, always had her hair long, but she kept it rolled up, and of course she always wore a hat, based on what Paul wrote to the Corinthian church. Even so, she never understood the reason why. It was not until several years after her passing that I stumbled across the reason in my studies, and so people all over the world have followed Paul's injunction to the Corinthian Church. I take my hat off to the ladies for their faith and desire to bring glory to the Lord. They are lovely.

Paul thought very highly of women, and several accompanied him on his missionary journeys. Phoebe comes to mind, but there were more. In Corinth, Paul was faced with a local problem, so we need to take everything in context. He had lots of difficulties as he planted new Christian churches. An amazing man, who gave his all to the Lord and was mightily used of God, so let us all surrender our life to the Saviour, His will to do despite the many hardships. Each in their own small corner. Let it be, Lord. Amen.

That is very hard to do.

Evolution has nothing to do with it, that is only a yardstick. Creation is down to the ANCIENT OF DAYS, who existed since before the beginning of time. .
