  1. How old are you, and how old is your brother? If you still live with your parents, it might be time to talk with them (out of love for him), and let them give out a big dose of tough love. If you are both out of the house, then you should be the one to hand out the tough love and help him set up some new boundries for his life (especially if he's a Christian).
  2. NOTE: I said not every dream. I'm not going to discuss or take this thread down the prophecy-through-dreams route.
  3. AMEN!!! Not every vivid dream is God trying to speak to us. Dreams are the result of the brain unwinding before it rests for the "deep sleep" part of the night. I've heard (though have no proof it's true), that the more artistic/creative a person is, the more creative their dreams are. just a thought
  4. I was JUST going to recommend Setting Capt. Free!! It's an awesome program and has a support program for the spouse(or gf/bf) of the person going through the program. Congrats on trying to rid yourself of this sin. You will be blessed... and also tempted. Keep going brother!
  5. HELLO!! Did no one read my response? the words "IN GOD WE TRUST" are on the coin around the edge; got one, seen it.
  6. Hold on: "In God We Trust" IS on the new coin! It's written around the edge in bold letters with "E Plurabus Unum" around the rest of it.
  7. I guess I've been blessed with some wonderful churches, lay people, and pastors. My last 3 churches have had their pastors since their churches' inception; and they've been there 20+ years. (btw, I only changed churches due to moving locations.)
  8. hey there Delilah, Shouldn't you be in school, hon? You're my daughter's age by the way
  9. You mean Garver? Just had to correct ya. I love that show. I would love to have Garver, or Kat do a tat. I don't have one, but my husband does.
  10. I think people used to see that only "biker-dudes" and rebels were the ones who mainly had tats. However, tats have been "cleaned up" (as far as the art itself). There is a WIDE range of tats: from the "dark side/evil" ones to the stylish, innocent ones that don't represent any sort of evil whatsoever. Just like Christians shouldn't wear sinful clothing items, they shouldn't wear sinful artwork. However, tasteful, neutral tats are completely fine, in my opinion. It reminds me of some hymns in the old days. Some were former "bar" songs, made into worship songs. It was SCANDALOUS for that day!!! Some hymns were considered blasphemous solely because they were "new" and had an "upbeat" sound/rythym. Yet, those are the same beloved hymns that many churchs thrive on. lol
  11. ... our hair falls out, we get wrinkles, age spots, saggy skin.... so?
  12. I dream about being pregnant, and giving birth now and then. It's always linked to a certain time of month with an increase of estrogen. Monthly hormone fluctuations affect us women in our thoughts and emotions. Besides, I think it's very clear that God wants us to always be increasing in our knowledge of Him and His word. We also need to continually reach out to others. I do not think that this dream has anything to do with revival. Why would God be so convoluded? The same things are taught in the Bible! He doesn't need to give you a symbolic dream about something He already says in His Word! I know you are a mom, and I'm a mom, and having had the experience of giving birth, it's pretty normal to relive something we've already done, in a dream. God bless you sis Jenni
  13. Maybe you could use what you wrote for discipleship material. Once someone becomes a Christian they really need guidance!
  14. One thing I noticed right away is the overuse of Christian "buzzwords". I know the language due to being a Christian already, and for so long, so the words are second nature to me, but my nonChristian neighbor would be lost right away. What you wrote is a very nice, and well thought out theme paper, but not quite what a Tract should be. Most tracts are very simple with great graphics, and powerful "punches" that get a nonChristian's attention.
  15. AMEN. That's what i was saying ^ there when I said not all depression is a bondage due to sin.
  16. You are both correct. I should used more tact. But I rejoice in that I seem to have gotten across what I was trying to say. AWESOME If she knows you well, she may know what you meant. We sensitive women always catch little "uh-oh's"
  17. I agree with miss pear, the words "ramblings" comes across very negatively, especially to a woman. Keep in mind that not all depression is bondage ("bondage" being linked to sin).
  18. I will So far we've both been too sick and/or busy to even talk about it.
  19. That's why I was asking my Christian brothers and sisters Sorry for offending you I agree with most all of the above advise. I just know when I get in a pickle, I always ask myself wwjd and then I pause and try to do what I know is right even if it does not work out in my favor. I try to avoid literal and spiritual loopholes and I must have faith even when I feel like crawling under a rock. Please forgive me, my intentions were not to offend you. You didn't offend me I just didn't want you to think that I hadn't already thought of going to the Lord, and then came here to seek advice of my bro's and sis' everyone's advice is MUCH appreciated.
