It means to me that i "must" take time off of my daily routine on this day and actually everday in some sense to remember those that have give their life in War to defend this nation i live in, so that i and their familys would have freedom, freedom to serve The Lord Jesus Christ most of all , some nations in this world are not so fortunate. I enjoy so much of your input on topics, I dont post a whole lot for except in Prayer Request Forum, But i do like to read alot of the discussions ,, and i might add that you do contribute alot of good here ...... I grew up on a farm and the only heat we had was a coal/wood furnace, we had to cut wood till dark and shovel coal into the coal shoot that led to the basement, for years i thought "man! i can't wait to get old enough to get outta here and go see the world! ".. well I did get to go see alot of the world .. But I'd give anything to be back in those days and back on the farm where life was sooo much simpler, hard work, but so much simpler, I also have fond memories of fishin with dad and he was the best teacher! We would bring home 2-3 stringers full of bass, and mom would fry them up, Sure miss those days. Ya know i look in the mirror sometimes and wonder ... Where did that kid go? ... Umm as far as You being a woman and being used in these areas, I personally don't see a problem with it at all!.. Expect to be used. Suprisingly enough, not that many volunteers are to be found. What you do is clean up areas in a storm, give food and water to people who are hurt, and various other details. Yes you will be used!... and all for The Glory of our Lord! .... our Church is involved also, you can exspect to get dirty and muddy or be handing out meals etc., working with The Red Cross, Last year here in W.V> we had major floods and even though the clean up effort afterward was hard work, The Blessing to see hope in the eyes of those ya help was worth it all! Mark 9:41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

Amen Sis! I agree, the time is getting short to bring those into The Kingdom that we come in contact with daily. We all have a mission field right outside our doors, evangelizing family,friends and neighbors.... Maybe to speak the urgency, telling them of the signs we are to watch for and how many of them are upon us now, How will they know if we do not tell them?I also think of those that I've met in the past that did not know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and I often wonder.... How could have their life been different had I spoke up when I know I should have .. holding back because they might say something to me becuase I might offend them and I didnt want to jeopardize my friendship with them .. yet ... their eternity lies in the balance ... when will we take up our Cross and Follow Him ?... at all costs?
