The Precious Blood of Jesus Demolishes Your Guilt of Sin
Big Boy Stan Murf replied to Rockson's topic in General Discussion
I know you didn't mean that... my point was Gospel presentations need to always remind people that we must repent because one cannot continue in sin and be in right standing with the Lord at the same time. What fellowship has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14) He that does right is right even as He is right (1 John 3:7) Most people that feel guilty are still involved in wrong doing whether it be actual sin or the sin of unbelief. And the devil will certainly help with both if we give place to him. -

And the once saved always saved crowd will insist that those who got born again and continued in sin.... will still go to Heaven, This is what is so dangerous about false OSAS teaching is because it causes those young in the faith to stumble as many of them will actually continue in sin based on hearing people say "you can never lose your salvation" -

Eternal Salvation – From the Perspective of Life
Big Boy Stan Murf replied to Vine Abider's topic in General Discussion
That's not true! Numerous passages in the New Testament speaks of people falling away from the faith... one cannot fall away from something they were never in to begin with. Also read Mark 4:13-20 and notice that all the people with bad ground did receive the word with gladness. Jesus does not say they never received the Word and believded Notice Jesus give 5 things the devil uses to choke the Word out of one's life causing it to be unfruitful - persecution, afflictions, cares of this world, lusts of other things, and deceitfulness of riches. And notice Jesus said these things ENTERING IN is what cause the Word to be choked so it did not bare fruit. We are the ones who are supposed to keep God's Word and not allow these tings to enter in an choke the Word. This is why Jesus said if you love me keep my Word (John 14:23) as in don't let the devil come in and choke the Word out of you. This is what it means to lay hold on eternal life 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. -
How did these get in the Bible???

Can't be as in they aren't calvinist so they could not possibly be "elect"??? To the calvinist, one is simply chosen by God and if they try to stopping sinning then that is works based which could mean they were not really elect after all and God was just messing with them to think they were but in the end they are hell bound and they cannot get saved because Jesus only provided limited atonement and they got the short end of the stick and are hell bound. It would be funny if it weren't so sad. It's like a religious comedy skit or something -

Go start watching them on Utube. Email them and ask them if you were born again and just couldn't quit sinning would you go to Heaven anyway and they're say yes! Charles Stanly has video on utube where he says all sin including murder, adultery, idolatry , etc have already been forgiven and you'd still go to Heaven even if you were doing these things. Of course they say you should not sin. But when corned with the question of would someone who had been born again were to tall back and live in sin would they still go to Heaven and they would say yes they would still go to Heaven anyway. OSAS thought comes out of reformed theology and calvinism where they claim they are "elect" and cannot possibly go to hell even if they lived like the devil. This is nothing but phony baloney doctrine when compared to scripture. -

Well all the calvinist fellows will say you support a works based Gospel. They claim repenting and believing are works which is trying to earn right standing with the Lord. -

The Bible speaks of some that turn away from the faith to follow doctrines of demons. So it's possible to actually get saved... but fall away, otherwise these warnings are lies and somebody snuck them in to the Lord's canon when He wasn't looking? -

You'll have to argue with the Lord over this... does He say things He does not mean??? That tis the question. If He does, then this makes Him a liar which I don't believe is the case but many do while claiming they don't which is double speak, a tactic used by the devil to deceive. -

Since he knew he had sinned and he knew he had to confess and forsake his sin to receive forgiveness ... but failed to do so, he does not go to Heaven. If he does go to Heaven, then this is claiming God lied in Proverbs 28:13 among other verses. James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. This man just died in his sin. -

And... if one expects mercy from the Lord they will need to confess their sin and FORSAKE their sin. Knowingly living in sin is very bad and that's not "still in the b battle" but instead is having surrounded to the desires of the flesh (sin) and choosing sin over the Lord. People can play their games, but once the Lord has revealed to them what they are doing is sin and they choose to keep doing their sin, there is not more mercy for that person... UNTIL they confess their sin and FORSAKE their sin. Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins *If we knowing and willing continue in sin, Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross is no longer applicable and there will be no new sacrifice for sin forthcoming other than what Jesus has already done at the Cross. One must cease from sin for the work of Christ to be applicable to them. Ezekiel 18:26,27 When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and dies in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Again, when the wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. Ezekiel 18:20 (see Romans 8:13) The soul that sinneth, it shall die. John 15:5 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. Romans 1:28-32 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. *This indicates that these folks were born again and they had "fallen from grace" because they turn away from trusting in Jesus for their salvation. -

