  1. I think we are all "hypocrites" at some point every day! If you say one thing but think something else... you are a hypocrite. It is a part of our world to day. Jennifer
  2. Grace.... Grace.... God's amazing Grace.... With out it where would we Be? Praising God with you Dani! Jennifer
  3. Thats Awesome! Isn't God good!
  4. Lately God has been telling me that the righteous WILL overcome! And that He loves me very much blessings Jennifer
  5. How do you view God? Do you see God through your circumstances? OR Do you see your circumstances through God? Perspective... how you see things... It makes all the difference in the world! If you need a new perspective maybe its time you moved... From where you are to where you can see things clearly!
  6. GodsCreation... If there is one thing that I have learned so far in life, its that living involves hurt. Love is no exception. When you make the choice to love someone you are taking a risk. Most of the times the rewards are far greater, but occasionally we do experience pain. Its not a bad thing, but a growing thing. This brings up the age old question, "Is it better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all?" I would have to say yes. Having love in your life makes everyday a little better, the sunshine a little brighter and life worth living. Jennifer
  7. Considering the fact that I don't know if I love him or not there is no possible way that I could love him more than God. Also I don't think that would ever be the case. God is the biggest and best thing in my life and no one especially a guy will ever change that.
  8. Hannah, I too have suffered from self-esteem issues my entire life. How do you deal with it? You have to take authority over the thoughts that go against what God says about you. God loves you, He cares for you and wants only the best for you. Someone once told me something that made a huge difference for me... If I had been the only person on earth that had ever sinned or was ever going to sin, God would have still sent Jesus to die for ME! Find some scriptures to meditate on (Jeremiah 29:11 is a good place to start!) Also get someone that you love and respect to write a list of good things that they see in your life. Then when you are having a rough day you can go over the good things that others think about you. It does help to know that someone else thinks that you are great. I think that you are great and so does God! Be blessed, I am praying for you Jennifer
  9. Hey everyone, I have a question for you all. How do you know if you are in love? The reason that I ask is... I am 22 years old and I am in my first relationship. I have never had a boyfriend or even been on a date until i met this guy. He is amazing, loves God with all that he is and we share many similar passions. We have only been going out for 3 months but it has been great. Anyhow last night he told me that he loves me and I was kinda surprised. I mean I have heard that you can fall in love that fast but never expected it to happen this quickly to me. I honestly didn't know how to respond. I like him... alot. But I don't know if I love him. I have never been "in love" so iI have no point of reference. I told him all this and he's totally cool with it and doesn't want me to say it back until I am sure. Its all I have been thinking about all day. How do I know? Can you help me? Thanks, Jennifer
  10. I do not believe that there is a specific age. But I do believe that once a child begins to understand right from wrong they then become accountable for their actions. For example they know that they are not supposed to touch something, but choose to anyways. They know what they are doing is wrong but the make a conscious choice to continue with their wrong behavior. Parents that love will hold them accountable for their actions. its not a specific age but more like a time period when they become aware of things.
  11. I completely agree with IslandRose.... I have heard of these kind of scams recently... People get your IM or email and start asking for money. Don't feel bad... tell her you'll pray that she gets what she needs, but that is all that you can do for her. Jennifer
  12. Thanks for your thoughts everyone.... The author of the book that I read (Phillip Yancy) Talked about the fact that Grace is supposed to be a life style, not just a one time thing. He also talked about the fact that "grace is Not a liscence to sin". If we approach God with the thought that because of grace we can get away with anything, we do not truely understand what grace is. "If we truely understand what Christ has done for us, then surely out of gratitude we will strive to live 'worthy' of such great love. We will strive for holiness not to make God love us more, but because He already does." I personally believe that if you understand grace, you don't ask where the line is so you can see how close you can get. But to see how far away from the line you can possibly run. Jennifer
  13. I was thinking about the Grace of God today and just how amazing it is. I recently read a book on the subject and it has changed my thinking. This is one of the things that the author (Phillip Yancy) said about grace... "Grace means that there is nothing that I can do to make God love me more; and nothing that we can do that will make Him love us less." Imagine... nothing that we can do or say will ever change the way that god feels about us. We're His children and He Loves us unconditionally. Just a thought Jennifer
  14. Daughter... I have been where you are too! feeling completely alone and unloved. Its the hardest thing to deal with. I went through some really hard stuff and the people who claimed to love me fled. I had no one. Thats when I turned to the one who was ultimate rejected... Jesus. God the Father turned away from his own son... because of us and our sin. Fall in Love with Jesus! He'll never let you down! Also begin to love yourself... you are worthy! You deserve to be loved unconditionally and you need to realize that! Don't judge your worthiness based on your past experiences... but based on God's love for you and the sacrifice that He has made. We were all made worthy based on Christ's sacrifice. Love ya Jennifer IF you ever need to talk... I'm here!
  15. Of course Satan knows Jesus is the truth. The Devil knows he's already lost, but in his pride he is trying to destroy whatever he can while he is still free to do so. He refuses to repent, refuses to cease his rebellion against God, even though he knows he can't win. He is simply trying to take as many souls with him, angel or human, makes not a whit of difference to him, because in his pride he wants to cause as much hurt to God and to God's creation as he possibly can. Its sort of an, "If I go down, I'm taking everyone else with me," attitude. I completely agree... Have you read the back of the Bible? it says that WE WIN! Satan has none since he got kicked out of heaven that He has a limited amount of time on the earth... He is going to do everything that he possibly can to mess up as many lives as possible! Jennifer

    Bibles

I personally prefer the NKJ and I have a Version of it that I really Like... it is called the "Spirit Filled Life Bible" It was put together by Pastor Jack Hayford and has alot of study tools right in it. It has made studying the Word easy and simple. I like easy and simple Jennifer
  17. Is tossing them really going to make a difference? I am sure that there are many more copies out there! The point is that you need to get rid of their influence on you. Trade them in, burn them, or sell them... but get rid of them. Jennifer
  18. I think that we have to be so careful that we don't judge... we do it even though we don't realize that we are sometimes. Telling your friend that you'll pray for him is great, but leave it at that. Non beleivers don't always understand that we have different standards of living. What is right behaviour for you, is not for them... Pray, without ceasing, but don't tell them what they are doing is wrong. You'll offend them and when you offend, you have no witness. God bless Jennifer
  19. There is a cut-off date to accept Jesus, either your death or the start of Jesus' reign on earth. Our own deaths are far more likely. Is he a Jehovah's witness?
  20. We were talking about the rapture, wether or not there is time between the rapture and Christ's reign. he said that there was not really any point in there being time between becasue every one that was going to go to be raptured was already going to be gone and that there were only so many people that were going to "make it".
  21. Recently My boyfriend and I were talking about the Rapture and end times. He started talking about the "Doctrine of the Elect". We talked about it for a while... but I didn't quite understand everything that he was saying . Anybody out there that can tell me a little more about what that is? and what it means? I am really interested in an answer. Thank you for your Help. ~Jennifer~
