I imagine that came from humanities ability to adapt to his surroundings. For instance, people from a sunnier climate would develope darker pigment than those from a cooler climate. An example. I have a blood disease called Thalasemia. The disease is caused by a mutation of the blood cells. You get it through heredity only. The origin of the disease is from the meditterenean sea region. One aspect of this disease is that those that have it are immune to malaria. In the area this blood mutation took place malaria killed a lot of people. There were a group of people who were able to adapt due to this blood mutation which made them immune to malaria. For instance, I gained 10 pounds over the winter as I adapted to the inactive winter months and ate more that usual due to the many hours indoors and the close locality of the refrigerator.

Greetings in Christ! You were told correctly. Jesus, who knew no sin, became sin, that we would become the righteousness of God (2 Cor. 5:21). And, since Christ became sin, or the sin-bearer, God could not look upon Him in that moment (Hab 1:13).

Actually, Jesus gave us some visible indicators that we could look for in the last days. They're found in Luke 21 and Matt 24. Also, the term "last days" has a dual meaning. Aside from the short period leading right up to Christ's return we also have the term used of the entire post-Incarnation era. So. we have technically been in the last days since the coming of Christ (Heb. 1:2; Acts 2:17; 2 Tim 3:1-7). /\ || ||

We did have 4 back-to-back major hurricanes in '04. I think it has already happened. I hope that was the extent of it.

I remember when I first learned of the pagan origins of the modern-day Christmas and Easter festivities I was very shocked. My personal opinion is that we are in the last days. Jesus gave us a snap shot of what the world would be like just before His return. Here is what He said: Mat 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. That sure sounds a lot like the situation today. Just today there was another 8.7 earthquake in the islands off of Asia. We cannot know the day or the hour, but Christ did say we could discern "the times." Mat 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: Mat 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Hello, my brothers and sisters. Has anyone heard of this Recommendation 666 thing? Yesterday at Easter dinner a member of my extended [by marriage] family brought up some interesting things. The first was regarding Javier Solana as being the EU's head guy. It was interesting to learn that his name says quite a lot. Javier means "Savior," and Solana means "light-bringer," or something to that effect. Interesting, indeed. Then, there's the Recommendation 666, which is much like a House or Senate Bill or Resolution here in the States. I wouldn't actually call this thread "gossip." Gossip is saying behind someone's back what you would not say to his face. It is a secret, dirty little thing that has malicious intent. Rather, I think it good that those who listen to, or follow, Mr. Hinn's teaching would be wise to his devices. Remember, your sin will find you out. And, Mr. Hinn's certainly has. Not that we don't all sin. But, we don't all rake in millions of dollars from the Lord's people under the guise of "ministry" and then splurge it on the "lifestyles of the rich and famous." It is never unloving to identify the wolves amongst the sheep.

If you are so unsure about yourself Trinity it sounds like you need to get into the Scriptures. I'm pre-trib and I'm quite certain of it. But, I wouldn't call someone a heretic who thought otherwise. Nor would I burn them at the stake.

The Bible teaches that we are all guilty in Adam. But, the Bible also teaches that Christ was made sin for us so that we could become the righteousness of God. Problem = Sin Solution = Christ Pretty simple. Remember, we sin because we are sinners. We are not sinners because we sin. No child has the chance to live a sin-free life.
