    the unpardonable sin

I've always wondered what is meant by "blasphemy of the holy spirit"? If somone is a teenager, and curses and curses and swears at god really bad, is this blasphemy? Have they been shut off from God and can not be eventually saved? I was asked this question and didn't know how to respond. Mark
  8. How about turning this into a poll? Mark
  9. Didn't know he was writing fiction books. I rember taping his testimony in front of congress, and, read his book years ago on himself. Not familiar with any current books. Mark
  10. No, I do not, and, satan continues to rejoice that this continues to divide christians. That is of course unless one determines that throughout the last decade and a half every court, every judge, every attorney, every individual that decided with the way the end result ultimately occurred, is a thoughtless evil, condemned sinner. I just simply suggest once again, that is it possible that after 15 years in the court system, and despite additional attempts in the end, of which some called (christians) for civil disobedience, that perhaps despite some of mans best attempts to the contrary, God's will was finally done, and, Terry has gone to be with him. At any time, a miracle could have occurred. It did not. I mean have we become so selfrightous that we can not open ourselves up to the possiblity, that God, finally got tired of our intervening and allowed the correct end resutl. Is it possbile? And to compare this 15 year adjudication in the court system to an act (another post here) of Taliban (a discreet moment of beheading in a back alley)? Is this why sripture warns us to be careful of what comes out of our mouths?. Is that not significantly watering down the acts of the Taliban? Should our soldiers in the field, take this perspective and immediately commit mutiny and run home and stir a civil war, because our government is now the Taliban? And while we are on that subject, who appointed the liberal judges? Who put the politicians in office that appointment them? How many christians dont vote? In some of the forums here, I read about how "I didnt vote" cause they are both evil. Wow, that's great, so now perhaps a third totally evil write in candiate whom no one expected gets the job? Does that make sense? Are we not commanded to be involved in the voting process? Are we not to blame ourselves? How many christians settle for a benefit or a subsidy or somenthing that benefits their personal self from a un-christain politician? Christians united can rise up and put anyone in office and get anyone out. But, we shoot ourselves and are our own worse enemys, often insisting that we are right and using a scripture to back up one point than a different point when we want it to mean something else. I am so sad at what has happened here. I am further saddened by how we have hurt ourselves. I turned this over to God long ago and prayed fervently for Gods perfect will be done in the end. Is it possible that my prayer along with millions of other christians who prayed similarly was answered? Only god knows, but, I respect his decision in the end, knowing that he can do anything and will do anything if we are to far off track. Just my thoughts, for whatever they're worth. I accept that my feelings may be wrong. I tend to believe that God got tired of the bickering and allowed his ultimate will to be done. Time to come together and lets work on those politicians and the ones they appoint. Where we dont agree, get out and vote for someone anyway who supports your view, make it public, write in their name. I am sure the press will cover it, cause in most cases they'll laugh at it, but, in the end the viewpoint gets out to the public, and, when we stand in judgement, we did our best to effect government the best way we can, the vote. Dont like whos on the ballot, write in your pastor, your religious leader, yourself if you think you can do better. Mark
  11. Of course I first saw this and said, I wasn't going to fall for this, not even going to click on it. Then I read on and said gee, I was right not to fall for it. But, by the time I got to the last post, my curiosity got the best of me and clicked on it. Mark rofl at myself
  12. May God bless Terry, And may god bless Michael, her parents and her family. And may the healing of those left on earth commence. May, as christians, we open ourselves to the possibility, that perhaps for the past 15 years Gods perfect will was for Terry to go home to be with him, and, now despite man's efforts, he has effected that. He is God. His will prevails. He has/had the power to intervene at any moment. And, if what has happened, is not in his perfect will for Terry, than may we pray for the sanctification of those who participated in what has been the end result. God is great. God is awesome. God can do anything. Can we now try to work towards mending the damage that has been done? Mark

    rain

Was there a boat built, prior to the flood? Mark

    rain

The Pastor is correct, there was NO precipitation before the flood. Genesis 2:5 - And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground This is the first time that it rained. We also see that SOME of the water actually came from underground too. These "fountains of the Deep" can still be observed today under the oceans. There are geysers and ocean ridges spewing boiling water and sulphuric vapors into the seas. We see that the flood was NOT limited to one geographic region, as it is specifically stated that it was under the whole heaven, and the mountains were covered. Now I take an opportunity to preach on "natural use" of the man and woman. We see that four couples went onto the ark. They were 4 men and 4 women. Each man had a wife, not a husband. Each woman had a husband, not a wife. We see that the animals went in groups of two: one male and one female. However, there were actually seven pairs(Gen. 7:2, ) of each "clean" animals. This proves that the OT Law was originally given long before Moses, as there was already a distinction between "clean" and "unclean" and God didn't even have to stop and explain himself to Noah(see also Gen. 3: 21, 4:4). We see that EVERY animal was brought onto the ark, refuting the doctrines or theories that some creatures became extinct during the flood. We see that everything came "after its own kind" which means that nothing had "evolved" since it was created. Nor was there a pair consisting of one animal of one type, and another of another type, etc. Now, pardon the bluntness, but if even the animals could tell what went where, then human beings are without excuse. Even the animals knew to mate with the OPPOSITE sex. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Awesome, Mark

  17. In the end. Gods will well be done for Terry, despite what man wants, husband wants, parents want, and now dividied infighting christains want. How few times to I see the prayer for his will to be done. Isnt that whats important here. We all belong to him. God will prevail. Mark

    Clones

Isnt the question here is who created life? Cann't only God create life? Thus, if a clone is made, did God create it, or man? Mark
  19. Absolutely I believe in that bloodbought. No question. But reaching out to help those in need who come to Christian forums does not, in my understanding of the Scriptures, mean putting up with sin in our midst in so far as any of us argue, bicker, slanderously talk of each other, go around pronouncing false doctrine to be true, sharing agnostic and atheistic beliefs with each other, and so forth. I think you are making the same mistake that so much of the Christian world seems to be making these days. Namely equating the need to discipline those in our midst who call themselves brethren but who engage in divisiveness and unrepentant sin with being unloving and alternatively equating attempts to bring holiness into our midst through such discipline with being unwilling to help those in need who might be in the throes of some besetting sin. The two are not mutually exclusive. Is not our highest calling, even more important than helping those in need, to glorify God in the Church? To uphold his holiness in our midst? Without holiness the Bible says no one will see the Lord. And without the Church acting in holiness to expel wickedness from among us in a righteous way, people will not be able to see the beauty and magnificence of the God we worship. How can we as a Church help those in need to see the true character of Christ if we allow sin in our midst to go unchallengened, unconfronted, and undealt with? All under the mistaken notion that we must do so in order to minster to those in need? I am not saying that we should go around trying to find sin under every bushel. That is not what I am saying. Only that we need to start dealing with sin in our midst the way the Bible says to deal with it.
