  1. No.
  2. Does anyone know, why next Friday???
  3. New Orleans should be rebuilt again. It's incorrect to belive most people that have left would love living in the assighned city they are being sent to for relief. Of course they will apply for jobs in their new area but has anyone one heard of an overabundance of employment opportunities lately. A rebuilding of New Orleans can promise many skilled and unskilled jobs with hands on apprentanceship opening in all kinds of fields from laborers to architects, electricians to excavating. It is a rare chance to start with a fairly clean slate.
  4. It should stay in control of the Republican party. Cheney should take over in 2008 to continue with the plan.
  5. I would still like to be in New Orleans for the Mardi gras someday.
  6. Does anyone know if our government has accepted these offers or maybe the Red Cross?
  7. OK, Not by way of impeachment. But just to see it stay with the republican course. No excuses. He's in charge anyway, right?
  8. Some fools had to wait out the storm and could not evacuate. Some Christians had to wait out the storm and could not evacuate.
  9. I definitely agree with that. But I've been watching all the news channels non-stop (I have family close to there) and today was the first time I even heard the Governor of Louisianna's name. That doesn't absolve the Feds but the blame has to start with the people who were closest to the scene and didn't lift a finger. Who is responsible for carrying out contingency plans in the event of this exact emergency? That starts with local government (they were unable) so the next level is the State Government. They were (and still are) non-existant. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> She's been T.V. , flip back and forth from CNN & FOX. From what I've seen both are doing a fine job.
  10. I agree !!! I heard that 1500 people are being taken off search and rescue crews to control the looting. WHY??? People are dying right now under the rubble and the weak and elderly need shelter and medical assistance as soon as possible. I belive it should have stayed the pryority. The news always has to instill a fear factor, if the looting is so wild why are CNN & FOX always showing the same 14 second clip over and over. If some poor person takes a 27'' TV big deal! It will probably be dropped in the water anyway. Were are you going to put a looter? Would they take priority over someone that needs medical attention? Of all the things pounded over the news the looting keeps getting in the way of the information I'm wanting to here. Paranoia always has to be spread. I ask the Lord to give the rescuers strenth to continue and the victims the strenth to keep hope alive.
  11. This is awesome news for the environment. Maybe we should find a reason, there has to be one, to step up our military in Nigeria. The marshland there is also in trouble with oil.
  12. A lot of people were killed for the liberties you enjoy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i know that, but i'm pretty sure God doesnt want us to plot murder,we didnt give that man life so we dont have the right to take it.all i'm saying is that we shuld let God deal with it.are you guys suggesting God told that man to suggest murder?i doubt it <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mona, you have it right but you are going to have an uphill battle if you start using common sense to answer posts here. Some folks have alot of trouble using all the commandments. In the mist of a war the supporters will need answers other than "Love thy neighbor". Maybe it is to simplistic. They will need to quote parts of chapters even whole chapters of the Bible or history books for examples of the justification of their actions and thoughts. Thanks again for your post.
  13. Eternal salvation is a test that will last through every day of our life. It seems to me like many of the older generations had this correct. They were God fearing people who never expected to be saved, they just hoped and tried to do the will of God. If I end up in hell, which seems to be a possibility for all of us, it will be deserved. For some reason or another I fell short of doing the will of God. Do I live my life sorrowful believing this way? No, not at all. In fact it makes me try my best to stay in the straight and narrow path.
  14. Today was cooler out here by the colorado river,... only 122 yesterday,... 125 Mon,...129
  15. The thing about generalizations is that they never apply to every person in the group you are generalizing about. Especially since it is quite often that the person making the generalization is the exception. Are you a Christian? Do you hate war? Then "Christians" cannot "love a good war." <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Now that I reread what I wrote I did make generalizations. I did not mean to come off to be hypocritical. It was a complete generalization. I should not have said Christians love a good war. I am a Christian and did not say I hated war, hate is a wasted emotion that seems to weaken people. Don't hate it's bad. I will pray for the families that are affected. I will ask for protection over my nephew, my friends son, over the innocent, our soldiers and their families. When I hear of the deaths of innocent victims of war I try to pray for the families that must be going through terrible hardships. I do not hate war but people killing other people is killing other people. Justification comes from that persons moral beliefs.
  16. I don't have a lot of good things to say about the churches I've been to. I don't have much good to say about what I see in churches today. I has been hard identifing Christ's message in their message and actions. "Love thy neighbor" It aswers most questions.
  17. but not nearly as much as christians who give up territory that the Lord has given them without a fight... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Like who? Are you talking about North America? Or our, U.S.A.,govenment? I'm talking about the daily defense for killing others(war) in order to propel our morals.
  18. If we lose the war in Iraq it's because it's not in Heavenly Fathers' plan for America to win. He doesn't love Americans more than the Iraq people. Why would a Christian support war? it seems silly, but Christians love a good war. Jesus wants us to protect our house from the influences of evil, that makes simple sense. Killing in the name of ...... Wake up, stop being hateful in a loving way. Satan will always tell you that war is just. Any war.
  19. I'm sure satan loves all kinds of war on this earth. Probably loves listening to people defend it with Christian belifs
  20. Turn off your computer, let a friend keep it and stop engaging in the computer life for a couple of months, no e-mail nada. See how you feel after that. If you can go 2 months away from a computer than you can see how strong you are. Just give up the computer life, get out, it's summer. Take a vacation from your problems.
  21. Sorry to get off tract. Just the tought off people supporting the morals behind Wal-Mart is gross. Carry on.