How did these get in the Bible???
Big Boy Stan Murf replied to Big Boy Stan Murf's topic in General Discussion
All the popular preachers say that it's not possible to lose your salvation even if one were to live in sin. By saying things like this they are a stumbling block to believers which is sinful as it causes many to be lukewarm or turn away from the Lord living in sin while still claiming to "believe" in Jesus. For one to hold the position that it's impossible to lose your salvation, they have to hold on to a select handful of bible verses and ignore the whole counsel of God by explaining the verses away they they don't like the aren't OSAS friendly. One of the biggest purveyors of this false doctrine is Charles Stanley! He's a very popular, well know, and respected minister... respected by fellow cherry pickers! There are videos you can see right now on youtube of Charles Stanley literally saying murder is already forgiven, adultery is already forgiven, lying already forgiven etc, etc. People here this and think they can kill their wife so they can get a younger woman and that sin is already forgiven! Charles Stanley is just one of many examples of popular preachers that will claim "no, we don't recommend sin, but if you do sin it's already forgiven!" -
Why are the homeless, homeless?
Big Boy Stan Murf replied to upuntildown's topic in General Discussion
There are those that claim we should have next to nothing because in doing so it makes us closer to the Lord. I've found that some people are literally scared to have a little money because they are afraid it will cause them to turn away from the Lord Apparently they have not learned about the fruit of the Spirit which includes self control which actually is the Lord's self control He is sharing with us... IF we will walk in the Spirit based on God's Word. -
How did these get in the Bible???
Big Boy Stan Murf replied to Big Boy Stan Murf's topic in General Discussion
If it doesn't then we are free to live in sin, and let our freak flag fly! Many of the OSAS people claim that God cannot even see our sin at all! All He sees is us in Him. So, based on their teachings we can sin and Jesus has not idea we even sinned at all because they cl;aim too that all of our future sin has already been forgiven! It's no wonder so many people are running around living in open sin claiming to be Christians which is a stumbling block to other Christians causing them to get their freak flag out and fly it too. These are false teachers teaching that our sin does not separate us from the Lord. The wages of sin is STILL death which is separation from God. There's no darkness in God, so one cannot sin and still be In Christ. This is why God's Word says we must confess and forsake our sin in order to have mercy (Proverbs 28:13, 1 John 1:9), and the reason for that is God is NOT mocked, we reap what we sow, if we sow to the flesh (sin) we SHALL reap corruption! (Gal 6:7,8) If it's true that sin does not separate us from the Lord then those believing that have no room to tell anyone sin is wrong at all cause they are contradicting themselves when they say that! -
Is this Correct Teaching???
Big Boy Stan Murf replied to Big Boy Stan Murf's topic in General Discussion
And yet... he wrote numerous writings in opposition to James. He most likely had to play like he accepted it because the Lord influenced everyone else to accept the Book of James. Luther also hated the Jews and this is where Adolph Hitler learned to hate the Jews as a young man as he was an avid reader of Martin Luther's writings. Some of the stuff Luther said about the Jews is another thing to point to in proving Luther was a false teacher and should be ignored. The Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ most definitely does not lead anyone to reject any part of God's canon or to hate the Jews! Luther was led by some other so called "holy spirit" -
Why are the homeless, homeless?
Big Boy Stan Murf replied to upuntildown's topic in General Discussion
So you think the Lord wants His people to live in poverty and even be homeless? Think this would make us closer to the Lord? My point was, there are in fact a lot of promises in God's Word that show He does NOT want His people to live in poverty at all. Not all will be very wealthy but we should all have plenty to meet our needs as well as the needs of others in the Body of Christ around us (to the household of faith first!). And it's related to our work! The Lord will bless our work IF we believe His promises concerning our financial well being... and if we don't work we shouldn't eat as the Lord's Word says in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 Of course some will claim "you preach prosperity gospel" and the accurate reply is... no, it's just regular Gospel and the devil talked you out of believing some of God's promises! -
Is this Correct Teaching???
Big Boy Stan Murf replied to Big Boy Stan Murf's topic in General Discussion
Faith without obedience is faith without works which is the type of faith not accept by the Lord as we read in the Book of James. It's funny how Luther wanted to remove the Book of James as it did not agree with his preconceived ideas. But then again it's well established that Luther was a drunk so go figure. -
How did these get in the Bible???
Big Boy Stan Murf replied to Big Boy Stan Murf's topic in General Discussion
Actually, Jesus the Holy Spirit does not speak on His own and only speaks that which He hears from Jesus. John 16:13,14 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. Funny how the "Holy Spirit" the OSAS crowd follows sure leaves a lot of scripture out. Weird! There must be 2 Holy Spirits and one of them you don't capitalize his name for obvious reasons. -

Just like racism, one political party uses things like this and makes then political in their efforts to get more votes. They claim if you don't vote for their party then you are racist, love seeing people homeless, hate gay people, hate women, and on it goes. Funny how that's the party the is ant-christ and support abortion and homosexuality which God's Word very clearly teachings is an obomanation unto the Lord. God's Word also teaches those that do these things along with those that take pleasure in those doing this things are worthy of death (separation from the Lord) And it amazes me that some Christians think they can vote for and support abortion and homosexuality and still be in right standing with the Lord! Of course you know, why worry about it? They have their once saved always saved doctrine they believe in so to them it's all good! We can be in opposition to the Lord and still go to Heaven -
