It usually is....warm, some hotter days...not much rain. A Mediterranean climate I read. However, we do have mountains two hours away which can get snow in Winter. Currently we are getting a rare atmospheric river so that is bringing more rain and snow. Sometimes the ski resorts have to use machines to make snow....but not now!

I saw a video where NYC would pay residents $125 a night to house illegal immigrants. The problem is...what if they come with bedbugs (very prevalent) or lice...or if they are mentally ill or a gang member? This day and age you have to be careful.

Sorry to say but it seems many Los Angeles workers are still the same as above. I've had other incidents of negligence or cases of workers not using their heads. Currently I've been dealing with the hospital billing department. Now my mom was hospitalized in October 2022. We never received a bill from the hospital. We got the doctors' bills which we paid immediately. And being a senior citizen, I didn't think about where's the hospital bill. Anyhow, I think it's at least two or three months now. Got a robo call from the hospital. With the scammers today, I was a bit suspicious. However I verified with the main hospital that it was a legitimate robo call number. Talked to a few people at the robo call number over the course of two or three months. Each time they said they were sending us the hospital bill for $1556. Hospital bill never came. Called the main hospital again. Found out they had our wrong address and no apartment number. Maybe wrong zip code...he didn't answer when I asked about the zip code. Anyhow, then called the robo call number back to inform them they have the wrong address! The man said he was correcting it and would send a new bill. Still waiting for the bill to arrive. Previously I had asked a lady at the robo call number "are you sending it to Place, not Boulevard." She claimed address was ok.... apparently not! Anyhow, been trying to pay the bill and no bill ever arrives. ???

Yes, it sure looks miserable for them.... first snow covered, then drenched with rain.

What kind of refugees are you seeing in The Netherlands? Is it all war torn countries?

There is a difference between actual refugees and people that the USA is dealing with currently. The people flooding our border with Mexico are crossing the border illegally trying to get benefits from the USA. Also, they want jobs here in order to send money back to their home countries. There might be some true refugees among them but probably not many. I think most Americans agree with helping true refugees.

Sometimes I read the YouTube comments because some of them can be funny. One person said they got here traveling through all of those other countries. Now they can't find their way out of Chicago!

Yes, we are having a good rain right now in the Los Angeles basin. Was expecting it to start yesterday. Supposed to get a couple more days of it. Just checked the nest. Jackie or Shadow fiddling with the sticks.

I just watched a video where they were refusing to leave 4 star and 5 star hotels! Because they didn't want to stay in a large tent-like (heated) shelter in the NYC area.

Actually most of these illegal immigrants are not facing persecution. They simply want to work in the USA so they can send money back home. I watched a lot of YouTube videos about this crisis.... really eye opening. I knew about the crisis but not how bad it really is. Five illegal Venezuelan men attacked a couple of NYC policemen... simply because police said not to block sidewalk. Found out they are with a Venezuelan gang!

Funny...those videos I watched on YouTube about the crisis. Some of them were saying NYC was worse than Africa! Some of them hated Chicago...too cold! They were wanting to return home or be given tickets to another State!

Due to all of the craziness happening under Biden... including the illegal immigrant crisis and inflation...guess I will vote Trump again. How about you?

After January 6th, I was disappointed with Trump not speaking up sooner to stop the rioting. (Previously voted for him.) However, after watching a bunch of YouTube videos about the illegal immigrant crisis in sanctuary cities, I guess I will vote for him again. The only thing good under Biden was savings interest went up.

Yesterday I started watching a couple of videos about the illegal immigrant crisis in sanctuary cities. Then more as they came up on YouTube . It's really unbelievable. They are even being housed for free in good hotels, given free food, credit cards, etc. I watched one video where the woman said she and her kids didn't like the (free) food! One lady said they all pitched in and bought a car! No driver's license....she said they drive carefully so they won't get caught! Some videos had Democratic black pastors saying that this crisis will cause many black men to vote for Trump. Their schools in Chicago were closed and medical clinic....but they were reopened for housing illegal immigrants and giving medical care to them. One black lady in Chicago was hopping mad... couldn't post that video due to her language. Oh, five of them attacked NYC police for asking them to not block the sidewalk! They are with a Venezuelan gang!

That's what's happening here. Since Texas (border with Mexico) was being so overwhelmed with illegal immigrants, their governor started sending many multitudes of busses of them to other cities. Most of the cities were "sanctuary cities." However, now they are becoming overwhelmed so aren't so keen on the idea now.

They are heading back to their home countries or asking for tickets to go elsewhere. Chicago's Winters I guess did it...

Oh, that's cute....broke their nest! lol Yes, the nest is smaller than last year. We are due more rain coming in late Sunday through Wednesday I think it is. While I especially enjoy hearing it, I know people and animals that are out in it have a hard time. The above were my thoughts about the matter. To me the Christian life is one of peace and joy...even while going through trials, the Lord helps us to get through them. I never think of "rules" but rather the outflowing of good things, the leading of the Holy Spirit from our hearts. This is a blessed walk....who wants to live a life of misery caused by the sins of the flesh?
